**** IMPORTANT Nurtition Tips - Please Read ****
10/6/12 1:24 PM as a reply to CoachGregA.

Nutrition
• If you want to see great results, you have to focus on your nutrition as much as the workouts. Nutrition plays a key role in how you will reach your goals and attain the new and better you! Be prepared by getting a solid nutrition plan in place prior to starting. You can do this week-to-week or even plan out your entire month. Over time you will learn new eating habits that you can carry with you for the rest of your life.

• Shakeology is a great way to meet all of your nutritional needs! As a meal or a snack it fuels your body with everything it needs in order to BRING IT everyday!

Track your progress
Where are you now? Where do you want to be? Have Goals!

• Nothing is more important or motivating than to see where you started and how you are progressing along the way! It is so CRUCIAL that you do the following BEFORE you begin:

• Take your Measurements
• Take your before & after pictures
• Take the fit test

I can’t tell you how many people on my previous threads told me they were so mad at themselves for not doing this before they started.

If you want the best results, if you want to maximize your results, not just in the Insanity Workout, but any fitness program, you MUST track your progress. You simply cannot get to where you want to be, unless you know where you’ve been, and that’s why you need the worksheets. You only get one set of Insanity worksheets when you purchase the program. People are finishing their 60 days, and are ready for round 2! Download the Insanity Fit Test Worksheets that I created.

Another popular request is the Insanity Workout Calendar. No problem. Download the Insanity Calendar. Also if you are wondering how to add the deluxe workouts then pay particular attention to the statement at the bottom of this Insanity calendar download. It gives you a couple of ideas on how to use the deluxe DVDs.

Also utilize the tools that TBB provides. Complete your profile, and track your measurements and weight online. I use MyFitnessPal online to track my food diary as well as my calories burned each day. I would highly recommend signing up and add me as a buddy. My id is garmfield. MFP also has apps for iPhone, Andriod, and Blackberry.

Pre-Workout

• These workouts are intense! The right fuel will help your body "Dig Deeper!!!" with the intensity you need! If you eat a pre-workout meal, is very important to wait about an hour before you work out. Eat too soon and you could end up losing the meal instead of bringing the intensity!

• If you workout first thing in the morning like I do you might want to skip eating and take a pre-fuel 15 minutes prior to working out. I drink about 1/3 of my recovery drink prior to working out. It gives me all the energy I need to complete the toughest workouts.

Post-Workout

Keep in mind the first week is exceptionally rough! Expect to be sore and tired: Do not give up! Your body will adapt quickly and in no time you will start seeing some crazy results. You may want to do a few non-dvd workouts prior to starting just to get your body & mind ready.

• Recovery: After an intense Insanity workout, it is vital to recover the right way. I cannot stress enough how important this is. By adding a recovery drink immediately after your workout, you will significantly decrease the amount of soreness you will experience while your body recovers. Intense exercise will burn off glycogen stores in the muscles which leaves the body without its primary source of energy. The longer you are in this state, the greater the chances your body will panic and may actually breakdown your existing muscle to create more glycogen—the exact opposite of what we are working for! Plus low blood sugar levels in the brain will lead to fatigue, irritability, lack of concentration, depression, etc. The Beachbody Recovery Drink will replenish your muscles with glycogen, you will not only avoid muscle breakdown, but you will promote muscle growth and keep your energy levels up. The Beachbody Recovery Drink is a great product and I highly recommend it.

• Accountability: Post your accountability DAILY on the message boards! This is the key to staying motivated. Here is an interesting statistic I’ve noticed over the past couple of threads I’ve been in. Out of all the people who join the thread and commit to the workouts, less than 20% will complete the full 60 day program! But what I found is, of those of post every day they are 90% likely to complete the program and transform their lives.

The message boards and forums are a great way to meet others that are going through exactly what you are and it helps stay accountable and motivated! Your forum buddies will have tips and information that has helped them and could help you as well. You will be doing the same in no time!

So ready to get started? First step, post your commitment to join the team, and second, add me as a buddy and I'll give you more important information. I look forward to getting to know you and seeing the new you!

Excellent!

Our team (3) from the other side of the world is in again. We just started our 3rd week of P90X2 and we have moved on to Phase 2 of the program. Our finish date is Dec 6th.

Also doing some Insanity mixed in for an evening workout between bike rides. Our primary workouts are done early each morning (90X2).

Team Engage is one of the best on this site and Greg is a great Coach! You can get eveything you need right here and more. Better than the rest of the best, IMO.

This will be our second round following Team Engage.
Nutrition is most important for desired results. Check in here everyday with your workouts and it WILL keep you accountable, plus help push you through.

Let's do this!

KPP - No regrets!

I am in Coach. I wonder if we can top the last thread of almost 3300 posts. I will be doing the hybrid workout for a few more weeks than it will either be Insanity Round 2, or The Asylum.

Hey everybody, listen, this is no joke. This works. You have already made the decision to change your lifestyle for the better, that is why you are here. If you commit yourself and follow the program, you will succeed. Will it be hard, yes. Will you have good days and bad, yes. Will it be worth it, YES. No matter why you are here: lose weight, tone up, get into better shape, or just to learn, the group on this thread are here to help in any way they can to ensure you reach your goals.

Besides doing the workouts and following a healthy diet, you are now reading a key factor for success - this board and Coach Greg. It is amazing how much support, motivation, and education you will get here. If you are uncomfortable posting pics or sharing your story, it's OK. You just have to make the commitment to come here everyday and post your accountability. That's it. You will be amazed at how this one little thing can actually keep you pushing play!

I am looking forward to seeing all my friends from the previous thread and meeting all the new people who will be joining this one.

KPP

Hey all, I'm again for this round. Will be completing my existing P90x program, then plan to start a hybrid of Insanity/P90x. Along with those morning workouts, I'm still doing a mid afternoon walk or jog as just as possible, just depends on my work calendar and the weather. Softball season has a few more weeks, but hockey is starting up so I hope to be on the ice a couple days a week as well.

Looking forward to staying connected to friends from the previous two threads as well as meeting new friends.

Stick with the program, eat healthy, and post everyday as accountability. This stuff works...I'm walking proof!

Hey Team! I'm definately in for another round! My name is Melanie, I'm a 31 year old wife and mother of a farmer and 3 kids. We enjoy the quiet small town country life, and share our space with 3 cats (who think they own our house), 6 hamsters (don't ask how that happened...) numerous fish, an angora rabbit, 2 farm dogs, and numerous farm cats. Oh, and don't forget the chickens...lol

I started my BB journey this past May with Insanity. Prior to this, I didn't exercise at all. So Insanity was quite a shock to the system. Shaun gave me what I needed, a swift kick in the butt. After Insanity, I began p90x, but that was interrupted quite a bit with summer traveling. After the kids got back in school and things slowed down, I decided I needed something more upbeat and switched to Turbo Fire. I'm 2 weeks into the program and loving it! I've recently begun adding a couple BBL workouts as well.

My initial goals were to lose that last 15lbs. and build some muscle. I've met all my original goals, and have since set new ones. Increase those muscles, and continue toning some problem areas. While I realize after 3 pregnancies (and a genetic predisposition to stretch marks) my abs will never be the same, I am proud of my stripes and will continue to work towards improving the rest of my body. I plan to begin running, hoping to do a 5k next spring/summer.

For you newbies to the boards and TBB, WELCOME!! Take advantage of the boards, we help each other stay motivated. The programs work, just stick with it and you will NOT be disappointed!!
