I am in the same situation. I just finished a p90x/Insanity hybrid and am now taking a 'month off' before I start up p90x2.
Nothing wrong with letting your body recover a little

Go do some other activities that you enjoy such as running, hiking, cycling etc. You also can throw in some workout discs here and there as you like, but I do not feel it is necessary to continue on for 6 days a week with p90x prior to moving on to Insanity.
For instance, this week I have taken 2 days off, done 2 p90x workouts, an Insanity workout, went for a 5 mile run and just hiked 4 miles this afternoon. I'd still stay active and keep eating right, but not totally necessary to crank out 6 workouts a week p90x style.
