New to TurboFire - how to start?
newbie turbo fire prep schedule
11/10/12 11:37 AM
Hi,

I just got my Turbo Fire package and I'm really excited but I'm not sure where to start it.
Do I need to do the prep schedule that's in the book or do I go to the schedule printed separately?

Thanks!

If you have received the fire starter pack, you should start with that. If not just start with the prep schedule.

Hi!

Well that all depends! What is your current fitness level?! Have you been exercising/working out regularly already? Whet kind of exercising do you fo and how long do you spend each day? (eg. 3 days a week, 30 mins a day, cardio) Did you get the starter pack (with fire starter)? Have you done her Turbo Jam (that helps a lot!!)

Turbo Fire is an amazing program! It is intense, but can be modified! There is a prep schedule in the book, as well as, the 12 or 20 week schedule.
Chalene has Alee, in every class, modifying the entire program emoticon She also provides a new to class option for all the Fire classes in order to get a sneak peek at the entire workout, where she slows it down to show you the moves emoticon There are so many great things about Chalene and Turbo Fire.. You just need to know where your fitness level is at and know to modify when you need to, and take rests when you need to, and progress at YOUR own level!

Im a crazy TurboFire Fanatic so I hope you love it as much as I do! Don't give up & keep pushing play emoticon Good Luck with your journey!!

Coach Sherrie

P.S. I have a thread going if you'd like to join... It's for anyone who's doing TurboFire emoticon

Hope to see you there emoticon

Hi! TF addict here! emoticon you are going to love it! You do not need to do the prep schedule. Going through the new to class on the videos helps you learn the moves. It took me a few workouts to get them ok. Even if you Jess up you are having fun and by burning calories!

What is your goal with TF? Have you done a Chalene workout before? What made you pick it?

Did you get the schedule with your package?

Happy to help with any questions!! I moderate a support thread if interested!

Cheers,
Christina

Hi,

Thank you all for your reposes. I guess I should have put more information about myself.
I am new to the whole Beach Body experience. I am very inconsistent with my exercising. I can be really good for a month and exercise 3-4 time per week but then I feel discouraged with lack of visible results and stop doing anything altogether. I did not think I was in a bad shape, but after doing the Turbo Fire yesterday it completely kicked my butt. I wanted to jump right into the schedule, but then I saw the prep schedule and I got confused.

I am new also. I just got my turnbofire yesterday through the Groupon coupon. I have been working out at the gym but needed something I could do at home when I did not have time to go to the gym so this was a good solutions. I was thinking the same thing about where to start. I now have a good idea that I will start with the instructional classes until I get the hang of it and then move forward.

Hi Christina,

I did mess up a lot during my first exercise , but I know it will take me time to get it. I don't get frustrated about that. Hopefully it will not take me too long to get the moves.
I have never done any of Chalene's workouts. I'm completely new to Beach Body. My goal is to loose about 20 pounds that creeped up on me in the last few years and to tone up. I picked TurboFire because it looked fun. I have done some Jazzercise classes before and I liked it, but wanted something I could do at home and with much higher intensity. I was also considering Insanity but I was scared. I did not want to get discouraged because it's too hard. Eventually, I saw the TurboFire deal on Groupon, which was perfect timing for me.

Thanks for your response. I look forward to exploring the message boards and I'll definitely check out your thread too.
