Just finished X Trainer! So much FUN!! Yes, it was tough, but I liked it a lot! I expected it to be more like Speed and Agility, but it was pretty different. There were a lot of agility moves, but there were a lot more push-ups than I expected. I had to get down on my knees for a few of them, but other than that I hardly had to take any breaks! I guess I'm in good shape from Volume 1. I definitely have room for improvement on some of the agility moves as far as speed goes, but I at least had the basic movements down from doing the agility tutorial. DON'T skip the tutorial! It definitely helped because there are a few times throughout the workout where he will just name a move and start without showing you, so if you haven't done the tutorial you'll be lost.

I have the upper body elite workout tomorrow. I've watched that one. Looks tough!

Hey team

I did a strength workout today. Quite a bit behind actually. The last 10ish days have been tough for the routine. I started a new job, now I'm working a 6:30am-3pm shift M-F!! So much better than my last job, which was Thurs-Mon 1pm-10pm! The switch in schedules and being sick got me a bit behind. Now I am just chugging along through the last week of Asylum 1 and I'll be ready to start Nov. 12th. NO MORE EXCUSES for me emoticon

Stephanie- it's good to hear that X Trainer was a fun workout! I can't wait to try it. I will definitely do the agility tutorial a couple times this weekend to prepare. I really need to get a big rug to put over my mats.

As for a recovery week, I won't really be doing one if you haven't noticed already haha. The reason is I have pretty much had a recovery week the past week. Since I haven't been working out as much my body is well rested and I'm ready for another 30 day push of intensity!!

Chnar- That's awesome! I think we can all agree that we're Shaun T freaks ;) Also, keep up the good work with YouTube, I've been following your vids! emoticon

So excited for this thread and our experiences with Asylum 2!

I did Championship and the Fit Test this morning. I really like Championship. I did five complete rounds of the Fit Test. I wanted to do more but couldn't but now I have something to shoot for on improving.

No APA for me tonight. Stuck at work waiting on Noreaster

Great job Andrew, Chnar, and Keith - you're almost there! And then on to Volume 2 emoticon

I had Day 2 Upper Elite this morning. I really liked this workout as well. It was different from the Strength workout, but still a lot of fun. My arms, chest, shoulders, and my lower abs are sore tonight! I'm getting better with the jump rope during the warm ups, but I still struggle a little bit. I just need a bigger living room! I keep whacking things with the rope. Tomorrow I have Power Legs. I'm a little nervous for that one! Vertical Plyo always killed me and I know this workout will be no different! Plus, it's a longer workout than Vertical Plyo.

Can't wait until you're all doing Volume 2 as well! Have a great night everyone emoticon

Stephanie- Great job getting started with Volume 2! you're doing awesome! 3 more days and I finally get to talk about day 1! lol

Keith- That sucks you were stuck at work for so long. Hope everything is ok over there. Lots of crazy weather! Nice work on the APA. I'm pumped for volume 2 right along with you!

Marc- welcome to the group! Already on week 2, wow! You'll be a great addition for motivation and support of this group. Can't wait to be doing Asylum 2 with you.

Chnar- A recovery week will be a good idea and I'll be watching for your review on X Trainer on the 19th! emoticon

Well, I have to go do Vertical Plyo.. wahoooooo!

Awesome numbers Keith! Great job!

Andrew - Can't wait until you start Volume 2 so I have more people to talk about it with!

I did Power Legs yesterday. The first half of that workout reminds me a lot of Vertical Plyo, but the second half was quite a bit different. Definitely works the legs though! This morning I did Back & 6 Pack. My back has definitely gotten stronger after doing Volume 1, but still needs some improvement. Shaun T even threw in a few Insanity moves into that workout (Like ski abs!!). Tomorrow is a stretch day, and then Sunday is the Championship/Sudden Death workout. So far after 4 days I really love these workouts!! I'm already planning on doing the Insanity/Volume 1/Volume 2 hybrid next! (I know, I'm way ahead of myself emoticon )

AND my Asylum t-shirt came today! Woop woop!!

Keep pushing play everyone! You're doing great!

I started Nov 1st and I love these workouts! I'm not sure if the workouts are 10 times harder like the commercial says but they are much more fun! When I did X Trainer my first thought was "Is this extreme hop scotch?". I did Upper Elite today and it was great! I will post before and after pics when the month is up.

You should definitely post your before and after pics in the Beachbody Challenge. You've worked hard to get to where you are and you could be chosen to win the $500 daily prize. There are some requirements but it is worth looking into.

Thanks Andrew:

I did Upper Elite this morning for the second time. I upped my dumbbells by five pounds. I got a lot out of it but could only do fewer reps. I will stick at this weight (20s) next week and see how I do.

I did 15,000 pushups in August (usually more than 500 in one session) but the way Shaun T sets them up in between curls and shoulder presses and agility drills, I am still struggling (which is a good thing).

I am still loving this program. And I am even more motivated to do the V1 and V2 hybrid when I am done with my first round of V2.

Shaun T is a genius and highly diabolical.

Power Legs tomorrow.

PS: I am representing for the AARP crowd. I am 63. I tried to find others in my decade who would even attempt this stuff, but to no avail.

Awesome work everyone!
I just finished Asylum 1 yesterday. Here are my scores from day 1 and day 30:

Agility Heisman - 6 / 8
In & Out Ab Progression - 30 / 33
Pushups - 12 / 16
Mountain Climber Switch Kicks - 45 / 64
Agility Shoulder Taps - 3 / 4
X Jumps - 20 / 29
Moving Pushups - 4 / 6
Agility Lateral Shuffle - 8 / 11
Agility Bear Crawl - 3 / 6

What I'm most impressed by is how much faster I am and I look a lot leaner compared to day 1.
Was also surprised I beat my body fat % goal. Went from 18% down to 16%.

Now its rest week. Will finally have time to catch up on all my videos I need to make.
Keep you guys posted when I start Nov. 19 !
Oh and I was also going to do the 3 Day Shakeology cleanse before I start Asylum 2. Has anyone tried this before?

Hey everyone,

Awesome job with Volume 1, Chnar! What an improvement in your numbers!

This morning I did the Championship workout, with Sudden Death OT at the end. I didn't necessarily find it much harder than Gameday, but it was definitely harder having the fitness test at the end of a workout! I was able to get through the agility sequence 6 times, ALMOST 7. I was so close but I didn't finish before time was up! So, I guess next week my goal will be to at least make it through 7 times! The people in the video were getting mostly 7's and 8's as their numbers, so I felt pretty good about my number considering it's the first week.

Have a great day everyone! emoticon

Hey everyone and welcome all the new people! Try to post on here when you can, it'll keep yourself and the rest of us motivated emoticon

I'm starting Asylum 2 tomorrow. I'm so excited! I got a huge throw rug to put over my mats finally, and a new blender for my shakeology! yay!

I'm going through the agility tutorial twice this evening! I did Back to Core last night, another favorite workout of mine. I like the change of pace (slower) and the muscle work in it. I also like all the back exercises when you're lying on the ground for like 10 min! haha. Still worked hard though.

Stephanie- great job on the fit test after championship, and getting through the first week!

Good luck everybody and I'll be back tomorrow with my X Trainer review!
