New here, could use some friends and support!

Hi everyone! I'm a 27 year old female weighing in at 264 (eek). I would ideally like to weight around 160 as I'm pretty tall (5'9"). I have tried to lose weight in the past, several times, but this time I'm very serious. I thankfully have no related health problems, but I know it's a very real possibility in the future. I also want to be healthy enough to have kids and stick around and annoy them for a very long time...

I live in the midwest with my extremely athletic/skinny husband and my cat. I like "outdoorsy" stuff (walking, hiking, canoeing, etc), dancing, and I have just ordered Slim in 6 so I hope I like that as well.

I'm definitely looking for support and accountability buddies on here. Please let me know if you'd like to be friends!

I just joined today. I am starting P90x tomorrow. I would love a workout buddy!! I just took my measurements and my husband took my before picture...yikes!! Ugh, I'm already feeling defaeted before I even start. I clocked in at 203, which is pretty freaking awful for a 5'2' woman. I hae gained about 40 pounds in the last 15 months from the sit down job I took and now I cant fit into anything I own except the clearance dresses I bought from Target!! I think we can motivate each other!

I have friends who LOVE Slim in 6. It is their go-to program. They have had great success with it.

We have a thread for women who are losing/lost 100 pounds or more. C'mon over. We also have a healthy eating group on Facebook.

I would love to be friends! We're the same age! Yay! Lol. Have you ordered any of the Beachbody programs? I started out with TurboFire and loved it! I've lost over 90 pounds with Beachbody. It's the only real thing that's helped me because of the support and motivation. I would definitely love to help motivate you! I'll send you a friend request. emoticon

Thank you! emoticon You can definitely get there, it takes time, but it in the end it's so worth it. Have you received Slim in 6 yet? If so, how are you liking it so far? That's a program I haven't tried yet and I'm really interested to see how others like it because I might think about purchasing it.

I got it Friday and started Sunday. So far I'm loving it! It's challenging but not so much that I want to quit. I can already feel my arms and legs and abs being sore (in a good way though). I took today off for my ballroom dancing lesson but I'll be back at it for the rest of the week! I'll keep you updated as I go on! emoticon

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying it so far! I think I might have to order that one next. Ballroom dancing lessons? That sounds like soooooo much fun!!! I've always wanted to learn how to ballroom dance. I bet you're having lots of fun with that. I look forward to your updates. Hope you're enjoying your weeks so far! emoticon

I just wanted to congratulate ALL of you for deciding you were going to do what you need to do to become healthier, lose weight, or reach that goal in fitness! Feel free to add me as a buddy! I actually started off back in 2005 with Power 90, then I worked on my own for a bit, completed Insanity, P90X, and Bodybeast. I am getting ready to start P90X2 and sub in Turbofire for additional cardio when needed. I helped one of my friends (through accountability) lose over 136lbs from October 2011 through October 2012. It was a guy friend but I tell you what, he looks like a COMPLETELY different man!! Keep pushing play, digging deep, and focus on your goals! You'll get there..after all, you have all of us to help you!!

Hello everyone. I know this sounds pretty lame, but I'm in need of friends on here. I've been a member for awhile, but now I'm renewing my resolve to annihilate this extra baggage on here. I have about 30 pounds to lose, I'm trying to do something about this before I have another baby. If you could add me as a friend on here, that would be great.

I'm a 26-year-old woman who lives in the ultra-rural west, and I used to be into soccer and softball before I got married and had kids. I own Insanity, but I haven't been able to complete it because of an old knee injury...I'm hoping I can strengthen it and try again.

If I could have someone that I could report to and feel guilty if I didn't do what I was supposed to, that would be great. Thanks!

Hey there!

I just sent a buddy request and would love to help keep you accountable. That's what we are here for. I enjoy helping others get through their program. I have done 3 different BB programs and in January will start my 4th program! I believe in these programs. I know you will be able to accomplish your goals. We all look back at what we used to look like and find that as motivation. Then we also look at our kids and think, I NEED their energy to keep up with them. Then we look at our husbands and think I wanna look hot and in shape. As for your knee injury, modify any workouts to prevent it from coming back. Accept my buddy and I can help you.
