I do not know how to do push-ups and everybody is laughing at me at how I did it. I am feeling down because I am afraid that I am weak to follow through teh 90 days in P90X.
I know exactly how you feel!
I was NEVER good with push-ups my entire life. Then I started going to a gym. I felt a little sheepish admitting to the attendant, a young woman to boot, that I couldn’t do push-ups.
Her advice to me was to do “Girly Push-ups”, which is where you use your knees as your toes. She explained to not let the name or the concept discourage me, because in time after my muscles grew stronger I would be able to pump out regular push-ups without a problem.
That’s exactly what I did – and that’s exactly what happened. Each day I would attempt to do a regular push-up, and if it was too hard, I’d fall to my knees and break through that way. I was able to break out many regular push-ups in just a few weeks.
I’m starting P90X in a couple days, and I’m really anxious and fearful about not being able to make it myself. I wish you all the best. Just don’t give up and keep pressing play.
