Taping the RevAbs box to your stomach is not the way to a six pack….
revabs group motivation friends for motivation finding motivation daily motivation

Honestly, how many people purchased the RevAbs from groupon or team beachbody while it was on discount?

And honestly – how many of us are going to do it?

I’m one of those people who just couldn’t pass up the deal. So, even though the REVABS DVD set looks awesome sitting next to my TV set, it’s not going to help me get in better shape like this (unless I tape the picture of the six pack on myself) ... so, I’ll be using this thread as my personal accountability. I will post daily. What work out I did, what workout I didn’t do, what excuse I came up with, how I hurt myself, what good and poor food choices I made etc. All of this in hopes my ego and pride will keep me from backing out.

Through my journey, I encourage you to join in. Cheer me on or join up with me. I hope my awkwardness will motivate others to take up arms against their uncertainties and take that first step.

Coach RX - I think this is a great idea. I do know many people went for the special and should be a good time to band together and work Brett's magic. Good luck, I'll be checking back to see your reviews of the discs. Plan your work and work the plan and all should end well.

I like that!! I have the revabs too. I am working my way through a CLX/insanity hybrid with Hip Hop ABs as my 2nd workout on some days. So maybe after our little trip 1st week of Nov. I will open that RevAbs box and have a look. I will see how you are doing??

p90x and RevAbs mix sounds awesome. Unfortunately my sister has held my p90x hostage about 700+ miles away… emoticon

best of luck! would love to hear how you're mixing it up and how it's working out for you. Maybe I can steal some ideas from you emoticon emoticon ... for whenever I get my DVDs back :grumble:

To give you a little idea of who / what I am.

I am not a well put together person. I grew up very clumsy and have little to no shame of making a fool of myself (be it intentional or not)

I have lost the same 10 lb twice in the past year. First from exercise, second from diet alone. By gosh, imagine what would happen if I combined the two!?

I completed p90x and doing something I very well know I shouldn’t have, I didn’t keep up. Winter time blues hit and I went down the road more frequently traveled… poor food choices and decreased activity.

I decided to challenge myself with insanity… didn’t last very long with that. I’d give it a try again but not just yet. I’m one of those people who can’t chew gum and walk at the same time – so I got more than a little lost with the moves.

I work in the health care field, so it’s kind of important to me to stay in shape because I very well can’t tell my patients to “eat health and exercise” when I’m clearly not taking care of myself.

My 2 motivations to working out is avoid developing diabetes (I have a few risk factors which I have no control over) and looking good for my school reunion

CoachRX,
I, Like Nate am doing P90X/RevAbs as a hybryd. Although it looks a little different, I found it in the WOWY Gym. There is an AbRipper after every P90x workout in the first couple weeks and E/O/day RevAbs. but then after that it goes to 2 a day with RevAbs. I'm at 36 days into it and at first I thought it was a little slow, but with the 2 a days on just abs plus the weights E/O/day it's starting to get intense!! Good luck and keep us posted please. All the best, Mark

Mark,

That sounds intense! but it's awesome you are already up to day 36! less than 60 left emoticon

Thanks for the support. emoticon I'll be on here will my updates, hope you stop by and keep us updated about your progress too!

Once I'm ready to do a hybrid I will poke around WOWY to see how I can mix things up. Variety is the spice of life, right? emoticon

I love the title of this thread, I keep picturing someone with a box and a picture of Brett's Abs taped over their stomach. Nate, I don't know enough about RevAbs to comment on your Recovery Week. The rest of the hybrid looks OK. In Weeks 5-7, on Day 2 you have Power 90X Power Intervals, where is that from?

nate-question in wk 5-7 day 2 you have P90X Power Intervals 2, is that really a Revab? i don't have power interval 2 from P90x. just curious. looks like good mix.

Coachrx-hey you go the right idea, you can do this, and yes he will eat his heart out!!! I am only 5’1” and 63. I can not count the times over my life that I have lost and gained 20 or more pounds. wish I would have started BB long ago.

Mark-how long does they hybrid take every day??

Some of you may have made it this far down on the thread and thought “hey, she hasn’t put a start date yet” – glad you noticed! This is my plan to avoid putting myself in a corner which could get ugly…I am going to first work on conditioning my body to walking up early and watch all of the DVDs first – so I know what’s coming before I have to do it.

For me, I think this is a smart idea. Don’t get me wrong – I love surprise gifts, just not in the way of a strained muscle or injury. Or shocking my body with early workouts. And knowing that I am prone to such things

Usually I wake up at 6… er, ish. Depending on if I want to really get outta bed or not, sloth around and then get ready in 15 min before running out the door for work. Instead of making my body work out and function that early in the morning – we’re going to take it one step at a time. Last thing I need is to fall asleep in the middle of a plank….
