Hello, my name is Mike Ward. I am a Beach Body Coach. I have gone through the 1st round of P90X. I can tell you from experiance that this is worth the hard work it takes to get the body you want. It doesnt matter what workout program you are doing, YOU ARE WELCOME HERE!!! If I dont know the answers to your needs then I know the people who will and we can all transform together. I am currently on my 2nd round of P90X. I can also tell you that the food you eat is 75% of the battle. Get the help and support you need right here on this thread. Log in every day and tell us about your daily workout, send us your daily diet if you need help in that area. Offer everyone ides that have helped you. Thanks and KEEP PUSHING PLAY!!!!!!

Here are a few tips to get you going:

Nutrition
• If you want to see great results, you have to focus on your nutrition as much as the workouts. Nutrition plays a key role in how you will reach your goals and attain the new and better you! Be prepared by getting a solid nutrition plan in place prior to starting. You can do this week-to-week or even plan out your entire month. Over time you will learn new eating habits that you can carry with you for the rest of your life.

• Shakeology is a great way to meet all of your nutritional needs! As a meal or a snack it fuels your body with everything it needs in order to BRING IT everyday!

Track your progress
Where are you now? Where do you want to be? Have Goals!

• Nothing is more important or motivating than to see where you started and how you are progressing along the way! It is so CRUCIAL that you do the following BEFORE you begin:

• Take your Measurements
• Take your before & after pictures
• Take the fit test

I can’t tell you how many people on my previous threads told me they were so mad at themselves for not doing this before they started.

Write down everything including your reps, your weight and your food intake. Utilize the Excel Workbook to track your workout progress. P90X Excel Workbook
P90X Excel Worksheets

Also utilize the tools that TBB provides. Complete your profile, and track your measurements and weight online. I use MyFitnessPal online to track my food diary as well as my calories burned each day. You can add me as a buddy and we can learn and grow together.

Pre-Workout

• These workouts are intense! The right fuel will help your body “Bring It!” with the intensity you need! If you eat a pre-workout meal, is very important to wait about an hour before you work out. Eat too soon and you could end up losing the meal instead of bringing the intensity!

• If you workout first thing in the morning you might want to skip eating and take a pre-fuel 15 minutes prior to working out. I drink about 1/3 of my recovery drink prior to working out. It gives me all the energy I need to complete the toughest workouts.

Post-Workout

Keep in mind the first week is exceptionally rough! Expect to be sore and tired: Do not give up! Your body will adapt quickly and in no time you will start seeing some crazy results. You may want to do a few non-P90X workouts prior to starting just to get your body & mind ready.

• Recovery: After an intense P90X workout, it is vital to recover the right way. I cannot stress enough how important this is. By adding a recovery drink immediately after your workout, you will significantly decrease the amount of soreness you will experience while your body recovers. Intense exercise will burn off glycogen stores in the muscles which leaves the body without its primary source of energy. The longer you are in this state, the greater the chances your body will panic and may actually breakdown your existing muscle to create more glycogen—the exact opposite of what we are working for! Plus low blood sugar levels in the brain will lead to fatigue, irritability, lack of concentration, depression, etc. The P90X Recovery Drink will replenish your muscles with glycogen, you will not only avoid muscle breakdown, but you will promote muscle growth and keep your energy levels up. The P90X Recovery Drink is a great product and I highly recommend it.

• Accountability: Post your accountability DAILY on the message boards! This is the key to staying motivated. Here is an interesting statistic I’ve noticed over the past couple of threads I’ve been in. Out of all the people who join the thread and commit to the workouts, less than 20% will complete the full 90 day program! But what I found is, of those of post every day they are 90% likely to complete the program and transform their lives.

The message boards and forums are a great way to meet others that are going through exactly what you are and it helps stay accountable and motivated! Your forum buddies will have tips and information that has helped them and could help you as well. You will be doing the same in no time!

BODYBEAST Bulk: BACKI haven't worked out for four days due to a very busy week, I can't wait to get back on a good schedule workout because after tonights workout I feel great..I increased the weights from last time and my lats are saying yea you worked me out..My Avg burn 136 peak 170 Burn 774

My name is Kim. I'm starting Insanity today, 10/08/12 for the second time. I hit month two of Insanity last go 'round and the exercises just seemed too difficult. I hung in there and lost 15 lbs overall. My bigger challenge is controlling my eating habits, I never seem to get enough salt. I've switched to Himalayan salt and that's helped alot, but I could use the support of a workout group. I workout regularly at 7:00 pm EDT.

Kim, YOU ROCK FOR NOT GIVING UP!!! So many others will will stop after a while. I will help you every day. I'm just finishing up my 2nd round of P90X and about to do Insanity also. You will find a lot of support here as well as food tips, workout tips etc. I finally get to workout out with somebody like me who does it at night. I'm excited now.

Kim, as you probably know all to well by now that each night just do your very best. Thats it. No hidden tricks. Put the DVD in. and go through the motions until your heating up. Then rock it until you cant go any longer. If that means you only went 13 minutes then GREAT!! Tomorrow we'll do 13 1/2 mins. You are building a sports car body. Takes time to build a high performance car. Also have to feed it with high performance food. GLAD TO HAVE YOU ON BOARD!!

Hey CoachMike-

I was reading over the message boards and ran across several of your posts. You were very positive and encouraging and I thought I could certainly use some of that!

I just finished my second Insanity Fit Test (day 15). I count that as a workout as abbreviated as it may be :-) I have not missed one workout and am pushing myself as much as I can. I cannot wait to see some results!

I hope you don't mind me crashing your thread!

Kim, getting close to 7pm, are you pumped?? I know I am, can wait to push hard. There are those nights where I just am not feeling it. I've gooten to where I look forward to those days. The hard days. Because when you complete that workout. You can scream at the TV and say IN YOUR FACE!!!

Hi Gaby, to change your goals in myfitnesspal, you click on Goals---Then click Change Goals--then click custom---and there you are change the goals to what you want I am working out to BodyBeast and macronutrient ratio are 50-carbs 25-protein 25-fat...

Body Beast Bulk: Arms They say push play everyday, for results regardless what you want and eventually the little goals will turn into big goals..Maybe you want a stronger back so your posture is better or maybe you want more energy, by pushing play everyday you will achieve those goals, it will happen!!

I got one heck of a pump on my Arms tonight..I really love this workout, next time I'm gonna be increasing the weight a little..Total Burn tonight 637
