Day 63, Now What?
Day 63, Now What?
10/19/12 6:31 AM
Ok, so I'm about to do my last Fit Test - that's Insane! I'm down 21 lbs, and 5 inches around my stomach, I'm swimming in my clothes, my friends are amazed, and I've never felt better in my life. That leaves me with one question, namely; now what? Literally, I don't know what to do? The only thing I can think of is to start it over. Any suggestions? Oh, and I guess that's more than one question, but when should I buy new clothes?

congrats on finishing up insanity! there are several steps you can make. Repeating the program is always and option but why not continue the journey and dive in the "The Asylum", and then "The Asylum 2". I just finished up my first 4 weeks of insanity and have already started getting the things I'll need for Asylum. After that I plan on picking up P90X and doing some hybrids of the various programs.

Most important thing is to keep the momentum that you have and continue with the programs to maintain what you have worked so hard to achieve.

About the clothes? lol, that's up to you emoticonemoticon

Awesome results! Congrats! It's up to you what to do now but I agree, don't lose momentumemoticon I did a 2nd round of Insanity a month after finishing my first round. I've heard that if you plan to follow up with a 2nd round or move on to Asylum (great suggestion!) that you plan a week of recovery with the CC&B dvd. I'm currently in my 3rd round of Insanity, with just a little over 2 weeks left. I'm looking into Les Mills Combat, just to mix it up a little.

Don't forget to get the t-shirt, you earned it!

Good luck and have fun shopping!

Great job! I am three weeks away and I think my plan is to do a week of recovery week, and then hit month 1 again. I don't know if I'll do month two again right away just because the 40 minute timeframe for month one works out really well. I might do two rounds of month one and then month 2 in January when the holidays are over...
Whatever you do, just keep it up! you have the momentum now!

Hey Ronhj,

Great job!! That's awesome! Isn't it great to make these kinds of changes--and it impacts your whole life in such a positive way! I agree with the others--don't lose momentum now.

You could repeat your program, but it's always a good idea to keep the excitement in your workouts--so yes, I'd suggest either doing a hybrid of Insanity and P90x, or invest in Asylum. The hybrids are very popular as they give people a really nice combination of strength training mixed in with some very effective cardio.

Whatever you do, congratulations on your accomplishments! You should be very proud! emoticon

After my first round I took a week off and jumped back in again. I'm an addict for sure!!

As for the new clothes...LOL I hav dropped 4 jeans sizes...I swear the people at American Eagle know my by name. I have literally gone in there every 3 weeks. To save some money, I would suggest buying a belt!!

Everyone, thanks for the wonderful suggestions. For whatever reason I stopped logging in and tracking my workouts here and I kind of forgot about this thread. I'm happy to report though that I simply kept pressing play. In fact, I'm on the last week of month two again and thus almost done with round #2.

My results haven't been as dramatic this time but still what I consider solid. I'm down another ~5 lbs and another ~2" for a total of 26 lbs and 7". Some of my friends are saying that I now need to gain some weight btw emoticon. As for clothes, I had all my suits cut down by an amazing tailor and I've invested in some new jeans and shirts. Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions! I do wish that I had come back here because I simply started day one again instead of doing a recovery week.

My plan this time is to do CC&B + CA every day for a week before starting Month 1 Week 1 again... I'm not bored yet. I'll then push play for an entire round #3 which, although hard to believe, if I finish will be 6 months of my new healthy lifestyle.

I can't believe I haven't had a single candy bar nor any ice cream and now I don't even crave it. I love healthy granola bars and nuts now though emoticon.

Oh well, time to go press play!
