Hi everyone,

If you started P90X/Insanity hybrid in October 2012. Please join this thread. We can share experiences and check in everyday to see how people do.

I finished Insanity last week, and I love it. I did P90X about two years ago; however, I did not finish it. Hopefully, this thread will keep everyone motivated.

Finished Chest and Back workout.

Cannot feel my arms!!!!!!

Day 2: INSANITY® / Plyometric Cardio Circuit

It is Day 2, cardio circuit is not too bad. The problem is that I ate too much for dinner today. Stomach does not feel well. It is good to remind myself "don't eat too much."

Hopefully, this thread will not become my diary. Please join this thread now. It is easier to keep motivation with people sharing experiences.

Tip a day: don't eat too much!!!

I love this workout. I can feel my shoulders re growing. haha~~~~~
No one does hybrid?? or too many threads about doing hybrid????

stood more than 6 hours straight because of work today Back hurts a little bit.
Hopefully, the pain will be gone tomorrow.

I just started yesterday! It is very helpful to know someone else is doing the hybrid too emoticon I did Chest and Back and AbX, but I have to admit I'm a little worried. The chest and back seemed like it was for building (Tony kept saying.. "If you want to get big..") and i felt my thighs in the ab workout more than my abs bc it was so static in those moves. Did you feel this too?

Day 4 Yoga

Finally~~~~YA~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hi Peridot, nice to have a workout buddy to share experiences.

Yes, you are absolutely right!!! My thighs and legs feel sore before abs. My thighs feel sore, and then my back feel sore. Finally, my abs can feel a little bit. I think it means my thighs and back have to stranger before I can train my abs.

I sweat more when I do Yoga. One and half hours are too long!!!!

By the way, if you want to get fit and don't want to get too big, simply pick lighter weights. that's what I am doing. For the body type, I prefer Shaun T's over Tony's. However, I do want to build my upper body a little bit. That's why I go with hybrid.

Day 6 Jogging~~~~~

The weather was so nice in the Sat. Morning. I went jogging for 1.5 hours instead of Insanity cardio power and resistance.

Hi guys,

Hello from Australia. I did P90X last year and I did about 3 weeks of Insanity in September. I must say, Insanity is great for fat burn and toning overall. But I do prefer P90X for muscle building and definition. The results were amazing! I lost over 13kgs from P90X and gained a lot of muscle.

I am starting P90X Hybrid today; I have my worksheets printed off and cannot wait to get home and kick it off. During last week I haven't been very active and I will need a lot of motivation to get through this week!

Question, what were your results in regards to using dumbels vs bands? I finished P90X with bands the whole way through, and I really enjoyed using them. What were your results with using traditional dumbels?

Hopefully, the thread will keep our motivation.
What's your workout today? Did you stay until the last minute?
Sometimes, I have hard time to stay to the end especially for the workout which is over an hour.

I used Bands before, it was ok in the beginning, but it was broken in a month. Maybe, I just need to buy a better band. However, I do like dumbbells because I know the exact weight I am lifting.

I did not have a gym in my apartment complex; therefore, I used bands. Now, I am using dumbbells because I have a gym in my apartment complex. I move a lot so I don't buy weights. They are too heavy for moving.

Thanks Ken.

I missed yesterday as I had to go to an engagement and wasn't feeling up to it afterwards.

Today I am jumping into Day2 - plyo cardio circuit. Bring on the sweat!

In regards to the bands, I purchased a set from amazon and 3 of the bands busted within a month. Pretty poor durability in my opinion.

I then purchased a 2nd set, but this time I purchased different bands. These have a clip on both ends so you can easily attach additional bands for more resistance. I am now up to 3 bands for the shoulders and triceps, and 4 bands for biceps. It's been a few months now that I've had them and none have broken yet!

In regards to finishing strong, I find it quite a challenge with insanity. I often find the last 10 seconds of each routine becomes really tough once I get to the 40minute mark (approximately), even when I am not pushing too hard. I usually do my workout straight after work and before dinner so I am already pretty hungry when I start the workout. Maybe I don't have enough fuel to complete the whole workout?

Hi all,

Well, I survived the plyo cardio circuit. It sure is a killer, especially in the last 15-18 minutes!

Tonight I am doing Shoulders & Arms and AB ripper, should be fun.

How is everyone else progressing?

Day 8 Chest and Back + Abs

I never finish the abs workout when I do two exercises back to back. I feel my back is not strong enough to support the abs workout after Chest and Back workout. Hopefully, I can finish two workouts back to back at the end of this month.

Hey Hellyt, would you mind post the picture of the bands you use. Maybe, I will buy one when I move to another apartment which does not have a gym. thanks.

Day 9: Plyometric Cardio Circuit

I feel great today so that I did Max Interval Circuit instead of Plyometric Cardio Circuit. It is so interesting. Sometimes, I hates the feeling that I want to do one more push-up but my muscle just cannot give me one more. However, sometimes, I enjoy that feeling. Today is the day I enjoyed the feeling. It hurts so bad, but I feel so good after I finished it. Have you guys had this feeling before? If you are doing hybrid, please join us~~~ regardless the when you started!

Hi Ken,

So yesterday afternoon I did the Insanity Indurance one instead of P90X Yoga. Big mistake! That work out was seriously hard and only one break for stretching for 45 minutes.

Today is Legs & Back and AbRipper on the cards. Really not feeling up to it as my legs are pretty worn out from yesterday, but thats what you get when you don't stick to the schedule and replace yoga for madness!

Oops~~. In order to have a good run tomorrow, I decided not to exercise today.
