Hello , I am going to start chalene extreme next week. Im finishing my first ever round of insanity this week. I will actually be doing a hybrid of chalene and insanity , replacing chalene's cardio days and a rest day with insanity. If anyone else is starting one of these days please join in. I would love to have some company , motivation and support along the way! emoticon

I am starting tomorrow. I have some hybrids with CE and TurboFire that you are welcome to tweak for Insanity. I will attach them for you.

I am adding the HIIT workouts to Circuit days and running and ab work on 2 of the cardio days. Then running and flexibility to the 3rd cardio day.

sounds great! thanks for the schedules. I will be making a 12 week schedule without recovery weeks. Since insanity is intense enough i wont be adding anything on those days. The ab routines i will be adding to the circuit days.
I didnt get the results i wanted with insanity alone. Tomorrow is my last day of insanity. I hope the hybrid will give me some results. I need to lose 35 lbs. I only lost 11 lbs with insanity. Its not much because i have a lot to lose.

How many lbs of dumbels will you be starting with?

I'm with you...staring CX tomorrow. I started it earlier, but totally lost motivation. Going to restart tomorrow and make no excuses this time. I can only get out what I'm putting in emoticon

I started out with weights ranging from 7.5 to 25 lbs. Hope this helps, but everyone is different. I would think weights going to 50 lbs should be sufficient, but have only done the Burn Circuit.

I'm starting CLX tomorrow. Just finished INSANITY this past week and TurboFire this past spring. In total with the two programs (and Shakeology) I have lost about 24 pounds and 2 full dress sizes. I'm excited to get some weight training going! Still trying to decide if I am just going to do the program as is or add in some INSANITY maybe (I just loaned TF to a friend, so that's not an option right now, except for the bonus TF CD that came with the program). I'm sure I will do something on one of the rest days because I am so used to working out 6 days a week right now, I will feel weird not keeping that pace. Good luck to all!

Mollygun congrats on your accomplishments so far! They are amazing! i just finished my first round of insanity yesterday and will be doing a hybrid with chalene now. I really need to build some strength and muscle and i think chalene will do a good job with it. Best of luck for starting chalene. Let us know how it goes! emoticon

Hi Everyone,

I started my CLX today. Just finished Burn Circuit 1. I do need the motivation. I have been starting and stopping the past few months and I have gained almost 10 pound since. My goal is to be fit by the end of the year! Looking forward to the motivation and accountability.

Hi fitginnie, I share your goal of getting fit by years end. I've been saying this since the spring. Although my actual fitness has improved, my physical appearance is about the same, time to get committed and do something about it.

Hi Poetchild,

I will be doing a CLX/TF hybrid as well but I am also adding at least 2 runs a week. I haven't ran in a while and during the summer here I don't run, at 5AM it usually around 90. But this mooring it was about 70. But I love those TF songs!

Accountability:
Sunday: Burn Circuit 1, ran 1 mile
Monday: TF Fire 45EZ and stretch 10

My eating was fairly clean. I am working on not stress eating or boredom eating. Did have three Heresy's squares today. I teach at a continuation high school with some challenging students and today I was wishing Corpal punishment could be reinstated for 2 special ones. TF made that feeling go away.

Fitginnie, the first step is starting, and now that you've got that down all that's left is to finish! You can do it. Keep that end goal in sight daily in order to maintain that motivation. I have had ups and downs over the past 7 months, but knowing where I am today I am so thankful I stuck with it. You will get there, I promise!

LeanLisa, I love how a good workout can clear the head! I find myself grumpy on days I don't workout.

Started today with Burn Circuit 1 and threw in the greatest HIITS at the end, made me wish I hadn't loaned out my full TF set because I can already see wanting to add some TF workouts on these lift days. I think tomorrow I will do and INSANITY workout since it's a CLX rest day. I would love to get some select techs for this program, but they are a little more than I want to spend. I'm going to have to find time tomorrow to pick up a set of 8 pound and 15 pound dumbells. Today I used 5s, 10s, and 20s, but I definite need more weight ranges than that. Hopefully the 8s and 15s will be good enough along with what I already have.

Hello! I am two days from finishing Insanity and just ordered Chalene Extreme! I will be starting next week so we could motivate one another; question, did you buy weights? I'm looking right now at buying free weights or adjustable. I think it would be easier to transition using free weights in between the exercises!

Hi! I'm doing CLX now and am in the 2nd week of the Push phase. I really like it! I did Insanity right before this too. I lost 5 lbs and several inches with Insanity so not as good as I would have liked either but I felt great!

In the first 30 days of CLX I lost 5.5 lbs and 7.75 inches! I am a believer now! I do an Insanity workout on one of the rest days too. I can't wait to see what the full 90 days brings me! Good luck to you all! Follow the nutrition guide if you can - eat 5 times a day. I think it makes a difference.

Also, I would give the Burn Intervals a try - it's a good workout. Not as intense as Insanity but good! I plan on doing a hybrid of the 2 when I'm finished in November.

I bought the Golds Gym adjustable weights from WalMart online. Shipping was reasonable and quick. They were $52 each. 5-25 lbs. They work great!
