Hi everyone! I just started Turbofire today and I must admit I'm frustrated and disappointed to say the least.... This is totally not what I expected.... I found it very hard to follow... Not so sure I like Chalene's style either... Not a fan of all her dancing... Anyone that has done this program have any suggestions?? I am going to give it a few more days, but honestly I'm not so sure about this

Hi!

Have you tried the new to class option? it helps to break everything down.

I've been doing the Turbo workouts for over a year and half now - at first it was a little hard to catch on, but after a little bit you start to remember the moves and really have fun with it!

In the live class they recommend you go 3 times before deciding if you like it - I'd recommend the same type of thing with the DVDs - give it a week or so before you decide whether or not it's for you.

Good Luck!

I've heard from many people it starts slow and is hard to get the moves but once you do, it takes off. Patience may be the key here. I started a thread for people starting TF, mine should be delivered tomorrow. Check it out here and help us buidl up a group.

Yes I did start with the new to class option... I just found she goes soo freaking fast... I spent more time just standing and watching the tv than I did exercising... I am well aware that it is something new and I have to give it a chance.. I am going to stick with it for a full week before fully deciding whether i like it or not.. I'm not sure what I was expecting going into this, but I wasn't expecting the structure to be the way it is... I'm used to Slim in 6, Slim Series, and P90X... All specific directions and easy to follow moves... It's a learning curve I guess. I was just so frustrated that I couldn't really follow it..

Well.... I have been doing the fire starter workout for like a week or so.... I do agree with a couple of different post... Maybe do the fire starter workout a couple of times to get used to her style. Then when you do the other workouts, use the new to class option.... It has helped me greatly....

I love the workout!

Hang in there K, it will get easier, try to give it at least 2 weeks, because you will have had a chance to do all the workouts a few times. Angie

I had the same problem when I started out. All the moves were so confusing and hard to follow. I did Weeks 1-3 of the beginners schedule - and made sure to do the Fire Starter class several times. Doing that class and the low HIIT 20 helped a lot with the moves. After the three weeks, I was able to start in on the real 12-week schedule. At times I still had to pause or rewind to get the moves down.

After the first two weeks, I was getting all the moves down and really enjoyed it. I've just started week 9 and now am able to turn the music on high to enjoy it while working out. Hang in there - it is tough at first, but believe me it is worth it! emoticon

Don't give up. Try the new to class and progress from there. It took me 3 months to ge turbo jam down and about half that long to get turbo fire down. And I already new most of chalenes moves. I still get mixed up quite often. Just remember to have fun with it. And as long as your still moving your still getting a workout. Like Chalene says make it YOUR workout.

I just started today too! (And clearly just set things up on here...I don't even have a picture yet because all of mine are on my iphone haha) but I actually LOVED the workout, it was such a nice change for me from insanity. I would love to keep up with people who are doing the program and our progress. What I've found to be true is that you'll eventually pick up on the moves, try your best, if you're a little behind, its ok, if you miss something, its ok, just keep pushing forward. You'll get the hang of it!

Once you get it, you'll have it and be able to pick up anything she throws at you in a DVD. But it does take a bit of time to catch on. I've heard the Firestarter DVD is great. They didn't have that when I first got TurboFire, but I found doing TurboJam helped me pick things up.
And give yourself a few tries, it's difficult, but that's what keeps it interesting. emoticon

Hey Everyone!!

I'm a TurboFire-A-Holic!!! emoticon. I absolutely love it! I've been doing it for 10 months and truly have found my soulmate workout!! I started w/ Turbo Jam for 1 month and I'm sure that helped! BUT I remember it being tough at first.. But like everyone says, just give it some time! It is such a great program! I, too, remember it feeling too dancey, prob cause my coordination sucked!! But it definitely does get easier to follow!! I've gotten fantastic results with it, too! And they're still coming emoticon

I agree with a lot of the posts above. Just give it time... its so true that once you get the basic moves down it gets much easier... kinda like riding a bike. I have a lot of friends that decided to try it after I did and they felt the same way you do. I always told them that it's important to just keep moving. Even if it takes a few weeks to get more comfortable just keep moving, bouncing, punching, jogging, etc. You'll get better every single day! The workouts are amazing and you will get awesome results if you stick with it. And, I believe there is a 30 day, or even 60 day money back guarantee on it. Don't give up on it too quickly. I think you'll not only have fun with the workouts but you'll also be so proud of yourself. The great thing about doing something that your body isn't used to is that you will get great results even quicker! :-) Keep an open mind and keep us posted about how it's going, ok?

I just started Turbo Fire last night, very frustrating but I am not going to give up yet. I still got a good workout with all of the moving around even if the moves weren't right.

My question is where do you find the Fire Starter class, I don't see that anywhere. Also I see that eventually there is a Tone 30 class, I did not get a DVD for this. I only have the Tone 10.

Also, I did the Fire 30 last night which is supposed to include Stretch 10, I went through the DVD and there was no stretching.

Can someone please help me with my confusion?

Kim

Fire 30 and Stretch 10 are on the same disc -- you just have to go back to the menu and choose Stretch 10 after you finish Fire 30.

I started last night, and was glad I had done a few Fire Starter classes already, in the past. A client sent me the link to where it is free online -- are we not supposed to share that? Was it in the welcome email when we ordered? I highly recommend starting there, and NOT giving up! I love Chalene and think this will be a great program, especially once I get the moves figured out a little more. But it will take time! I like the challenge.

Hi!

Tone 30 is on the same disc as Sculpt 30 - about 11 disc sleeves back in your TurboFire DVD case.

The Fire Stater class should have come in it's own individual sleeve.

Were you able to locate the Stretch 10 class?

People who purchased the $53 package did not get the Fire Starter class on a disc. I remember it said in the details that it was not included.

The first time it went on sale for $53 it did come with the Fire Starter, the second time there was no Fire Starter or resistance band but it did come with the advanced DVDs.

I didn't get the Fire Starter DVD but I did find a link where you can watch it for free. I have done P90X and P90X2 3 times each so I am somewhat fit.

I did find the Tone 30, on the sleeve it says Tone 10 but when I pulled out the DVD it said Tone 30.

I did the HIIT 15 class last night and I thought I was going to die! It was much harder than the Fire 30 class. It was a very intense 15 minutes, I couldn't catch my breath and had to pause a few times. I will say it was easier to follow than Fire 30 though. Today is my rest day and then 4 days in a row....yikes!

I see that you do some of the workouts more than once in a week, I hope I don't get bored with it.
