Plyo mat vs. yoga mat.
Plyo mat vs. yoga mat.

Is the plyo mat good for yoga as well?
I got a cheap yoga mat at Target and I'm slipping a lot from my sweat, so I need something better.
The plyo matt looks really good, but I'm not sure if I'll slip on it when I'm doin yoga.
Any ideas?

I don't have a Plyo Mat but I do have a thick yoga mat. I do hot yoga and I find that the thicker mat doesn't slip as much as the thinner mats do. I also have a towel that I use which is a "no slip" towel which also helps.

Personnaly i bought some interlocking mats from nefitco and i am not disapointed. They have a lot of thickness choices to choose from depending on your usage.

I bought the 3/4'' thick, there is even a reference in the item description as designed for P90X emoticon

Like my grandma used to say, "Cheap is expensive." After spending 20 dollars 4 times on cheap yoga mats, I bought the Plyo mat from beachbody. It is firm yet pliant, and is not slippery at all. It is very dense, and stands up to jumping as well as all yoga moves. I really recommend it. I should have bought it first.

I use the plyo mat and I think it's great for Yoga. Had it for almost a year and no sign of it breaking down yet.

I've been using the jump mat underneath a yoga mat and found that it's perfect when I'm doing TF yoga. Just enough cushion to dig in instead of slide around. My husband uses just the jump mat and has been happy with that, but I like a bit more cushion.
