Is it a bad idea to do an Insanity workout (or any cardio workout for that matter) while I'm sick with the cold? I hate just sitting around doing nothing.

i wouldnt say its a "bad" idea. most ppl dont feel like working out when they're sick but if your up for it i would go for it. ive heard of ppl doing their workouts with colds before. dont except to be able to push yourself as much as you would when your not sick though.

Personally I would not recommend it. Your body is weak and is using all of its energy to bolster your immune defense, When you work out, you are robbing the energy from this process to do your workout. Hence you may be causing the cold to hang out longer. Also, by exhausting your body, you are giving the cold a chance to either overtake your immune defense and become something worse or to just hang around longer. I can speak from personal experience and also being in the medical field.

So I went the rest/recover route. I'm just about over whatever it was I had and it turns out I lost about 4 lbs, which I'm assuming was muscle or water weight.
