I got results like these through hard work and dedication and you can too!!

Two years ago I was the biggest I had ever been in my life and I knew something had to change, that is when I decided to get in shape so I could be around for my wife and new born. I knew the life I was living was not going get me there so I made a change. I started off slowly and didn't know what I was doing. I got results but I didn't get the results I wanted and I was not doing it safely...fast forward to Beachbody. My wife got me P90X for Christmas 2011 and I started it right after the new year. Two rounds with P90X a round of INSANITY, now Tai Cheng and I am down from 265 lbs to 145 lbs. I used to wear a size 46 waist now I wear a size thirty.

I made some mistakes and learned alot along the way, and now I want to share those experiences with other to help them get the results I got without the mistakes.

I don't care what program you are doing, or even if you are doing a program.
This thread is for everyone if you are doing INSANITY or if you are just waking 10 minutes a day being active is being active and support will help you get the results you are looking for.

If you are looking for a group of people to support each other to answer each others questions and hold each other accountable this is the group for you. All you need to do is post an introduction and tell us what program you are doing. I will send you a buddy request and help you anyway I can.

Lets get a jump start on the resolutions and go into the new year with a full head of steam, join us and you will not be disappointed!!

*** IMPORTANT TIPS ***

Nutrition
• If you want to see great results, you have to focus on your nutrition as much as the workouts. Nutrition plays a key role in how you will reach your goals and attain the new and better you! Be prepared by getting a solid nutrition plan in place prior to starting. You can do this week-to-week or even plan out your entire month. Over time you will learn new eating habits that you can carry with you for the rest of your life.

• Shakeology is a great way to meet all of your nutritional needs! As a meal or a snack it fuels your body with everything it needs in order to BRING IT everyday!

Track your progress
Where are you now? Where do you want to be? Have Goals!

• Nothing is more important or motivating than to see where you started and how you are progressing along the way! It is so CRUCIAL that you do the following BEFORE you begin:

• Take your Measurements
• Take your before & after pictures
• Take the fit test

I can’t tell you how many people on my previous threads told me they were so mad at themselves for not doing this before they started.

If you want the best results, if you want to maximize your results, not just in the Insanity Workout, but any fitness program, you MUST track your progress. You simply cannot get to where you want to be, unless you know where you’ve been, and that’s why you need the worksheets. Make sure you download the worksheets for the program you are doing and have them ready for day one!

Also utilize the tools that TBB provides. Complete your profile, and track your measurements and weight online. I use MyFitnessPal online to track my food diary as well as my calories burned each day. I would highly recommend signing up and add me as a buddy. My id is BumpusBurn. MFP also has apps for iPhone, Andriod, and Blackberry.

Pre-Workout

• Beachbody workouts are intense! The right fuel will help your body "Dig Deeper!!!" with the intensity you need! If you eat a pre-workout meal, is very important to wait about an hour before you work out. Eat too soon and you could end up losing the meal instead of bringing the intensity!

• If you workout first thing in the morning like I do you might want to skip eating and take a pre-fuel 15 minutes prior to working out. I drink about 1/3 of my recovery drink prior to working out. It gives me all the energy I need to complete the toughest workouts.

Post-Workout

Keep in mind the first week is exceptionally rough! Expect to be sore and tired: Do not give up! Your body will adapt quickly and in no time you will start seeing some crazy results. You may want to do a few non-dvd workouts prior to starting just to get your body & mind ready.

• Recovery: After an intense Beachbody workout, it is vital to recover the right way. I cannot stress enough how important this is. By adding a recovery drink immediately after your workout, you will significantly decrease the amount of soreness you will experience while your body recovers. Intense exercise will burn off glycogen stores in the muscles which leaves the body without its primary source of energy. The longer you are in this state, the greater the chances your body will panic and may actually breakdown your existing muscle to create more glycogen—the exact opposite of what we are working for! Plus low blood sugar levels in the brain will lead to fatigue, irritability, lack of concentration, depression, etc. The Beachbody Recovery Drink will replenish your muscles with glycogen, you will not only avoid muscle breakdown, but you will promote muscle growth and keep your energy levels up. The Beachbody Recovery Drink is a great product and I highly recommend it.

• Accountability: Post your accountability DAILY on the message boards! This is the key to staying motivated. Here is an interesting statistic I’ve noticed over the past couple of threads I’ve been in. Out of all the people who join the thread and commit to the workouts, less than 20% will complete the full 60 day program! But what I found is, of those of post every day they are 90% likely to complete the program and transform their lives.

The message boards and forums are a great way to meet others that are going through exactly what you are and it helps stay accountable and motivated! Your forum buddies will have tips and information that has helped them and could help you as well. You will be doing the same in no time!

So ready to get started? First step, post your commitment to join the team, and second, add me as a buddy and I'll give you more important information. I look forward to getting to know you and seeing the new you!

I'm in. I don't know for sure what program I'll be doing or when I'll be starting exactly. I was doing round 2 of an Insanity/Les Mills Pump hybrid, started Oct 1, but I hurt my foot a week or so ago. Insanity and a sore foot do not mix well. Right now, I'm doing Les Mills Pump, which doesn't bother my foot and just started RevAbs, but I really want to get back to Insanity. I miss it. Until I re-start Insanity, I'll be doing my LMP/RevAbs combo and hopefully adding the LMP deluxe discs (I just ordered those, so I'll try them whenever they get here)

Thanks for including ANY program as I will be doing REV ABS next! I plan to finish INSANITY about a week behind and go straight into REV ABS. Have already been previewing the DVD's.

@cowgirl, Sorry to hear about your foot but way to go finding a way to stay active with the injury, that was good thinking. I sent you a buddy request and I look forward to hearing what workout you choose and about the results you get.

@Tim and Gman, glad to have you both back, look forward to hearing how RevAbs is going and if you like Tai Chang as much as I do!!

Just a few more days until the start of the new thread, and I am excited and hope that it is just as successful and supportive as the last one.

Hi everyone. Popping over from Coach's previous thread. I'm in my second month of month one insanity. Needed that extra month before tackling Max workouts. I've seen lots of changes in endurance, inches, weight, and mentally as well. So far I'm down somewhere between 15-18 pounds since starting mid-Sept. Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs tonight.

Day 60 - Insanity - Core Cardio and Balance - done! emoticon

Can't quite believe we're so near the end. Feeling very proud - and grateful for all this support.

I plan to do Round 2 of Insanity. Advice from others - should I just start again straight away, or take a rest week? I was thinking in a rest week, I'd do some other exercise like dance, yoga, cycling, running etc. Would love to hear what's worked for you to make the most of Round 2. Thanks.

It's November. I guess that means it's time for me to decide what workout I'll be doing. Since my foot still won't let me do Insanity, I'll be doing Les Mills Pump. I'm not starting the program at the beginning. Since I've done it before, and have progressed beyond the first couple DVDs--challenge and burn--I'll be doing 3 days week of primarily either Revolution or Extreme, with some Shred thrown in. I thought I had ordered the deluxe dvds for LMP late last week, and had planned on having them by now to add in some cardio in place of the Insanity I was doing. But, somewhere along the cyberspace lines, something got mixed up and there is no record of my order at TBB, so, I'll reorder today and in the meantime, do something else on cardio days. I tried RevAbs and really do not like it. I think I'll return that one. The only other cardio I have right now is some Jillian Michaels stuff, which is OK (nothing like Insanity or LMP, though), so I guess I'll use that for now.

I guess I better go push play and get my Revolution done. emoticon

I was supposed to take a rest week inbetween both my rounds, and I failed miserabley. I really missed the workouts. I took about a 3 day rest then began again. The only thing I changed is that I moved the calendar to begin on Thursday because it just worked better to have the rest day fall on Wednesday. I also, I added in the Insane Abs and the Upper Body DVD to month one. I will say, I did not have much weight loss, but I can see some serious definition.

As far as getting your t-shirt, click on the Beachbody Challenge link. You will need to supply your information as well as Day 1 and Day 60 pics and you will be good to go! I got mine fairly quickly (I think it was about 2 weeks). Good luck!!

You have to submit your before and after in the Beachbody Challenge I think. I am sure Coach can tell us since a few of us are right on your heals at finishing.

I have 90 days of Tai Cheng starting next Saturday then I will do the Combat I have it preordered as well. Maybe our timing will be so a couple of us hit it at the same time.

On the new thread...needed some rest days with Sandy - we are soooo fortunate that we didn't lose power, but work & daycare was affected (4 days in with a 3 yr old is a workout) - but resuming tomorrow. Have to finish the rest of Insanity...I am so close.

Thinking about ordering les mills combat - is it similar to tapout xt (i have already done that).

Either way, starting p90x after thanksgiving..
