HI There, Yvette!! My computer is hopefully back to normal! LOL Yes, that's exactly where I'm at, too. I know for me there will never be a "best" time...NOW is the best time. So, I've decided to jump in with both feet even if it IS the holiday season. WE can DO THIS! emoticon Do you know of anyone else who might want to join us? The more, the merrier.

My Les Mills Pump program should be in early this week along with my Shakeology. Are you using that, too?

I look forward to getting to know you and working as a team to help support each other through this challenge.

Hey Tania and Yvette! emoticon I'm starting Les Mills Pump on the 26th too. Woot! So glad you've started a thread! I just had my fourth baby in August and am ready to lose the weight I gained plus a few extra. 47lbs to be exact. ;)

I've always found that posting in a message board while doing the Beachbody programs helps me stay accountable and I find motivation from others in the same boat. I look forward to doing this program with you!

Hello, ladies!

I'm starting Les Mills Pump on Monday the 26th as well and would love to join you all! I completed ChaLEAN Extreme a couple of weeks ago, and I'm currently in my 3rd week of the Reset (and frankly, missing a more strenuous workout!) I'm looking to lose about 40 lbs more.

Did you all get your programs? I only ordered the basic program and am planning to work in the ChaLEAN Extreme deluxe dvds for cardio, and spinning at the gym as well. I'm excited!

Hi Cristy:

Welcome. Glad you joined us. I completely know where you're coming from. I have 9 children and being pg can really do a number on you.

I'm also looking for that accountability as well. I really need it to keep me focused as I'm not "addicted" to exercise YET. emoticon Can't wait to get started though.

Welcome Christy!! Glad you joined us!!

I did a reset in May and LOVED IT! It wasn't easy as I had to pack all my stuff with me "just in case" we got stuck out in town. I live in a "rural" part of a Montana city...LOL.

I haven't received my program yet and getting a little bit nervous since I paid for 2 day shipping. I hope that didn't get messed up somehow. I like CLX too, but more the weight training. I have exercise induced asthma, so something like these that focus on lifting are better for me. But I'm determined that one day I WILL complete Insanity. LOL

Looking forward to helping each other out and working to achieve our goals.

Welcome to the club ladies! Two Christy's! I'm glad we have our team growing. emoticon

I have had my Pump videos for about a month or so but things kept getting in the way of me starting. But I'm ready to get going. I too want to lose a total of 50 lbs. I'm shooting for a "short" goal of 30 lbs. But 50 would be ideal.

It is going to be a challenge, but I was going through the workout schedule last night and was getting excited. I tried to envision myself in each stage and the progress I can make.

I'm glad we're here to support each other! What times do you all plan to workout? Mornings? Evenings? Or whatever time works best?

I'm planning on working out in the morning because I know "life" will get in the way if I don't just get it done. All in all, I'm looking to lose about 80-90 lbs. Maybe more maybe less, it depends on how I look. I know muscle weighs more then fat, so I'm not super concerned with weight. I want to lose fat.

Yvette: Visualization is a great technique.

Just curious...why do each of you want to get fit/lose weight, etc.?

Good morning!

Awesome to see the team growing! emoticon

Yvette, I typically work out in the morning. I totally agree with Tania that life will get in the way if I don't. My intentions to work out in the evening are always good, but inevitably one of my kids will need me or something will pop up and I can't get to it. If I wake up early, I have no excuse plus it's great to get out of the way and I love the energy a morning workout gives me.

Of course it's easy to type all that since it's been a looong time since I've gotten up to work out! LOL emoticon

My goal is to lose 57lbs. I thought it was 47 but did the math and it's 57. I just had my fourth baby in August and I have lots to tone back up again. I've never been one to have a flat stomach, so that's not my goal. I just want to feel healthy again, fit into my old clothes, and have some confidence back. Right now I feel so fat and out of shape and unhappy with myself, it's weighing me down a great deal. I'd also like to get back into running and participating in races. I was really into them before the pregnancy and now I doubt I could run half a mile without being winded.

That's a great question Tania, thank you for asking. Being honest is a good step toward reaching goals. I admit I am totally unhappy and out of shape now. So, time to fix that!

Hopefully the program will arrive tomorrow so I can look through it. I've never worked with a barbell before! I'm autoscheduled though, woohoo!!

I too plan to workout in the AM for the same reasons you ladies mentioned. I have to be comletely honest with myself and I know I start to make excuses throughout the day, and eventually the workout just doesn't get done. The only tough part is I am not a morning person. I absolutely despise waking up super early...unless I'm going to Disneyland lol
So I will really have to push myself, but I know it can be done emoticon

I am doing this to finally realize my potential. I am not getting any younger, and I want to be healthy and proud of myself while I'm relatively young. Also even though I am overweight I am "healthy", meaning I don't have high cholesterol or blood pressure, and my blood sugar is good. But I am very afraid of developing these diseases. Many in my family have these problems and I don't want to go down the same road. And bottom line I'm just plain tired of TALKING about losing weight and want to actually DO it!!

Good morning, ladies!

As Cristy said, it's great to see our little group grow! I'm SUPER excited to start Les Mills Pump with all of you! This is day 17 on the Ultimate Reset for me, and to be honest, I'm anxious to be done! Tomorrow is going to be tough...

I plan to work out in the mornings as well, but not first thing. I get up at 6 am and get the kids off to school, then I can work out. I work mostly from home, so I can be flexible with the time if I need to, as long as I get everything done! And like you all mentioned, if I wait until later in the day to work out, it's much easier to skip it.

As to my "why"...well, I gained a lot of weight during my pregnancies, and the second time around I didn't lose all of it. In fact, I gained more! At one point I was 10 lbs heavier than when I was 9 months pregnant. NOT cute. I worked out to Power 90, Slim in 6, and Turbo Jam off an on several years ago, and lost some weight, but it wasn't until I joined my coach's BB challenge group this past summer that I really dialed into the process. I completed ChaLEAN Extreme, and lost 12 lbs, and so far I've lost 8 lbs on the Reset. I still have 40 lbs or so more that I'd like to lose, but it depends on my body composition and how I look. As Tania mentioned, I'm not really concerned with a number on the scale, it's more about fat loss for me, and getting to a healthy body fat percentage. emoticon

Have a wonderful day, ladies! And WELCOME new peeps!

Hi Ladies:

I am so excited to see this group growing. Welcome to all the "new" girls. Glad you could join us. I got confirmation that my program should be here today. I am SOOOO happy. I know it's time to take my pictures and measurements but I'm dreading that. Oh well, there is something to be said for facing your fears, right?!! emoticon

For me, I think I have many reasons to do this. First and foremost, I feel like...well, I'm sure you ladies can figure that out. LOL Drained of energy, not wanting to move. And with 5 kids still living at home and running 4 businesses, I NEED energy. The second "why" for me is because my husband deserves a wife that looks her best and is as healthy as she can be. To do less than that is robbing him of the blessing I am supposed to be. Third is for my kids...they deserve a mom who is healthy and can play with them the way they need. They also need a good example not just for eating habits, but for determination in life and honoring God with their bodies. Five would be the challenge! I completed the Ultimate Reset back in May and it was probably the first eating program or whatever you want to call it that I had ever finished in my life! Which brings me to reason number six...I love praise and appreciation, plain pure and simple. It really made me feel like I accomplished something when I got the "high fives" from my husband, kids, and friends when I finished the Reset. And probably last, but not least, I want to be the example and helper for others going through the same struggles...that I can be their inspiration and motivation.

So...that's me in a nutshell...sort of. emoticon

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Welcome Jenn! Any advice for us newbies as we get started with LMP?!?!

Tania, congratulations on finishing the Reset. It's definitely no easy task. I started it a few weeks ago but my father passed away in the middle of it - so that was the end of that. I jumped right back into emotional eating. That's something I really have to be careful of.

I love reading everybody's reasons for wanting to be fit and healthy. My mother had type two diabetes, so that is definitely something I also want to avoid. Especially since I carry weight around my middle and that's a definite trigger for the disease.

My Les Mills Pump was supposed to be delivered to my husband's work yesterday but no one was there, so they didn't leave it! Aargh. According to FedEx tracking, they'll try again tomorrow. I'm getting slightly anxious because I really want it in hand so I can look over everything and be totally prepared for Monday. I hate last minute rushing!

Have a fantastic day team! So much to be thankful for. emoticon

Hi Everyone,

I'd love to join the group - I need something to keep me accountable!

I started Les Mills 3 weeks ago, did one week and then starting feeling sick (sore throat, achey body, that sort of thing) so put it on hold until I felt better. Well....I'm feeling better now! I've circled Nov 26th as my start date so this challenge group is perfect. Altho I won't be re-doing the beginner workouts, but that's OK. And I'm incorporating Turbo Fire into my cardio days.

My reasons for doing this are basically to tone up. I don't have much weight to lose, about 10 lbs, but I have a LOT of toning up to do. Specifically my lower body. I wanted to start with the low weights/hi reps of Les Mills and see what my results are like, and then maybe move to the hi weights/low reps of Chalean Extreme afterwards. I just want to focus on this program for now, see what it does for me, and then adjust my workouts from there.

I'd love to work out in the morning...if you are a morning exerciser, please let me know how you do it!! I am not a morning person, and I would always be able to work out at night but for a while now, I just can't do it anymore...my energy level is just not there. (Sounds so whine-y and excuse-y!) Anyway, I'll definitely do my best!

Can't wait to start!

Linda

Good morning! The countdown is on, woohoo! My package with the program arrived yesterday so I'll be able to start with everybody right on schedule. I am going to go through it today and watch the BASICS dvd so I'll get started right.

Linda, it's been a long time since I've gotten up early to workout but when I was in the habit of it pre-pregnancy, it became second nature and I did it for 2 years. I came to LOVE my early morning 'me' time. Sure, there were mornings I struggled with it but I learned to 'make' myself get out of bed. Sometimes I'd even go to bed with my sportsbra on, ready to go! That energy level that isn't there WILL come if you stick to it.

My baby is 12 weeks now and has a pretty good sleeping schedule so I *should* be able to get up at 5 and get my workout in. That's my plan at least! I like to log my workouts in WOWY for the added accountability/motivation of seeing others working out too.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Cristy

I am a morning workout person. I set my alarm for 4:30 and get up and get it done before work, while all the kids are still sleeping. If I wait until night/evening there is always something going on with the kids sports, homework, etc. I save my walking for evenings before dinner. I think its better to just get up and get it done in the morning.
