ARE YOU READY TO ENGAGE YOURSELF FOR 30/60/90 DAYS??

Do you need a coach who wil push you and encourage you?

Then you are in the right place! Throw away all excuses and doubts! Instead decide to make a change! Commit to that change! Continue to challenge yourself to succeed! You can do this. I am here to help you along the way. So dig deep and together we will cross the finish line!

I've completed P90X, a P90X/P90X+ hybrid, Insanity, P90X2 and Asylum. I've improved my health, dropped 30 pounds, lowered my cholesterol 40 points and look and feel better at 49 than I have at any time in my adult life. I'm currently doing a round of P90X with some modifications and ordered TurboFire which I plan to incorporate into this mix.
PLEASE READ!!

GOALS
Why are you doing this? Is it to loss 5 to 10 pounds, is it to impress someone, or is it to change your life? This is a life changing program and it is totally worth it and everything worthwhile is worth working for. To make sure that you get these life changes you should read through the Fitness and Nutrition guides to help you understand the steps necessary. Whatever your goals are now, I urge you to consider this a lifetime change, not just a 90 day challenge. Make fitness part of your life and you will forever be thankful and you will be a better partner, parent, person and be around for the ones you love. Make your GOALS SMART:

S = Specific "I want to lose weight," is not very specific. How about: "I am going to lose 15 pounds or 2 pants or dress sizes."

M = Measurable Anything that you can measure.

A = Attainable Is it possible to attain your goal? Don't go overboard, but don't go too easy either.

R = Realistic Related to Attainable, ha to be something you can do. Are you looking to lift a cretain weight, run a faster mile or just not get out of breath tying your shoes.

T = Time Limited Give yourself a deadline. In fact this has already been done for you by the folks that created P90X. It is 90 DAYS!!!!

Nutrition
If you want great results, then consider nutrition half of the battle. Nutrition plays a major role in how we reach our goals. Read the nutrition guide and follow the plan. You can prepare week by week or whole month at a time.

Shakeology®, the healthiest meal of the day. Want a simple way to transform your health? All it takes is one glass of Shakeology® a day. This ultra-premium nutritional health shake contains the world's most powerful superfoods. It's the perfect combination of antioxidants, phytonutrients, enzymes, prebiotics, protein and many rare ingredients – including adaptogens, camu-camu, and sacha inchi – giving you the essential nutrients you can't get from an ordinary diet. Replace one meal a day with Chocolate, Tropical Strawberry or Greenberry Shakeology to increase your energy, reduce cravings, lose weight, improve digestion and regularity, and transform your health.* and it's just 150 calories..

Motivation
Nothing is more important than motivation. Times will get tough and there are going to be days that you feel like you cannot get up or you feel too tired at night to workout. This is where your coach and these boards help out. By joining this thread you will find like minded people that will push you and look for help from you to be pushed. This is a 90 day program and it helps to have not just your coach in your corner but a whole team ready to cheer you on and waiting for you to cheer them on.

Also Track your accomplishments:
• Take your measurements
• Take your before and after pictures
• Use the Worksheets

I can't stress this part enough. It REALLY helps to see your progress! Get those measurements and pictures. You don’t have to share your pictures but the motivation that it provides to others is invaluable as you will see when others post their pictures. Take a look at these videos to help you get your photos and measurements right.

Workouts
WARNING: I know the first week of P90X was ROUGH for me and I assume it will be for you. Fight your way through, do your best and things will get easier and better with time. Do your best and do what you can do, that's all you can ask for. As Tony says, "Do your best and forget the rest".

Pre-Workout
All the workouts are intense! You need the right fuel to “Bring It!” and a pre-workout meal about an hour before is important. But be warned if you workout too close to the pre-workout meal you may lose it.

If you workout first thing in the morning, you can skip the meal but you may want to include a 1/3 of your recovery drink in to your water to make sure that you have enough energy to get through your workouts or 1/2 a banana or try the Energy and Endurance for that extra push.

Post Workout:
One of the most important parts of any exercise routine is a recovery drink. I cannot stress how important this is. By adding a recovery drink immediately after your workout you will significantly decrease the amount of soreness you will experience while recovering from your workouts. Plus it replaces vital nutrients that you burned during your workout and prevents muscle damage. The P90X Recovery Drink is a very good product and I highly recommend it. Aside from the proper 4:1 Carbsemoticonrotein ratio, it has Creatine and L-Glutamine which both help your muscles replenish and rebuild.

Equipment:
All you really need are some bands. I suggest a pullup bar and dumbells, but you can do it without them.

Lastly post your Accountability Daily.
The message boards are a great way to meet others that are going through what you are going through and it helps stay accountable and motivated! Everyone comes from different backgrounds and will be able to share tips and information that has helped them and could help you as well. The boards helped me tremendously through my first round of P90X and I can tell you if we can get a group to stick through this together, we will all be better for it.

I look forward to getting to know you. I’ve met many great people in my time here and look forward to meeting more. Personally I'm going to do the program with a few twists, but for the most part will be following the P90X Classic format. I started on the 15th as I like to have Friday as the rest day. Let's all do this together.

Hello,

I am on the board. My name is Maria, I do P90X for 61 days. It is the rigth time of the year to make a New Year resolution for improving health and shape. It is better to start a New Year in shape instead of starting a New Year with the plan of rapair the body damages.
I will write here daily for motivation and will take care for my body and mind.
Nobody wants to be alone in his journey.

I have started my own journal but I think it is better for me to be the part of such topic so I hope you will support me.

Tomorrow is a day 62. It is Kenpo day emoticon .

BR,
Maria

Maria - Welcome, that is awesome. I'm on another round of P90X and today is day 47. I'm mixing in some other discs as you'll see, but sticking to the P90X Classic schedule. Glad to have you and would love to help you to the end. You are right better to start now than in January and hopefully you'll make this a lifestyle going forward.

Thank you Larry,

You can count on me. I'm a serious person I will be serious till the end. But I think the end will never comes because every day we have to give our small steps to make our life healhty and to be proud of the things we do... every day, all the life. I am planning to start P90X2 afrer finishing P90X so I will write here day after day.

I don't like only one thing - that the site beachbody is not made for Europa. I wanted to earn a free T-shirt from the challange and I filled my name/address/answers and I received an answer that I get a T-Shirt but I am not American, so I think that beachbody wouldn't send it to me.

Tomorrow my food will be perfect. My day also. I will make that fact because it depends on me.

BR,
Maria

Thank you for the great info Larry!

I'm excited and nervous all at the same time! I am two years post-op gastric bypass. I started at 275 and got down to 115. I am currently 140. Through the duration of my recovery, I have been very sick and developed a neuro-condition that's landed me in PT. With two weeks left, it's up to ME to keep going. I was unable to complete P90X pre-op and it's all I've thought about since. Toning up, staying healthy, and being a mentor for others is my goal. I'm on board with ya! emoticon

Accountability Day 47 P90X2 Base & Back - I didn't get to my workout until after 9:30 because of work. Plus my sister and brother were here because they have no power so we told them to come by get a hot shower and some electricity (charge their stuff). I said, not to be rude, but I have to work out. They didn't care, they love to see the kids anyway and that's what they did. This workout absolutely DESTROYS me, it really sucks the wind out of me. To me, this is the mother if all P90X workouts and I clawed and scratched my way through it, but with more reps than last time and feeling great afterwards (although I'd like to lie down).

Maria - I know BB is trying to go more Global, it takes time. We jsut got Canada to be eligible to coach, we'll get out to Europa I'm sure.

mrsmanning - Seems you've already taken on some battles, but I can tell you're a fighter. Stick with me adn we'll get you through this. One thing Tony repeats is do YOUR best and forget the rest. important to remember, it's not important to do as much as they do, just do what you can and you'll improve every day.

Long day for me, late workout, but happy to get it in. Late now and I'm toast, so I'll see you tomorrow. Have a great night.

Morning,
It was awful day yesterday. All I want is a normal family, somebody I love, somebody to love me but it not happens sometimes and that kills me. In addition I had a ton of bad food yesterday and I was disappointed by myself. That's why I took the decision to write here from today. My passions are cooking and P90X so till the end of the year I will do P90X and will take care of the healthy food looking and trying a new recipes.

I made this breakfast yesterday (coconut, dried figs, cashews, oatmeal, cinnamon and milk):

And my plan was to eat it this morning but I ate it yesterday and that was my last meal.
Today is a new day and I have to repair yesterday damages because I hold a water now and I am ugly.

For the first time I missed my workout in the morning BUT I WILL DO IT IN THE EVENING. I think in 3-4 days I will love myself again but not now.

Good morning Team ENGAGE, happy Thursday! Another work from home day for me and I'm trying to reconcile the issues from last night. Hope everyone is doing well and ready to kick some butt today on your workout.

Maria - Don't beat yourself up (see today's motivation below). Just make sure you eat clean most of the time and a little indulgence won't wipe out your gains. Also, not sure what your earting habits were before, for me I had to change a lot, so I took it a little at a time and just continue to make better choices. Nice gifts from son, I like the foam roller, can really get the kinks out. Hope you get your workout in this evening.

Today's motivation is pretty simple.

Accountability Day 48 KenpoX - Ideally I'd like to have 2 or 3 lb weights to work with on this, but I don't so I've been going with 5 pounders. Tonight I used them on every move with punches, blocks, even the claw hammer thing. On that final vertical punch sequnce I didn't make it to 100, but my arms were about to fall off. Great workout.

Maria - Way to go, Kenpo is fun and the better you get at it, it gets harder and more fun. For everyone here when you post a workout, try to do it like mine where you post what day you're on, what workout you did and any thoughts on it.

Poppy - Thanks for the support

Here are some halloween pics of my kids. My son is in the middle of the boys (not that you can tell) and my daughter is the mummy. Have a great night everyone, keep pushing play.
