Ladies, Let's get PUMPED UP!!! Accountability and motivation!!!
Hey, everyone!
I just started Les Mills Pump this Monday, Nov 5th, and now realized that I will need some support and accountability partners to go along with me on this exciting journey!!!
It doesn't matter if you started already or starting soon, I think just by getting together and sharing our experiences it will help us get through the bumps and obstacles!
My goal is to get to the best shape of my life for the beginning of 2013! To feel good and have more energy!
I would love it if you would join me!

Please tell us more about yourself:
What's motivating you to start working out?
What are your goals?
Do you have a deadline by when you would like to achieve it?
What are your obstacles?

Please feel free to check out my profile for my complete story, but I'll write a little bit about myself here.
I'm 28 yo, 5'5", 146 lbs, currently live in Miami Fl
My challenges with fitness started early in my childhood! I grew up in a very strict home in Eastern Europe, where emotions and feelings were never discussed and you had to be "perfect" to be shown any kind of love or attention…that caused certain problems including low self-esteem, distorted body image and later on even an eating disorder emoticon

I've been dealing with trying to get a healthy body and mind for a LONG TIME!!! Lot's of YO-YO dieting and exercising! I got motivated, got to my goal and then slipped up and went back to my old ways. Monsters in my head always won over me! I'm very frustrated and tired of all this and I'm ready for some permanent lifestyle changes! My new journey starts now, but the main step will be to continue and learn to maintain once I reach my goal!

If you can relate to anything I wrote above, or just need some motivation and support, please join in! Share you story!

I hope to make some great accountability and support buddies on here so that we can stick together and stay strong and motivated!
thanks!

Hello,

I was reading your post and found it very interesting. I understand how you feel. My weight constantly fluctuates up and down. I try to eat right, but I tend to eat more and eat the wrong things when I'm stressed.

I had lost close to 20 lbs earlier this year, but I've now gained all that back plus some. You have already taken the first step, that's staying motivated. You've already made a commitment to get into the best shape of your life. You have to keep your confidence level high. I know you mentioned that you suffer from self-esteem issues. If you have the chance, please read the book, You Can Heal Your Life] It will boost your self-esteem and confidence levels. It will also make you strong mentally. It has definitely changed me for the better.

I don't have the Les Mills workout yet, but it looks like a great program. I just started another round of Insanity Nov. 5th. We can motivate each other. Good Luck and keep me posted on your progress.

Hello, Angela!
Thanks for replying…I looked at your pictures and your transformation looks amazing! emoticon It would be great to motivate each other!!!
I'm happy to hear that someone else is going through the same ups and downs as I have experienced!

Thank you for the book recommendation! I actually read it few years ago and listen to Hayhouse radio religiously emoticon Luise Hay is a great inspiration.
I've been working on my issues very hard this year, went to therapy, read a lot of books. I am definitely feeling much better about myself these days and that's exactly why I'm feeling so excited to start this program and hopefully get to the results I want AND keep them for a lifetime! But this will take work and this is exactly why I'm seeking out support of others.

How was your first week back on Insanity?
How do you like it so far?

If there is anyone else out there who is dealing with "demons" in their head that are causing you to Yo-yo in your diet and exercise please join in! No matter what program you are doing! It would be great to build a nice support network to help with our daily struggles emoticon
thanks!!!

I just started Pump on Nov 5th also. I have been doing ok with the workouts for now but I need a motivator also. As I read your statement about who you are... I related very much. I have never liked myself or felt I was worthy to be liked but I now have a three year old daughter that I am raising alone and I know I need this more then ever. I would love to have someone to bounce stuff off of during this transformation!! please contact me or add me or whatever the next step is... it is all new to me on hereemoticon

Thanks

BEcky

Hello Anya,

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. My first week back on Insanity was pretty tough but I made it through. I'm already seeing progress in Week 3. I will be on week 4 next week. I love Insanity because Shaun has a way of making you push yourself to the limits. I know I will get good results if I follow the program and my diet. I'm usually not so good at keeping up with the nutrition aspect, although I do try. I'm going to really try harder to stick as close as possible to the nutrition plan this time. I'm a pretty picky eater and sometimes it's hard to use some of the recipes in the book. First of all, I hate cheese and in addition, I'm lactose intolerant, so I even have problems eating yogurt. I do use almond milk as a replacement and soy milk occasionally. Well, enough of me ranting and raving. I hope you are having the same success with Les Mills that I am. Keep me posted. emoticon

Hello,

How is Les Mills Pump going? This is my last week of Insanity. Saturday will be day 63. I'm thinking about buying the Less Mills pump program.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Angela
