Zarno's Tips for Success! There are a few tricks of the trade that can really help get you on your way to success, and help you avoid injury and frustration. Here are a few!
~ If you want to succeed on this journey, it is imperative to develop and maintain a
good diet. It will ensure that you have the appropriate nutrition to fuel your body so you feel good and can maximize your efforts during your workouts. Take the time to develop a good nutrition game plan that is suited to your daily life and caloric needs.
~ A good fitness tool to track your daily meals is
www.myfitnesspal.com. It acts like a mini-facebook and allows you to track your meals/calories/exercise so you plan healthy meals that will keep you feeling satisfied and help you reach your goals.
~ If you are looking for good healthy meal ideas, check out
Clean Eating Recharged by Tosca Reno and any of her cookbooks. She is a well known clean eating guru, and her cookbooks are jam-packed full of healthy recipes that will satisfy your taste buds.
~ If is also important to incorporate a
good protein supplement/shake into your diet, as your muscles will need a good quality protein source to recover from these tough workouts.
Shakeology is a wonderful way to incorporate a good quality protein supplement /meal replacement into your daily regime as well as give your body all of the added nutritional benefits as well.
~ Take a few minutes and sit down to plan your
long term and short term goals. What exactly do you want to achieve in the next 90 days? Do you want to lose weight? Fit into that little black dress? Run a 5k without huffing and wheezing? Write these goals down and place them somewhere where you can see them each day. Make a commitment to yourself to put the work in to get the job done. Find a picture that illustrates what success looks like, and focus on that when you are working out.
~
Take before and after pictures, take your measurements and take the fit test. Sure the scale may move, but the BEST way to measure your progress is to watch your body as it changes into a leaner, stronger, and more toned version of yourself. If you put the work in, your body will change—and seeing the before and after transformation can be really quite amazing.

~ Okay, these workouts are tough!!! Be sure to make sure your body is fueled up,
hydrated and ready to go before you press PLAY. Make sure that you are drinking between 8 to 10 glasses of water each day-as being hydrated can mean the difference between feeling good during a workout or feeling downright sluggish.
~ As far as eating before workouts goes, everyone is different. Some people prefer to do their workouts immediately after they eat, but some need to wait a good hour before they workout. If you work out early in the morning, you may want to have a little bite to eat beforehand, but this is a personal decision and will depend on your own body and blood sugar levels.
~ It is very important to make sure that you give your body a good source of
protein and a recovery drink immediately after you’re done your workout to ensure that your muscles can fully recover the stress. This will really help with the soreness that can follow a tough workout. As well, your body will burn off the glycogen stores in your muscles during your workout, so taking in a good recovery drink after you are finished will replenish your glycogen levels, as well as help stabilize your blood sugars to ensure that you feel good, and revitalized for the rest of the day.
The Beachbody Recovery drink and Shakeology are two excellent ways to give your tired muscles and body the fuel and nutrition it needs to recover from the workout and prepare for the next day.
~
