But im here to try to make it a little easier for you. This thread is to give you all the support and answers you need. Its also here to hold you accountable for your workout and diet. Post when you do or miss your workout. Let us know how your doing. I'm here for you. And others will be as well! I've lost 50+ pounds so far on INSANITY, but i still have more work to do. You can get great results too, just need to commit yourself! Lets do this together!

If your joining me, all you need to do is post your accountability daily! This meaning tell us if you completed your workout, what workout you completed, how it went for you, did you break any eating rules today? and anything else you wish to add!!

It would be great if you could also do a few things to help us get to know you a little better:

Here are some of my tips for people new to INSANITY and Team Beachbody.

1) Keeping Track
**Do your fit test. Keep track of it. So you can see those insane improvements.
**Before and after pictures. Take a picture every 30 days to see how your body is changing.
**Take measurements every 30 days to see how many inches and body fat your losing.
**Teambeachbody.com also has ways for you to track your goals in your profile. Explore site.

2) Nutrition
**Check your INSANITY nutrition guide, loads of information and great recipe examples.
**Find out how many calories you need(do the formula in the nutrition guide, -500 to lose)
**Eat small, good, healthy meals 4-6 times daily (depending how many calories you found you need from above).
**Drink lots and lots of water.
**Shakeology is a great way to get everything in a glass. You would have to eat like $40 of vegetables to equal a $4 glass of shakeology. It also has protein and all sorts off good stuff in it for you like chia seeds and wheat grass (and the list goes on). If you like chocolate milkshakes youll love chocolate shakeology. If you love smoothies youll love tropical shakeology. Learn about or buy shakeology by clicking HERE (you get a free gift if you buy from there)

3)Pre-Workout
**The workouts are intense. Don’t eat any less than an hour before your workout. I recommend a pre-workout snack/supplement of some sort before you work out. Like the energy and endurance formula, protein bar, or a protein shake. You can learn and buy all 3 of those HERE.

4)Post-Workout
**Its extremely important to have a recovery drink within 20 minutes after your workout. This is CRITICAL. You need to replace the glycogen you burned up, prevent muscle breakdown, and start the recovery process immediately after a workout. There’s a ton of science supporting this. I use the P90X Results and Recovery, it's great and i recommend it. Again you can check that out by clicking HERE

5)Accountability
**Like i said before, post your accountability daily. Let us know how your workout and day went. Im here for you!

As for my accountability, today I did Max Interval Circuit and pushed so hard it looked like I hopped out of the shower afterwards!! emoticon I'm definitely getting stronger with each workout and LOVE the way it makes me feel!

Great job Coach!

well youve come to the right place. im about to go into month 2 aswell. im just one day ahead of you right now. so we can definitely get through it together. and dont worry month 2 is harder but its nothing you cant handle. like remember day 1 when the fit test was hard? like sbanks just said... but now you look forward to the fit test. so dont worry too much. anticipate to work but go into it ready to kick its butt not for it to kick yours.

Hey folks! Mark here. Nice to meet you all!

Thanks for the invite Chris, and I'm more than happy to join this group as it will be only prove to be of benefit!

I did my Fit Test yesterday, proud that I made it through day one unscathed! Excited, and nervous, to see what Plyo. Circuit will bring! But I'm ready to dig deep! I have dinner plans tonight straight after work but I don't want to miss my workout so joining this group is already holding me accountable! I'll be sure to watch what I eat; basically I'll be looking to fuel my body for tonight's workout!

This is it for me: an opportunity to get back in shape, and it goes without saying, a big thank you to all the support both within this group but also the teambeachbody.com community!

Hello Everyone,

Day three for me and it's going good, despite the fact I am so sore it looks like I have been riding a horse the past week when I walk... I can't wait for the second Fit Tets to see how I am doing, I made it through the first one but lost my breakfest right after. I drink a pre-workout mix kind of like "Jack" before I run, so I did the same thing for Insanity. Not a good idea, Insanity by itself keeps me at 168-185 bpm and the pre-workout juice just pushed it way higher. Day 2 and 3 went great without it so we'll leave that for the days I go running.

See how day 4 goes tomorrow, but glad I'm not alone in this insane idea to get in shape, I'm currenty a shape, just not in the best of shape emoticon

Mark- Congrats on finishing the fit test, I completed mine as yesterday as well! Just like you if I do something after work I have to make smart choices so that it does not effect my workout, or progress. Good luck with day two, and i'm glad we have this place where we can share our progress.

Luis- Congrats on day 36, it must feel great to know that you are half way there.. I can only imagine how insane month two must be, but can't wait to get there. Keep up the hard work!

ReaperSF- Like you I love the idea of getting into shape, as i'm also a shape. lol I only finished the fit test but when I woke up this morning I could definitely feel it, so on day four you must really be feeling it. With your firs week almost down you must feel great though. Keep up the good work.

Stephen

All: wow i can see this is going to be a great thread. look at all the support already!

Merkooz: welcome to the thread and to the insnaity. good job getting your fit test. as you can see stephen is also on the same day as you! so thats great, you guys can push each other and hold each other accountable the whole program. week 1 is going to be tough but i promise you and your body will see great improvements as you move forward! ive lost 50+ pounds in 90 days so far and im still going! (also whats your real name?)

Luis: welcome to the thread. yeah month 2 can be crazy insane. i just think of it like this though... entering month 1 is wayyy harder then entering month 2. your body is ready for the challenge by the end of month 1. remember when you first started insanity? it was prolly really tough (like it was for me, to where i almost wanted to quit) but now your improving everyday! month 2 will show you even greater improvments. keep up the good work. we are here for you.

Mikael: hows the recovery week going? im loving it lol.

Reaper: welcome to the group. way to finish day 3, your a day ahead of stephen and merkooz so show them the way, lead by example. soreness can be a pain, but i love the feeling of it just cause i know its my muscles growing and getting more defined. and dont worry your body will be better adjusted to insnaity after a week. yeah i wouldnt suggest one of the crazy pre workout drinks with a lot of artificial stuff in it (this one company sent me a free company and im afraid to even try it cause of all the crazy ingredients lol). keep pushing and youll get in the best shape of your life like you want to, promise. oh yeah and def be prepared to see yourself beat every score on that fit test if you keep working hard!

Stephen: way to knock out that fit test yesterday. let me know when you get your plyo cardio circuit done today. dig deep and stay hydrated!

As for me i have another day of recovery.. core cardio & balance. i think im also going to play basketball with some friends today. its crazy that they even notice a lot of improvment by me on the court due to insanity. im ready to lose some more lbs and dunk already!! haha

I usually do my workout after work, but sometimes responsibilities may take over your time, making it difficult to keep your workout interrupted. Those days I have stuff to do, I just wake up an hour earlier than usual and do it in the morning...That way, no regrets!!!
Keep it up the good work Stephen, and when the time comes that your mind tells you, "its just one workout, you can skip it...its ok" ,you say NO WAY!..till the very end! Its all about willpower and commitment!
The first 3 weeks were the hardest for me, after that it becomes a habit, just part of your daily activities!

I am currenty TDY which is why I have the time to do this workout now that my beautiful wife and wonderful kids are not a distraction. However as I am living in a hotel for the next few months it isn't easy planning out the meals as I am limited due to my situation. Currently this is what I am doing to try and stay on the healthy eating side as possible.

Insanity first thing in the morning 4:30 am

GNC Pro Performance® AMP Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 (Following my workout)
Mid morning snack is usually a pack of tuna
Healthy Lunch (As Healthy as Possible)
Afternoon snack is a protien bar
Healthy Dinner (As Healty as Possible)
Shakeology for a late snack prior to bed

Now I have no idea if this is going to be good enough to help keep me improving, and would love to hear from some of you healthy eaters on what else I may be able to do to help with recovery and stay on track. Remember I am hotel bound so some options are limited to me, but I'll keep an open mind.

Thanks,

Mikael: yeah love the exercises in that dvd. the last part before the last stretch always gets me lol.

Luis: way to change your schedule around to make sure you stay on top of your workout. i always try to get mine done in the morning too, so i know i wont miss it and it also makes me feel like i already accomplished something with my day. let me know how it goes tonight. dig deep, month 2 is a challenge but nothing you cant handle, you got it. and good advice to stephen.

Reaper: wait sorry what is tdy? does that mean your in the military? as far as your eating goes..... do you know how many calories your supposed to be eating? (refer to page 3-5 of the nutrition guide to find it). If you do know, are you eating the right amount of calories, less, or more? I would also suggest eating something before working out but i know this is hard to do if the workout is first thing you do in the morning, but if possible eat a protein bar,2 eggs, or even shakeology 30-60mins before your workout so your stomach has something in it. also how long before bed do you drink your shakeology? i would suggest using it during the day or morning so your body can be fueled by all that healthy stuff during the day.

Stephen & Merkooz: let me know how day 2 goes today.

And remember....
