I work out at 4 am every morning. I don't eat before I work out. I am on my second round of P90X, and I am doing a hybrid with Insanity. I get up, put on my workout clothes and hit the floor running. I have plenty of energy to get through the workouts. But this is me personally. I also did the full 60 days of Insanity, early in the morning on an empty stomach.
I do make sure that I get a good 7 hours of sleep. If I am really hungry before bed, I may have a small snack of a piece of fruit, or some greek yogurt. If I feel really drained in the morning, I will have a bite of peanut butter, and maybe some banana.
The only way to know is to give it a try. I love working out in the morning. It fuels my entire day. I feel great, and because I have already worked out, I tend to make better nutrition choices. I have a thread going for motivation and accountability, stop by and check it out, for
