LOST PROGRESS
LOST PROGRESS
11/4/12 3:19 PM
I just recently started my 3rd round of P90X and I took 1 week off from the end of my first round to the start of the 2nd and from the end of the seconf to the start of the 3rd. Each time I have noticed a significant loss in progress specifically endurance and rep count. Is 1 week off too much time? I haven't lost any apperance or weight results, but just not as strong going in. Can anyone shed light on this?

brila5,

Congratulations on completing P90X!

The week you had taken off between rounds, have you done any form of exercise at all? A week without exercise may be the cause of you lost progress. If this is a recurring thing, then next time why not starting a new round immediately after the end? It is good you were able to maintain results during the week off. Keep up the good work and BRING IT!

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask away!

I just had a hard time believing that only one week with light exercise (riding my bike) in between would really lessin reps and endurance. I take the week off because honestly I need a bit of a break going 6 days a week for 13 weeks straight. This first week of the 3rd round, I am sore all over like I was the very first time I started.
