No excuses --just hard work & sweat emoticon

Hey everyone! My name Tiffany, nice to meet ya'll, **high five** (I'm a big fan of high fives, whether your are right next to me or in a whole different country, doesn't matter)

Welcome to the FIT Tribe! No matter what program you are doing or when you started, you are welcome here! This thread is all about motivation, support, and encouragement for our fellow tribe members. No put downs or negativity, just hard work & sweat!

If you'd like to be a member of the TRIBE--just post a little about yourself below. What program are you doing? What are your goals? What are your current stats? What do you LOVE about working out? Where are you from? Family? Job? Fun stuff? You get the point.

I'll start! My name is Tiffany (as I said before). I am currently tearing through Insanity the Asylum in preparation for Asylum 2. After that, I'll probably do a bit of a hybrid before Les Mills Combat comes out. Absofruitly excited for Combat!! I love the confidence you feel after a good workout. You are sweating bullets, tired out of your mind, but you know that you put your whole heart and soul into that workout and that the workout you just completed has a giant bruise on it's booty because you kicked it from here to outerspace!

My goals are to lean up and drop my body fat percentage. I've been able to lose about 7lbs and keep them off so far, and looking to lose about 10 more! My favorite programs are Les Mills Pump and Asylum!

WELCOME TO THE TRIBE!

Today's Workout: Just Arms from P90X One on One Series
Grade: B+
Nutrition: A+

I must say, as much as I love Shaun T, it is good to get back into Tony Horton land every once in a while. I love any bicep/tricep work, so Just Arms is right in my ballpark. Nutrition went great today, no slip ups, just good wholesome food emoticon

How was your workout today?

Hi There,

I just joined this site the other day and have sent my assigned Coach a message asking how this all works but haven't heard back and he doesn't seem to be too active on this site so I have removed him as a Buddy. I am looking for a Coach that is on here at least a few times a week as I really need someone to push and motivate me and to call BS on my excuses.

As for my goals, I am looking to loose about 40lbs and to develop healthy eating habits (I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE food and have a hard time saying "no" to it). I am on day 2 of the TurboJam program and am liking it so far, I just hope I can stick with it.

I am not sure how this Coaching thing works here and how to switch coaches but I am hoping you can help me out!

Take care,

Mary

Hey Mary!

If you are interested, I would love to be your coach and have you a part of the Tribe emoticon I'll send you a message with more information.

Great goals, Mary. Turbojam will definitely help you on your way of losing 40lbs and I'll be glad to give you nutritional advice as well -- I am a nutrition loving junkie! emoticon

Keep updating us with Turbojam! How are you liking it so far? How did the first two days go?

Hi Tiffany,

Thanks so much for your prompt response, I've responded to your email.

TurboJam has been fun so far. A bit of a struggle to get started but so far so good. I'm a bit sore after this mornings workout, but hey no pain no gain right?

Take care,
Mary

@ Mary -- Like you say, no pain no gain emoticon I've done a few TurboJam workouts -- a ton of fun, that's for sure.

Today is Asylum Strength. One of my favorite workouts. Such a big challenge, especially the dumb bell drills. Love it though! Can't wait for Asylum 2 to come out! I love me some Shaun T!

Come ya'll -- who else wants to get in the Fit Tribe?!

Also -- went to Trader Joe's this morning and picked up a whole bunch of awesome stuff. Ahi Tuna Steak, shrimp, veggies, and more.

Tried this after I got home for breakfast:

Really really good! (if the photo isn't showing up, it is Smoked Apple Chardonnay Chicken Sausage Links...they made the house smell amazing and tasted just as good as they smelled!)

Nutrition has been great so far today. Extremely tempted by the pumpkin shaped sugar cookies at my parents house, but other than that, staying focused! I am doing the Whole30 right now and trying my best to stay on track!

Nutrition today was not so good for me ... lots of snacking on chocolate, chips and ice cream. Arg! Tomorrow is another day.

No worries Mary, like you say, tomorrow is a new day. I always say, NEW PLATE, CLEAN SLATE. Each meal is an new opportunity to it clean and healthy, and if you slip every once in a while, just try and do better the next time. We all have those days.

WEEKEND TRIBE TIP-find your unhealthy eating "triggers." For example, whenever I am at my parent's house (which is filled with glazed donuts, ice cream, cake, and candies) I noticed I would always snack on everything. Before I knew it, I had eaten a ton of junk without realizing! Other triggers could be sitting at home bored, or when you are stressed. Find the trigger, and then figure out a way to deal with it and turn the unhealthy choices into healthy ones! emoticon For my trigger, I started eating right before I would head over to their house, that way, I wasn't hungry and had little desire to indulge. Or, I eat their fruit as another safe choice!

Just finished day 3 of TurboJam which was the 20 minute workout. Again, some of the steps will come to me after a few more workouts. It was fun and not too long which was nice. Time to make my breakfast shake using frozen strawberry/bananas, orange juice and protein powder. Hope everyone has a great day!

Heyy! I am new to Beachbody and am looking for a ''circle'' of people to get involved with. I have tried contacting my assigned coach, but I haven't heard back from her yet so I assume she must not be active on the site anymore. Anywho..

My name is Hannah Leigh. I am 19 years old and am currently enrolled in college, studying biology with a specification of medicine. I work as an Emergency Room Technician at a local hospital and LOVE my job. But something I noticed when I first took the job was that I needed to gain strength. There is a lot of my job that demands physical strength, and while I have some, I'm not confident with where I'm at. Also (not to lie) I want a better looking body. (: Hahaa.

Monday I am starting Insanity. Any tips? I will need all the motivation I can get. :/ I'm looking forward to keeping up with my progress as well as everyone else's on here together!

Good luck to you all. (:

Also- I do not actually have an active ''coach''... What should I do about that? I'm not sure how to go about it all. Thanks!

Hi Hannah,

Welcome! I'm new to Beachbody as well and completed day 3 of the TurboJam program today. I too had issues with my assigned 'coach' and made a switch. I am sure someone will see your post here and will want to be your coach! Or, I think you can search the members for a coach you like and contact them I guess? Tiffany might be able to give you some direction on this emoticon

Take care and have fun with Insanity!

Mary

Welcome to the tribe Hannah emoticon

Very cool that you are an Emergency Room Tech! Sounds like an insane job -- I bet it keeps you alert at all times.

I LOVE Insanity. It is a great program and will definitely help you with strength and endurance. Just take it one day at a time and before you know it, you will hit the 60 days and be a whole different person. My tip is modify when you need too and take breaks when you need too -- don't worry about keeping up with Shaun's team, go at your own pace!

As for the coach issue -- if your coach doesn't contact you back, I am a coach as well and would love to work with you. I sent you a buddy invite so feel free to send me a message of what you think emoticon

Let us know how Insanity goes!

20 minutes and fun is always good emoticon I have the TurboFire HIITS, which is also about 20 minutes long and is a great time. Makes you sweat like crazy but is short enough for me to throw in on days I don't have a ton of time.

Sounds like a yummy breakfast shake. I'm off to repeat yetesterday's breakfast -- chicken sausage, eggs with guac, and veggies!

Stay focused today everyone! I know it is Friday and can be easy to get off track, but remember your goals!

Bad bad bad bad food day again, everyone ordered in for lunch and had Swiss Chalet mmmmm chicken/ribs/fries. Then there were pastries at work, oh no! I must learn to say "NO!"...help!

I totally hear you Mary. At work we normally have cupcakes or candies sitting around, especially now that Halloween is coming up. And during times of stress or just plain boredom on break, it is definitely hard to turn that down.

Just think of your goals!! Remember that food is just a momentary pleasure, but reaching your goals is going to be much more than that. It's okay to treat yourself every once in awhile, but today is a new day emoticon Make it clean my friend! Think of your food a fuel for your day and your workouts emoticon Fries = not so great fuel! You can do it!!!

About to head off to work for a CRAZY day. We are having a "flash sale" and they are warning us that it is going to look like Black Friday. So, I'm powering off my day with eggs and guacamole, chicken sausage, and some veggies. I've got my Tropical Shakeology packed for lunch and some nuts and dried blueberries as a snack. Then coming home to rip into the Asylum.

Have a happy Saturday Tribe emoticon Remember, we are in this together. There are going to be struggles but also a ton of victories!

Thanks Tiffany!

Today was a pretty successful day. Complete day 4 of TurboJam and attend a bridal shower which included lots of fruit and veggies. Food was on track today calorie wise.

I have 3 days of rest starting tomorrow, is it an issue to still do the 20-min workout these days rather than resting?

Hopefully the rest of the weekend is successful as its Thanksgiving weekend (in Canada) which means food is everywhere! Ahhhhhh!

Good job Mary!! You would be totally fine doing the 20 minute workout on a couple of those days. I would give your body at least 1 day of rest or very light activity, but you could definitely still press play on the other days. Good luck with Thanksgiving weekend!

Another round of Asylum almost done. Just a couple more days and then I'll be doing a hybrid of a bunch of programs (Les Mills Pump, P90X and X2, Insanity, and so on) until Asylum 2 comes out. Yesterday was also date night for me and the boyfriend -- he treated me to a healthy dinner (grilled chicken with pineapple) but I did cave and have a mini Pumpkin Pie blizzard, one of my favorite fall treats.

Long night at work and busy day tomorrow. Going to have to wake up early to press play

Happy Monday everyone! Hope it was a good day for ya'll.

Today was not the best eating day for me. I didn't prepare myself as well as I normally do, which led to some poor eating choices. No worry though, I'll be going strong tomorrow.

So psyched that Asylum 2 is available on Thursday!! I'm all over that emoticon

@Mary -- how was your Thanksgiving weekend?
