Problem with form on Cardio Abs
Hi all,

I'm new here so i'm not really sure if this has been answered or not (I did do a search but couldn't find anything). I've just finished my second week of Insanity with today being my first work out with Cardio Abs. My problem is that the C-postion really hurts my lower back. I'm sure my form is wrong but I can't seem to get it right.

I would be really grateful if any of you guys could please have any tips or advice on this?

I guess my question is when you say it hurts your lower back, is it a hurt as in...your spine, or is it a hurt as in, you can tell your muscles are unstable and weak? If it's your spine, then yes, you may need to try to adjust something so that you support it better or something, but, if it is just unstable muscles that are weak and that kind of thing, then, it may be just a time thing as your back strengthens. Sometimes my back is better than other days. I'm 47 and age and not being kind to it working on a farm has a lot to do with that too. But, without actually seeing you and feeling your pain, hard to answer that. The best anyone can do with that is to tell you, maybe videotape yourself and see what your form looks like and try to adjust it so that you feel better, but otherwise, just push through it and allow yourself to get better over time. That make sense?

Hi Mike,

Here's a great video that will help you! Always keep your abs tight ( draw belly into spine ).

Thanks guys for the speedy replies and advise. I am very grateful.

I think my muscles are just weak and will have to get a whole lot stronger emoticon I've just finished the second week of Insanity and lost 7lbs so far. Insanity & My Fitness Pal (iPhone App) has changed my whole out look on food and exercise. It's the most positive thing i've done in my life for a long time!
