Hi all! I am starting LMP today!! I tried a few months back and gave up. Now I working with a nutricianist and needing to add in cardio and weights to lose 100lbs.

My weight is causing health problems and mental issues with my body. I am done living this life style - is time to start fresh!

The past year has been one of the best years in my life. I met the love of my life (that bliss did add to some pounds) and I became and Aunt. Dreams came true in the past 12 months. I want to be around a long time and enjoy this life!

Please be my support and I will be yours through this round of LMP!!

I HAVE TO MAKE IT THROUGH A SCHEDULE!!

Hi there,

I'm hoping I can join you on this journey. Our stories sound similar, though I have been blissfully happily married now for almost 3 years....and in those 3 years 70 pounds have crept on. I am happy in love and work....but in health and body, not so much. I owe it to myself, my husband and my students to be the best me I can be. I was a P90X grad, and now there is no way I could make it through 1 workout with all of this weight on my boday.

I ordered Les Mills last week, as I thought it would be something I could follow.... 3 workouts a week...and then my own cardio the other 3 days. I think I can handle that....no....I have GOT to handle that.

I got my package today, have been reading up, watched "basics" and will start day 1 tomorrow. No weighing in, no measurements, I would like to go by pant/shirt sizes. Currently I am wearing and 18+ pants and an XL shirt.....Month 1 I'd like to get to a pant regular 18, Month 2 a 16 and shirt L, and Month 3 pant loose 16 and loose L top. I have always been bottom heavy and even doing P90X my lowest pant size was a 15...so I want to be reasonable for this first round.

My cardio to start, since I haven't workout out in so long, will be walks and walk away the pounds for month 1...and we'll see what I am up to in month 2.

Nice to have someone starting the same program, the same time.

I actually fought myself on doing the workout today. I worked late. When I got home my boyfriend was doing some car stuff and I thought I would have to go places with him. The playoff baseball game started. After talking with my bf, I was staying home but then his mom was here. So I started my workout around 8:30 PM instead of 5 PM.

I am sweating my butt off. I used 5lb weights for every exercise. 24 min total and in the books. It felt good. Tomorrow is a rest day but I will go for a walk.

I am on a restricted calorie diet, I am weighing myself daily. I have to work my lungs because I've been having a problem breathing. I've been dealing with doctors so much. I've has 2 back surgeries.... I'm just a mess. emoticon.

I'm glad you got your workout in, it'd be a rough start if you talked yourself out of it on the first day! Watch your back, especially on those dead lifts.

I woke up at 6am and did my pump challenge! 5 pounds for every exercise too. I know I could do more for squats but I don't want my legs to get any bigger (and I know its a myth that they will bulk up....but from past experience Im best to go light on the legs). Chest I could do more, tri's I could less, and the clean and press more...but I'm just warming up. I found the workout rather easy, though the lunges were challenging.

So far, so good. enjoy your day!

I'm about 2/3 of the way through LMP, and I have really enjoyed the journey. The cast is awesome and the schedule is planned in such a way that you work your way up, so I think you guys will do great! Just keep checking in here. If you have the deluxe version, don't be afraid to throw a bonus DVD in on a walk day, or if you just feel you want more. I'm about to do one of these myself. Love Combat and have already pre-ordered the new LM Combat.

If you're still working on form, it's ok to just start with the bar. Just keep pressing Play! emoticon

Glad we have some more support here!

Day 1 and 2 in the books. It is a bummer that day 2 was a rest day, but my booty and arms knew I did something on day 1.

After a 4 day hold - my weight moved down this morning. That always helps keep you motivated.


I have lots of motivation in my head but I can't let everything else bring me down.
My boyfriend keeps telling me he has a 'plan' for us. Not sure what that means but the assumption is an engagement is in my near future -- that should make anyone want to lose weight!! So marriage and then kids ... again need to be healthy for having children.

I have my motivation but it is still hard. I am trying and I have been doing well.

I am ready for day 3 - Pump Challenge!!
I will workout after the Cardinals Game!!

And this weight Loss we have going for ourself.

I find it hard keeping on track with the diet.
I eat healthy just not what is on the menus on pump. I can't eat seafood I'm
Allergic to few things . But other than that it dosent leave me with much. Im starting to use tofu ..
Wish this program would have a better system with diet who's gluten , allergic to nuts , seafood
Different diet programs to try to work with a busy family exp: turbo fire has family portion meals ,
Someone eating on a budgeting learning to freeze meals ( body beast), eating the samething the next day .

Thank God, because i couldn't sleep last night and couldn't imagine working out after the day I have had!

I just competed day 3. Oh my goodness. My muscles are so sore. I didn't complete all the lunges but I will!!! Phew!!

Food has been my enemy for years & still is. Just had a food allergy test & I can't have some things anymore.

I am measuring food out. Having fruits and vegies. Working out. Also doing a program with a nutritionist.

I will struggle but must be back on track 1 second later!

Way to go! And I hear you about being sore. My triceps are sore!

I just completed Day 3, and I got through all the lunges today, but didn't use weight, I did tri-pod method.

So far so good!

Eating is my struggle too, always has been. Although this week is not perfect eating, its better than last week, and I'll aim to have next week better than this one, and so on. I can't change my whole life in 1 week. This time I am aiming for slower , long term changes.

LOL! Yeah, you must be doing the squats and lunges correctly, then! You're all getting the right kinds of pains...it means positive change! But of course listen to your bodies. I did Pump Revolution this morning, and a little sneak peek at Asylum 2 (agility tutorial). Yikes! Shaun T makes it look too easy!

Hi!

I just got Body Pump the other day. I did my first workout on Tuesday (day it arrived) with 10 lbs on the bar. Yesterday, I wanted a workout but didn't have time to go to the gym so did it with 20 lbs on the bar.

I like it so far and I also go to a gym so I'm using it to mix in my other workouts. Today, I'll just go to the gym for cardio and tomorrow I do a heavy weights day at the gym. I'm thinking my next body pump workout will be on Saturday.

I also have 100 lbs or so to lose. Although workouts are important, it is food that I am working on emoticon

Hi Everyone!
I just received LMP this week and can't wait to start! The safety clips on the barbell were broken, so I'm waiting for some news ones to come in the mail.
I did the Challenge today with just the barbell and loved it. I'll be starting a LMP/Insanity hybrid program on Monday.
I've completed Insanity before, but this is really my first experience with any type of weight training, so I'm glad we can all support each other! I look forward to hearing what you all think of the program as you will be a week ahead of me.

Is anyone using the Results & Recovery drink?

Hey dlibby1978...I am finishing my last month of Pump/Turbofire hybrid. I started drinking recovery formula after my workouts as I went into my second month...GAME CHANGER...for me at least. Actually, I started the energy and endurance and the recovery at the same time. E and E before and R and R after...of course. Definitely 2 products I highly recommend.

Hi 2BMeAgain,

I completely understand the daily struggle of eating right and/or working out... I have to fit mine every morning or it doesn't happen, but this means waking up as early as 3am sometimes. It takes a toll after a while so I get all the support I can get! What helps me a great deal is a FB group that I belong to. If you want information on it, let me know. That's all we do, motivate each other on a daily basis! STarting a program is sometimes a hard step, but not as difficult as staying on track so support is very very important.

I hopw I can help in any way! If nothing else, we can be buddies here and keep each other on track!

Remember to take before Photos and after .

I'm awaiting for my recovery and shakology drink as I just sign up as a coach.
But I do take protien and recovery from other sources .

What is your favorite shokology flavor ?
I got the Greenberry on its way so I'm excited how it taste .

I started doing body pump at a gym and sometimes it was allot of effort
For me as a single mommy . I had to put my Child in child care class while I work out pay the little extra
So I can attend to a class . I never had a steady ways going to the gym because work and school also got in my ways.
My boyfriend bought me my first bodypump program for my birthday and I absalotly love it. I can't imagine not having these
Work outs part of my life. No more excauses for me and this is my second round. WithIn 6 weeks I notice I lost 12lbs and few inches .

Well I won't lie -- I didn't feel like doing Flow yesterday. I wasn't in the mood for yoga. I wanted to watch the Cardinals win and got home about 15 min before the game started and needed to eat. I may just do it tonight along with Pump Challenge - actually that is EXACTLY what I will do.

I've been doing really good on food. Even with lady time the scale showed me as down this morning.

Last night I watched my boyfriend have chicken with a sour cream/cream of mushroom soup sauce with pasta last night and I didn't just steal it from him. I warmed it up for him, put it on a plate then licked the fork! Got the taste and not all the calories.
Then a little bit later he ate a whole bag of popcorn. Yes, I watched him eat that too. Then later he sat by me and was chewing. He just ate an oreo.
So you see what I have right in my face??
Did I mention at work I sit next to the kitchen. Door is always open so I smell every bit of food that people heat up. Again -- more right in front of my face. Lots of temptation.
Oh Food -- you are such the devil!!

I am actually getting off work in a little bit and my plan is to go home, do flow and pump challenge -- then I am cleaning the carpets. That is a calorie burner!

It will then be time for the Cardinals game!! Super excited. Lets hope I stay awake!

Mommyoctopus - smart move. You save quite a bit on the Home Direct stuff by being a coach. It has certainly enabled my addiction to BB stuff. emoticon

I like the chocolate Shakeology, but they changed the formula a bit and the flavor changed...not for the better in my opinion. But I think they're working on that. My favorite combo is a scoop with peanut butter, banana and skim milk (sometimes sneak in a bit of instant coffee). I used to get Tropical Strawberry as well because my wife was doing it, too, and we liked it, but it got too expensive for us. It's also good with PB, banana and skim.

Patti - you might want to gently remind your boyfriend that you're trying to make a significant lifestyle change, a hard one, and he can play a supportive part by just being mindful of what he does in front of you. Believe me, when the ice cream or chips come out at home, I often have to remove myself from the situation. It ain't easy! Maybe invite him to try LMP if you haven't already done so. I've been subtly trying to get my family into their choice of program. Not successfully, but I haven't given up!

A thought about Flow...if you have a laptop, maybe pop it in on mute while watching TV. Or just do the poses/stretches you remember from the DVD. After a few times, it's not too hard...vinasas with Corey and floor stretches with Jackie (can you believe that's Les' Mom? She looks great!).
