Problem toning up my midsection......
Hi,

I am a mom to a 3 yr old & a wife to an awesome hubby. Did Insanity in June & saw some results. Am in month 2 of P90x. I love p90x. Gave me guns I never thought I can have. The only problem is my midsection. I can't get it to tone up. I did the Ab ripper X like on days I should but still......

This is what I eat everyday :

Breakfast: Shakeology with fruits smoothie
Snack : nuts
Lunch: Chicken Salad or fish
Dinner : Chicken salad or fish

And Nothing after 7pm...just water.....

I workout after I get home from work & I drink post recovery drink with whey protein while doing my workout.
I am 5'2 & petite weigh 115lbs. I have been trying to lose the weight and wanting to go back to my pre pregnancy weight which is 105lbs. My goal is to lose the 10lbs, toned up with definitions.

Hello!

Insanity and P90X is pretty amazing!

It doesn't seem like you are eating enough, especially Carbs. I completed P90X two months ago, and I can tell you, I didn't start seeing my abdominal section getting defined until I upped my carbs during the end of the 2nd into the 3rd phase. I really needed the carbs to be able to push myself as hard as I could.

If you are writing down your weights/bands used and notice you haven't increased much recently, eating more carbs will definitely help.

I try to eat whole grain flatbread with chicken, lettuce, avocado & light sesame dressing like a wrap every once a while. I have just tried quinoa today & will try to cook it. Seems like its packed with lots of good stuff. Thanks for your reply!

It could be adrenal.

How is your sleep? Stress level?

It looks like not enough food just in general. Where is your fat intake coming from?

Thanks for helping. I get about 7 hours of sleep everyday & I get my fat intake here & there. Stress level is moderate emoticon

What do you recommend?

Depending on what the pregnancy did to your body, your mid section may never come back to your "before pregancy" expectations. I've gone through 3 pregnancies, and have the stretch marks to show for it. I did a round of Insanity, a 2 month stretch of a mix of workouts, and am now on a round of p90x. I've toned everywhere but my mid section. I still have the "loose" skin and stretch marks, and have a feeling the loose skin will always be an issue. It is so much better than it was when I first started, but I know I'll never have my before belly.
