Coach anyone?
11/8/12 11:45 AM
Hi! I am interested in becoming a coach, I'm not really interested in the financial aspect but more for the discount as I love BB supplements! I am also looking for a coach. I really would like to find someone who has like minded interests in fitness and goals. Also for someone who is genuinely interested in fitness and helping others, and not so much in the money aspect of being a coach (even though that is a plus!).

I am a military mama of 3 kiddos. Me and my hubby joined beach body a couple of years ago. We have been on and off P90X this whole time, we do a lot of varied things. I've lost over 45 pounds since my last was born (2010). I eat Paleo and I love P90X!! Its one of my favorite workouts! I also run and dabble in crossfit/bootcamp/MA classes as well. We've had a lot of obstacles as a family and also for myself in the past two years thanks to injury and surgery, but I've still managed to lose most of my baby-weight and tone up. Both me and my hubby have came a long way in two years. I still have a small amount in my belly and that is my ultimate goal is to have a total six-pack and ripped every where else. emoticon Fitness keeps me healthy and sane. I love it! I want to do more..and push my body more! One of my other goals is to train for a marathon sometime in the future. I wanna be the parent who runs circles around my kids when I am 70. Me and my 3yr old who is a cancer survivor (go babygirl!!) run together and she just ran in her first 5k race not long ago..she takes it very seriously.

Would like to find a coach who is a runner and maybe even someone who does competitions (bodybuilding) as I've always been interested in that...or does both!! emoticon

Thanks!!

You should be getting about two dozens posts soon. Go to everyone's bio home page and read up on them.

I personaly prefer Coach Wayne of teamripped. He was coach of the year. You won't find him here. Just google teamripped.

Awesome guy.

I'll be the first to throw my name in the bucket to be your coach. I feel like we've had a similar path (although I did not give birth to any kids). A few years ago I had lost a lot of weight and have been able to keep it off using Beachbody programs like P90X, P90X2, Insanity, Asylum Volumes 1 & 2, and a few other programs. I've also experienced a number of injuiries (2 knee surgeries, 1 hand surgery, tennis elbow, to name a few) along the way. None of them have stopped me. I took the time to recover and come back stronger then before.

I've always had an interest in fitness. I'm certainly not an expert, but I feel that I've read and learned enough that I can make an educated decision and often useful advice. To build on my education, I recently completed the P90X Certification a couple of months ago.

You're also looking for someone who is a runner. I'll do races, mostly 5K or 10K. One of my best friends has completed several marathons, so I'll always have access to her if you have running questions.

I don't meet your request for a body builder because that was never my goal. I've always tried to be more lean and athletic since I play a lot of sports (probably the cause of all the injuries).

Absolutley agree, at least two dozen responses rolling in. Coachedthompson said it best, check out our profiles and see if you connect with anyone in particular.
Myself, I have recently become a coach, this past August, but have been involved with Beachbody programs since 2008. I wish I started earlier as I would have saved a fortune on programs and recovery mixes...Haha.
My sponsoring coach, Sandy mixes it up with beachbody and running and she, like myself are pretty laid back on the pressure side of the coaching business.
I'll drop you a buddy invite and e-mail you some more details so you can make a more informed decision.

Hi!

Hawaii?! I live on Molokai. Born and raised most of my life in Honolulu. How about you?

Prayers, thoughts, support, and love for you and your baby girl.

When I first started out a year ago, I was a discount coach. Only recently did I want to actively start helping, supporting, and motivating others on a lifetime journey. I have done TurboFire, ChaLEAN Extreme, and Insanity. I used to HATE running, but since doing Beachbody, I have found a passion for it. One of my goals is to get into a fitness competition. So I'm doing research on availability in Hawaii as well as what it takes to be in a competition.

I would blabber on more but this isn't about me. It is about you and your family. If you would like, you are welcome to check out my bio for more information.

That is fantastic that you want to be a Coach! You want to be one for all the right reasons. Thank you and your husband for your service. I love P90X too! emoticon I am certified to teach it. I am training for a my first marathon emoticon I ran a 1/2 last year. It tough, but a great goal!

That is completely wonderful about you and your daughter. Thank god she is ok and you are setting a great example for her. Getting your kids involved is so important.

If you have any questions I would be happy to help. I LOVE coaching. My Goal is to help everyone achieve their goals. What they want is what is important.

Go Team! emoticon

Boy!!! Look at everyone sprouting up like peacocks trying to get you to pick them!!! Good luck in your search for the right sponsor!!

Getting with the right team is very important. Making sure they are there to support you and your business. Making sure there is proper training for you.

Choose wisely, once your choice is made the only way out of it is to quit coaching for 6 months.

Great to see you post! I hope things are calming down. How is your day going? I got in my first pain free run after being I injured in soccer. When are you thinking of running your marathon?

The program you choose depends on your goals. I have done P90X and P90X2- really enjoyed the last phase of P90X2.PAP lower rocked! I have also done TF, Pump, Insanity, Revabs, TMT among others so I would be happy to discuss programs with you. Are you looking for more cardio? Weights? Feel free to message me. I sent you a buddy invite. You like the intense workouts so Insanity may be a good choice. It's a workout that you then can hybrid with many of the other programs.

I have always wanted to go to HI. I am scuba certified so its one of my dreams. I have a friend who has lived there for work after we graduated together. We just got back from Wyoming and Yellowstone which had some awesome hiking.
Whoever you chose just from your posts I know you will Rock it!

Keep Pressing Play!

Everything is going great here just so busy with the holidays coming up and family flying in very soon! I won't be able to train for quite a while actually. I am recovering from kidney stone surgery. It wouldn't have been such a bad recovery but I decided to run/walk the Color run, which is a 5k with my lil girl 2 weeks post-op. Needless to say, that was a BAD idea, but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat just so see my lil girl run. emoticon Its been about 3.5 weeks post op, now and I am still on a lot of rest and sometimes pain medication. emoticon I'm pretty sad about it...I have learned the hard way that kidneys are no joke! BUT I am walking more and more every day. I hope soon to incorporate some lifting with some of the P90X workouts and then eventually get back into running and doing my mix of lifting and mix of classes I take at the gym. So no running for me for probably a while. :''(

I love to run its one thing that makes me feel on top of the world! A marathon is on my bucket list for sure. I have so many other fitness interests I will need to find a way to do it all!

Yes me too..it has been nice though lately. I love it here I don't think we're ever gonna leave! ;)

I'm not sure I want a total cardio based program I get enough of that in my classes at the gym and running. I really like weights though. Maybe some yoga!! I definitely need more of that in my life. If you caught my above post I'm not going to be doing much in the way of fitness in the next few weeks so at least I have some time to think about it. My goals atm are to get better first and foremost and then I REALLY need to shed that last little bit of baby belly and I really want to bulk up and a stronger core. I've had 3 c-sections and my core isn't as strong as it used to be. I want a 6 pack..its on my list of things to do before I die!!! emoticon

That must have been so wonderful to do that with you daughter. The color run looks pretty awesome. I know how frustrating not working out to the intensity you want can be. I got injured in soccer in September- I got kicked just below my left knee. Negative fracture- but likely a really bad bone bruise. I can usually shake things off and keep playing but this was different. I learned a lot about modifying exercises fot myself which built on what I learned in P90X certification. I could no major cardio, was on crutches for 2 weeks (I am sure I could have won america’s funny videoes with me on crutches!). I could not run which really made me sad! I was patient and did P90X upper body exercises and I was just able to run my first pain free run on Sat and play soccer on Sunday. Got my turbofire on this morning! emoticon I know you are frustrated, but your body needs to heal as you know. Kidney stones are rough, I had a friend have them and she was in a lot of pain. Surgery affects tissues and those cells need time to do their work to decrease inflammation and heal. I am a vet (those dogs and cats are not good post-op patient lol, they always want to play!) and work in human cardiovascular research. You WILL get back, just take the time you need!

Haha no, my name is not Christina, I somehow managed to make a mess of the quote feature. emoticon

The Color Run was awesome!! I encourage everyone to go do that race it wasn't a serious one at all but just for fun. So much silly energy and people watching involved. It was a big deal to watch my lil one run after all she has been through. It was her saying "take that Cancer!! I'm gonna do whatever I want to do in life and you are not going to stop me!!" She is a strong little girl and I'm super excited that she is taking after her mama and LOVES to run! emoticon

Yes it is frustrating I just want to get on with it and get back to my life. I am healing up though we took a family walk last night and I felt so great we ended up walking well over a mile in about 45 minutes and I had no pain..and no pain meds yesterday! Yay!! Progress..emoticon I am SO happy about it!

I have P90X and P90X2. I REALLY love my P90X its just a great all around workout I never get tired of. We have never got around to really consistently getting into P90X2. As for cardio most of my cardio that I do is running..sometimes elliptical and lots of classes that are kind of like a bootcamp/crossfit mix and other classes that involved kicking and punching heavy bags. emoticon I do not enjoy anything that involves jumping up and down. I injured my ankle and knee about 2 years ago so now I still have to be careful what I do. Kicking bags sometimes still aggravate it. I almost never do the Plyo dvd.. I will have to check out Insanity and Aslyum and see. If Aslyum has weights then I'm all for that.

Yes, I have my grandmother and MIL coming in very soon. So hectic around here!! Thanks so much for your encouragement!

You take care of yourself! You and your daughter are strong gals! Her being in the color run must have been special and exciting especially with COLORS! My friend and her daughter went to Oahu for the color run. I'm keeping my eye out for the next one.

Insanity and Asylum have jumping--all kinds of jumping jacks, high jumps, vertical jumps. Might not be good for your knee and ankle.

Have a great time with family! Only today did I realize thanksgiving is next week! Oh boy.

Have a great evening.

Hey! I'm sure I am too late, but I just saw your post! I honestly hope that you hook up with the right coach! It can make all the difference. I am a coach and both my husband and I are in the military emoticon He is actually in Afghanistan right now... I am home with 3 toddlers, so I know how you feel on that front! I did not become a coach to make money....I really just believe in these programs and want to tell everyone I know about them! My husband and I have both done P90X and Insanity. He has done some of P90X2, but this deployment kind of halted that. I am finishing my second round of Insanity this week and moving on to Asylum in a week or so emoticon

My husband and I both love to run....the past year has been a little tough though. We have been doing more of the Mud Runs and Obstacle course stuff lately, which I love! He would rather just run, but I drag him to the Mud Runs emoticon

As for my journey....I had 3 kids in 2 years ( twins the 2nd time emoticon ) and gained weight! My husband deployed when my twins were 7 weeks old and that made it even harder for me to shower, much less workout emoticon I deployed to Iraq the next year and now he is in Afghanistan this year.....makes it hard. We are both still working out and trying hard to get back to OUR pre-baby bodies. This year, when I got home from Iraq, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, got really sick and hospitalized and then had surgery to remove the thyroid. That pretty much erased all the progress I had made the year before emoticon Anyway, Insanity has kicked me back into gear and I am moving in the right direction again. That

I have been a coach myself for several months now- we have a private Facebook group for fellow coaches with a lot of training and support for new coaches. We actually have two Coaching groups from our upline coaches, so lots of resources. We have our own training program in addition to the Beachbody Training Academy, which you will get access to once you sign up.

Anyway, I would love to help you and hook you up with additional resources and support. If you have any questions along the way, please feel free to add me as a Buddy and I would love to help you in any way I can- even if you choose another coach! The one thing you will learn quickly is that Beachbody is like a family and we all want each other to succeed, so please don't hesitate to bounce stuff off me!

I hope to hear from you in the future...even just to hear about how your coaching journey is going. It is also always good to meet other military families.

Good luck in your journey,
Jenn Putnam

Although you've already had responses, I thought I would throw my name out there too.

A little about me,...

My name is Sherrie! I am an RN, living in beautiful Penticton, BC, Canada. I am happily married to my soulmate. We have 2 daughters aged 14 & almost 4. I am a relatvely NEW coach, but I am very active and involved with my team. I have been VERY successful with my fitness journey and have been working out to Beachbody Programs for an entire year!! I am a completely changed person and it's all because of TeamBeachbody! I am completely dedicated to living a fit and healthy lifestyle and want to help others achieve and maintain the same. I became a coach, because I truly believe in TeamBeachbody and KNOW that it works if you are committed to getting the results you desire and have a great team beside you. Fitness programs, Nutrition Support, & Coach\Team support = SUCCESS!! I am also part of an AMAZING up-line team full of Coaches and Team Members dedicated to motivating and supporting one another!!! . We have private facebook groups dedicated to our team.

Take a look at my profile and see if I am THE someone you are looking for! I would love to have a coach with the same visions as i have..... to truly change people's lives!!

Hope we can work together!

~Sherrie
