Hi All!!!!

Well to me, coaching always begin with a story...so here is mine and my WHY emoticon I hope that I will not bore you too much lol

According to my mom, I was a very active baby when she was pregnant with me…rumors are that I was trying to win the marathon or practicing being Muhamad Ali even before being born. With all that energy, I was riding my first bicycle on two wheels at the age of 3.

From that point on, it was clear that sports and wellness was going to be the main focus of my life. As soon as I turned 9 years old, I started to compete in cross-country skiing, shattering all the records for someone my age. The potential I had was too strong and I had to race in older categories to be able to improve my skills.

Soon enough, I started practicing roller speed skating, so that I could be able to compete and train all year around, having a winter sport and a summer one. In 1996, at 11 years old, I beat the World Record for the 10 km in Roller Speed Skating, all ages together…shortly after that, it was decided for me that I should re-orientate in mountain biking during summers.

Turns out, I had potential in this sports too; I became the North America Champion in cross-country skiing and a national champion in mountain biking. Life was almost too good to be true, going to school in a Sports Academy, focusing on what mattered for me. But when I turned 16 years old, life decided to let me know that challenges were not only gonna happen through sports.

I lost 5 members of family during that year and my parents divorced…leaving me with one of the biggest hole I have ever had to deal with. So, I decided to take a year off, which turned into me focusing on my career…giving up the Olympic dream! But you know, in life, it is not about the amount of times that you fall, it’s about how you come back up.

Even though I was not competing anymore, I kept practicing new sports…it kinda made me feel alive. I started hockey, snowboarding, motocrossing, swimming, kept hitting the gym, and much more…I would definitely practice every sport if I could. Nutrition has always been really important for me, having nutrition courses under my belt; I strongly believe that you are what you eat. You get so much more energy and wellness from proper nutrition that from junk food.

I now graduated from Civil Engineering and I soon realized that I want to help people, I want to change the world in any way that I can, because I believe that everyone can hit success, be healthy, fit and wealthy…thanks to Civil Engineering, I had the chance to meet my better half, a person who means the world to me, someone that helps me drive for my dreams on a daily basis...and who is also a Beachbody coach in Team Mayhem, ready to bring it with you guys!

Tom and I decided that it was about time that we combine both of our passions for fitness and wellness put our skills together and help people achieve their goals. For me, I turned my Olympic Dream into a much bigger dream…the well being of one another…and this, is, the ultimate…at least I’d know that all these scars weren’t in vain.

A great man said:”Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee!” Muhamad Ali is a great inspiration for me and I try to live everyday like it was my last; because every breath I take is one step closer to my dreams!

I hope you enjoyed the little that I shared here emoticon

Hey Guys!

Tom here...I am teamed up with Julie, founders of the Team Mayhem emoticon I thought I would stop by and give you a little bit of my story as well! Let me know what you guys think!

I have been involved in sports and training my entire life as well as that adrenaline junkie side that’s just too fun to pass up.

Once I could walk I was on a bicycle, and once I was on that bicycle I was a free man and made a goal to myself to ride fast and train hard, because one day I would become the next batman…. Well I was just a kid I also thought I could be a fire truck but one thing I did do was stick to training and working hard.

My dad noticed my unlimited supply of energy and had me in sports right away. I played baseball, football, soccer, roller hockey, basketball, volley ball, boxing etc. Of course in the mix would be dirtbiking/quading and water sports as well.

But once I was in my late teens the main focus was boxing and lifting weights plus I took on my career as an electrician. Now in most cases to make big money with electrical one must go work in an isolated work camp north of uncle bobs cabin, and that’s just what I did.

Working 12hr days 7 days a week until days off then I would go travel the world and live life by seeing new places, meeting new people, and trying whatever whenever like skydiving, scuba diving, bungee jumping etc…

So fast forward 5 years and I’v been many places and seen many things and started building a Hydro Dam in Manitoba Canada. That’s where I met Julie, she was the new beautiful engineer on site and being as handsome and charming as I am managed to work my magic and make her fall in love.

Julie has had an epic sports career and I was absolutely blown away when she explained all her accomplishments. It was basically at that moment when we turned to each other and decided to devote our lives to pursuing our passion which is supporting health and wellness.

We would train together every day sharing our knowledge of our active lifestyles. Traveling on our days off the same as before but this time I had a co-pilot for all the shenanigans we would face.

But now we have decided to settle down and make the dream a reality and that’s where Beachbody introduced themselves in Canada...finally! Now I have used almost every training program and supplements out there to write a book or even an encyclopedia of reviews.

In all honestly I have been nothing but impressed with all of the Beachbody products and workout programs, so much that we have made it a big part of our active lifestyle. They have a wide range of products/workouts and awesome quality, but the transformations can speak for themselves on the befores and afters.

With our team, we have the chance to be supported by some of the most amazing founders in the USA, bringing tons of potential and it’s great to hear about all the people you have helped to achieve their goals through fitness and finance.

Well, I think I spoke enough lol

See you soon!

Hi guys emoticon
I'm currently on Week 2 of Month 2 insanity (starting tm today was my rest day)
I would love to join this thread. Especially for motivation and tips on nutrition. I'm not doing to well in that department and it's probably the reason my results aren't what I want them to be emoticon
I played volleyball, basketball, and ran track in highschool and then gained 40 lbs during my pregnancy and still have 30 of them on emoticon emoticon
I guess I'm a "used to be fitness junkie" LOL

Thanks for reading,
Aiesha.

Any question you might have feel free to ask emoticon we are here to help out!!

Nutrition is definitely the blue print of your fitness success. If you need help, we can build you a nutrition plan emoticon but you'd have to follow it lol

Definitely need help with the nutrition plan. Haha and yes I'll follow it emoticon
I love insanity. I haven't lost much weight though... only about 2 lbs. I am noticing inches though... but I really though I could lose 20 lbs. I have 3 weeks left so now I'm just hoping that I could maybe lose 10. 8lbs in 3 weeks isn't that unreasonable is it? Maybe it is.
After I finish this I'm doing Janelle's CX/turbofire hybrid 2-a-day program. I heard that the results from that are amazing as well.

You could also try Asylum...I had crazy results from that.

If you give me your weight and height it would help me emoticon

Also, don't focus too much on the weight, as when you start building muscle mass, chances are you will either gain weight or it won't move at all. Take your measurements once a week, you will notice a difference!

As for the 10 pounds in 3 weeks, it is really feasible...as long as you really focus on your nutrition...and no CHEATING lol

I'm 20 years old. 5'2 and 148 lbs.
So it is attainable? Well I'm going to try my absolute HARDEST.

Also, does your coach have a Challenge group for the workouts?

Guys and gals emoticon

This is my first post and it might not be perfect, but I figured, hey WHY not lol

So, last night was my first bulk night and I was soooooooo tired. I work 12 hour days, 7 days a week and trust me, all I wanted to do is to catch some ZZZZZ's. But, my mental power kept me up. I drank a pre-workout drink called Ripped Freak...it gives me a good boost when I need it emoticon Then I had to wait for about half an hour, so I went crazy lol I did all the dishes and prep for our diner after the workout. Ya it is a sad story working these long hours because I have to be up at 5 for work, pretty leaving me just the nights to workout, but hey, NO EXCUSE! So, after that...well...of to get huge! Let me tell you, this Bulk: Chest workout is crazy. The force set is my highlight...5 sets of 5 reps...no rest...I only used 10 pounds since I didn't really know how my body would react and I think it was enough considering all the other exercices: progressive set and combo set...plus the inclined push ups...ouch! By the end of the workout I was shaking, but proud!

Then off to my post workout shake...just some slow release proteins! And I made a wonderful diner...veggies and trout miam!

All I can say is that there is really no excuse to not workout, if I can do it, everyone can.

Let's my journey continue...

Well...last night was my first night of Bulk: legs of the Body Beast workout! For the ones who have done P90X2 I felt like doing what Tony does and yell a huge.....ouchhhhhhhhhhhhh!

This workout is insane! I would say that the build Phase does get you ready...but I was not expecting Bulk lol My legs were literally failing on me. The Split Squat Progressive Set is definitely my highlight...it is about 3 minutes of leg craziness! In a lunge position, you hammer out 15, 12, then 8 reps with increasing weights for one leg, then switch to the other leg, 15, 12 and 8 reps again. Then you go back to the first leg to with 8, 12, and then 15 reps…finishing up by doing the same thing to the other leg. Weights I used: REPS: 15/12/8 Weights: all with EZ bar 20/30/50 (plus whatever the EZ bar is)...used these weights for both legs all the reps. Let me tell you...my legs gave up on me at then end lol An other highlight, at the end of this workout, Sagi makes sure that there is no life left in your legs with a Super Set...you do Stiff Leg Deadlifts immediately followed by 10 reps of Alternating Side Lunges...10 reps...really...OMG! I will definitely have quadzillass by the end of the Bulk Phase. I can tell my entire body is getting rock hard! As for the pre-workout shake...20 grams of oatmeal an hour before, with a banana and 40 grams of whey protein in a shake. During workout...my usual BCAA's. After...X-Tend recovery shake and about an hour later diner...lean chicken with veggies.

I can't help it but blog about it! For many year I have been looking at all these fit girls competing in the bikini class in the Federations IFBB or NCP and I always thought I could never be fit enough. Recently, for some reason, I thought, I workout out so hard I should try...so I started to look for Teams and coaches who could bring me to the level I need to be to go on stage and of course, win emoticon Well, after going through the application process, the best team in the world, Team Bombshell accepted me on their competition team! I am looking forward to go on these workout camps with all these wonderful women! My new journey is starting and chances are I will competing in April 2013 for the first time! You can follow my journey and I will try and motivate you as much as I can through my ups and downs of hard workout, discipline and sacrifices....it is a whole new lifestyle! Thanks to Beachbody workouts, I was able to get the physique to be able to get in and I could never be thankful enough!!!
