Hi to all the Beachbody lovers!

I will start at Insanity program at the 30.09,2012.

Many of you have just started Insaniyt, I think and I want to know how hard and challenging this program really is during 60 days,

This diary contains my thoughts and feelings about each day during these 60 days.

In addition, my diary will be after and after full of motivational quotes, pictures and motivational videos, because it was exactly at the relevant times, what I needed.

But first - why do I Insanity.

Well, thats very easy and simple.

I want to be a part of the beachbody community

&

I will do this program to get into the best shape of my life.

At the moment I'm not really fit. So I will change this fact NOW.

The other problem is that I did not like a diet, so I eat what I want and when I want.

So we will see here the results and I will check whether I can change my fitness level and my body during the next 60 days without an diet or changing my meal plan.

You can follow my process on my blog:

my homepage

I hope you enjoy it.

Day 9/60

Hi today I have to absolve the program - pure cardio.

Now it's time to descripe a little bit more the programs.

Pure cardio delivers what it says - "pure cardio" without a break between the exercices in the main part of the workout. This is now for me in this program. In the other programs like plyometric cardio circuit, cardio power & resistance an cardio recovery - there are always little 30 second breaks between the exercices. But I enjoy this.

The warm up and the stretch is like the other 2 programs in the first month. For me, the warm up is very very easier than the warm up at cardio power & resistance.Maybe because i had absolved it more often.

The main part of the workout consists mostly of exercices I know from the othe workout programs other than following :

-stance jacks

It's just like jumping jacks, but your hands touch the ground. You do the jumping jacks only with your lower body and your hands down all the time.

-The pedal

You do a full sprint combined with a lunge with each leg in between sprints.

-Hooks and jump rope

First you do 8 hooks with one arm following 4 jump. Then change to the opposite arm.

-Level 2 drills

Like level 1 drills, but now you do 8 reps

Analysis

This program rocks.

In the first month i think its until now the hardest workout and the winner program.

First place - Pure cardio
Second place - Plyometric cardio circuit
Third place - Cardio power and resistance

Day 10/60

Hi today I have to absolve the program - Plyometric cardio circuit.

Now it’s time to descripe a little bit more this workout routine.

This routine is not like pure cardio. Here we have to absolve 2 rounds - in each round are four exercices which have to be done three time withs a 30 seconds rest in between.

In round 1 are the following exercices:

Suicide drills, power squats, mountain climbers and ski down.

In round 2 are the following exercices:

Basketball jumps, level 1 drills, ski abs and in & outs

In my opinion, this Plyometric Cardio Circuit workout is probably the hardest of all the main Insanity workouts in the first mounth. The round 2 is burning like hell.

When this workout ended, my chest and arms are burning so I can’t really lift it up for the stretch session.

I hope next time I will feel better after this routine.

Furthermore I start today with jump rope training.

A video of this first training you will see at:

my homepage

After and after will me intensify this workout and it will get longer and harder.

Day 11/60

Hi today I have to absolve the program - Cardio Recovery

For me its the most boring training routine month 1. Its not reality hard - I know that the name of the routine is recovery. The only "hard" part is the squat session. But before and after this session there is enough time to rest and recover. So for me is this routine at the moment no problem.
Furthermore it is the shortest routine in the program which is a clear advantage.

Additional I had absolved another jump rope training day.
I trained now 90 seconds. I repeated the first second of part I and after that I added a new 60 second routine.

After watching part II I noticed that my upper arms are two far away from my buddy. Thats not nice and make the workout for the upper body harder. The next time I will try to change this.

Day 12/60

Hi today I have to absolve the program - Cardio Power & Resistance.

It's the third time now I absolved this workout routine. I'm still not fit enough to finish this routine without a rest in the main workout part. I have to take a little rest in the dip session.
Furthermore I have to take a little about 5 second rest between the moving push-ups and the floor sprints.
I hope I will be fitter next time when I have to do this routine.

I added a new jump rope training video on my homepage. Today I absolved here a 90 second workout. I did 3 exercices, each exercise is 30 seconds long. The training day tomorrow will be 2 min.long with a new exercice.

I hope you enjoy it.

Day 13/60

Hi today I have to absolve two programs - Pure cardio & Cardio abs

This was the first day in the Insanity program when I had to absolved two workout routines at one day.

But first to my statement to the first routine - pure cardio.

Today like in the workout cardio power & resistance I had to take a little break in the main workout part. Here I had a short break in the 1 minute power jacks routine. I survived the other exercices without any need of a break. That was a good progression for me.
After the stretching and finishing pure cardio I changed without any break to the next workout routine for this day - cardio abs.

This was the first day in this program I had to do this routine. It was really hard for me in the warm-up session. I was happy when Shaun T changed to the main ab session. Unfortunately I had to take some breaks here, too. But these breaks were very short and I hope I will do it better next time.

I’m happy that I have a rest day tomorrow and then I survive the second week of this program.

Furthermore I added a new jump rope training to my program. Here I trained 2 minutes now.

I hope you enjoy it. After watching this video I noticed that I always jump a little bit too high. This cost to much power. I have to change this in the next training I think. We will see.

First I ate a pan of Nasigoreng with rice, chicken and vegetables (picture 3).
This was the rest I had to eat from yesterday:

- caloric value of 117 kcal

Here I have a 500 g meal.

The second meal I had was spaghetti with tomato mozarella sauce (picture 2).

This meal has only 372 g and about 500 kcal. Great meal.

The last meal of the day was like the past days a portion vanilla ice like (picture 1)

Day 14/60

Hi today I had reached day 14 from my 60 day Insanity journey.
It's rest day, so I did not do anything for my fitness today.

The last two weeks I do at the minimun one of each workout routine in the first month training routine. My favourite routine is still the plyometric cardio circuit followed by cardio power and resistance and last but not least pure cardio.
The rest day was good for my body, I think. So I can start tomorrow with my third week and a not so hard workout on the first day - the fittest. I' so interested to see how is my actual fitness level after the two weeks of Insanity. We will see.

Day 14/60 - outtake

Hi! This is my next outtake in my diary.
Today I was on the road to Berlin. So I did not eat today really healthy.

First I ate a sandwich with chicken breast and tomatos(picture 3). After that I had to lunch a asia pasta box (picture 1).
At the evening I ate that at a fast food diner some pommes (picture 2).

This really unhealth meal plan was no problem for me because I wrote in a couple post ago that I not want to life a health way during this journey. After the 60 days we will see whether my body change in a good or bad way. I let me surprise.

Day 15/60

Hi!
Today I finished the first workout routine in the third Insanity week- the fittest.

It was the second time I did this.

I saw better results as the last time I did this one.
Here are my performances:

1 - Switch Kicks= +10 = +10.4%
2 - Power Jacks = +5 = + 122%
3 - Power Knees = +9 = +10,1%
4 - Power Jumps = +4 = +7,2%
5 - Globe jumps = +6 = ++20,7%
6 - Suicide jumps =+2 =+12,5%
7 - Push-up jacks =+4 =+16,7%
8 - Low plank oblique =+4 =+8,8%

I think for two weeks of Insanity & jump rope training these are good results.

Furthermore I absolved another jump rope training day. Today I did a 2:30 min workout.

Day 16/60

Hi today I absolved day 16 from my Insanity trainings workout routine.
It was time today for the plyometric cardio circuit. My favourite in the first month.

I'm happy to say that I did not have to use a break with my knees and hands at the same time on the floor.
I only have to take a little rest in round two at the abs session. But not only the floor. I have to rest some seconds during the ski abs and the in & outs in the plank position. This position is still a good upper body and ab workout so I can live with that. It's better as to take a full rest with no body tightness, I think. I have to do this routine only two times more in this program.I hope I can fly only time trough the second round like Shaun T.

Day 17/60

Hi today I have to absolve the second time two programs on one day - Pure cardio & Cardio abs

Today I did quite another matter.I trained outside in my garden and not like the other days before in my living room. I think it was a little bit harder today. Maybe that was because I had more close on. Not a short track suit bottom, a T-shirt and jumping on bare feet. Based on the coldness outside I had to wear training shoes, a long track suit bottom, a t-shirt, a trainings jacket and gloves.
I only absolved pure cardio outside. For the second routine - cardio abs - I changed my workout place to my living room. The grass outside was to cold to do this routine when you have to side during this session on a cold underground. That's in my mind not healthy for my body. During the pure cardio routine I did not have to do a rest. That's good. Unfortunately I only have to do really short breaks in the cardio abs session.

Day 18/60

Hi!
Yeaaaaaaaah. Today no cardio, jumping or punishing moves. It was cardio recovery time today.
Recovery is a advantage - the boring exercices are a very very big disadvantage.
But no lamentation. Tomorrow will be the next cardio day. I hope I can do after the recovery day all exercices and rounds in cardio power & resistance without a short mini break. We'll see.
