Starting P90X in October? Join me as we work together to complete the P90X Challenge and provide accountability and support to our team.

My name is Coach Michelle and I am committed to my fitness goals. I finished my first round of Insanity in June and am winding down my second round this week. I also completed the Insanity Asylum Challenge in July. Shaun T's programs are awesome!

Let's work together to complete this challenge before the holidays. Before you begin, here are some tips to consider:

PLEASE READ!!

Nutrition: Be prepared by getting a solid nutrition plan in place prior to starting. You can do this week to week or even plan out your entire month. It plays a key role in the success of this program. If you want to see extreme results you need to spend some time getting comfortable with your nutrition. Over time you will learn new eating habits that you can carry with you for the rest of your life.

Where Your At: Make sure you document where you currently are. You will flip out at the end of 60 days when you see the results.

* Take your Measurements
* Take your before & after pictures
* Take the fit test

Pre Workout: Ensure you have enough fuel to get the intensity during your workouts. A pre-workout meal an hour or so before your workout is very important. But make sure not to eat right before you workout. These routines are intense and you could end up loosing it if you workout to soon after eating. Shakeology is a good way to fill up the tank before a good workout! Added bonus it taste awesome and its good for you! emoticon

Early Morning Workouts: If you workout first thing in the morning you might want to skip eating and take a pre-fuel 15 minutes prior to working out. I know many of us have crazy schedules and do not have an hour+ to get a meal in then wait before we workout.

Post Workout: One of the most important part of any exercise routine is a proper recovery. I cannot stress how important it is to add a recovery drink immediately after your workout you will significantly decrease the amount of soreness you will experience while recovering from your workouts. The P90X Recovery Drink is a very good product and I highly recommend it.

Keep in mind the first week is rough! Expect to be sore and tired. Do not give up your body will adapt very quickly and in no time you will start seeing results. You may want to do a few of the workouts prior to starting just to get your body & mind ready.

Lastly post your Accountability Daily. The message boards are a great way to meet others that are going through what you are going through and it helps stay accountable and motivated! Send me a buddy invite so I can reach out to you if you don't show for a few days!If you want to get e-mail notifications when people post on here, don't forget to click the "Subscribe" button at the top of this thread!

I look forward to getting to know you and leaving it all on the floor! Walking away from this a leaner and healthier person!

Let me know if you have any questions!

Michelle

Good morning! Today I watched the "How to Bring It" video and reviewed the P90X Extreme Home Fitness Guide -- great stuff! Also reviewed the P90X Nutrition Plan. Planning to take the Fit Test on Sunday; will also take the before pics, measurements and weight.

Love the choices: Classic, Doubles, Lean: I am planning to follow the Classic workout program for this round.

Post for support and accountability!

Make it a great day,

Hey Coach Michelle,
I am currently in my 4th week of Insanity, would love some feedback from you about it as you have finished the program. Did you get the results you were expecting? I feel so much stronger already and hoping to only go up from there emoticon

I did a little of P90X in the past but my love for Chalene Johnson steered me to CLX when it came out...I'm a Chalene addict! I am thinking about doing CLX again after I'm finished Insanity, I'd like to do two rounds of Insanity which will bring me to the end of December and then I will conquer 2013 with some CLX.

Pushing play today!

Trish

Hi Michelle,

Great information you have there.

I'm not starting P90X, I'm finishing up my last 2 weeks of Insanity. After this I plan on doing some TurboFire and add in some weights or maybe workout on the olympic rings I have hanging in my garage.

Good morning, Trish! My experience with Insanity was good. In month one, I gained strength and endurance (was especially happy with the improvement in the fit test). In month two, my clothes fit better, I lost some weight and inches.

Overall my Insanity results to date are:

1) Increased energy, strength, endurance and confidence
2) Improved tone and firmness
3) Clothes fitting much better (smaller sizes, too)
4) Lost 13.3 pounds and 16.5 inches; body fat down by 7.5%

Thanks to Insanity, I am READY TO TACKLE P90X!!!! - STARTING TOMORROW.

Get ready to dig deeper on month two and good luck with CLX. I am looking at her workouts for 2013 as well.

Make it a great day,

I'm in, I start Core Synergistics right now. I have started a couple times over the last 3 months, but this is the help I need. A broken foot running this summer has set me back but I am committed to regain my fitness. Look forward to viewing this board each day.

Beast Day 3 - Back and Biceps.

Wow. I can do a lot of pull-ups but super-set them with other back exercises and, well, um, not so much. My weights were good on all my back work but biceps I was all over the place. Too lite for one exercise and too heavy for the next. Learning phase I guess.

Speaking of biceps. I'm used to X and X2 where you go back and forth with back/biceps. After pre-fatiguing the biceps doing back, the biceps were fried.

Loving this so far. Tomorrow is Diamond day (Shoulders). I love that Beast has a day just for shoulders. Strong cantaloupe shaped shoulders are the cherry on top of a great shaped body.

After tomorrow I will be off for three days camping at the beach. I'll run all three and return to Day 1 Beast when I return.

Jason - thanks for the note... Way to crush your workouts! Who invented pull ups anyway? They are currently getting the best of me!

Right on!! I did my first day today also - Chest and Back, took the boys to football practice, came home and did Ab Ripper. What a wake up call that I need some work. I did the photos and measurements on the weekend and will put my 'before' pics in my album soon.

Jason - Welcome to the team! My shoulders are still burning from yesterday's Chest and Back workout. It is a good burn, though! Ab Ripper is a killer workout emoticon

I completed Ab Ripper X this morning and will be completing Plyo tonight after work.

Remember that week one is the harderst and you will be sore. Don't push beyond your limit; good form is important. Get plenty of water and make sure you are fueling your body with the right foods. Let me know if you have any questions about your calorie intake or nutrition plan.

As Tony says... Do your best and forget the rest.

Keep pressing play,

Yesterday I started day 1 of p90x! I just finished the chest and back DVD. I tried doing this a month ago and only lasted about three weeks before fizzling out. I'm trying it again now.

I'm wiped out now! Wow... I actually didn't finish the whole thing. I skipped the last two exercises and the ab workout. I actually felt like I was going to pass out. I'm sure that next time around will be a little easier though.

I'm about to take some before pictures too.

I'm still a bit overwhelmed with the nutrition piece of this. I may need some help on some ideas of how to make this easier and more manageable and what works and doesn't work for people starting out.

Also, I'm curious how many calories I should be eating? I know this probably gets asked a lot, but I'm still new to this. I'm 5' 10", and weight about 182 right now. I definitely have some extra weight around my midsection that I'd like to lose during this proces..
