Any food that fits the 50-30-20 or I have to stick to the NP?
Hi!

I have a question regarding the type of food I can eat. I am about to move to Phase II because I am already really lean but my question is for any phase.

I notice in the guide that there are certain foods which repeat over and over and that helps when you need to divide your calories but it also can get somehow boring and restricted. My question is, if I measure every food and they fall into my daily plan (for example 50-30-20), is it OK to eat them or I have to stick only to the food in the list?

Using MyFitnessPal it makes really easy to measure food, is that a viable option?

Thanks again for all the help, I been asking a lot lately (sorry about that) emoticon

Feel free to branch out. You should pay attention to the quality of your food, too, not just the macronutrients. Here's an example why: A large, organic honeycrisp apple has the same amount of carbs, roughly, as 8 ounces of Coca cola. Obviously, they are not the same nutritionally. Eat simple, fresh natural foods. Avoid processed foods. With those basic guidelines you'll do great.

Thanks a lot for your answer. I feel much more confortable selecting my own food than following strictly the Nutritional Guide (although many times I end up with similar food) but it feels like I understand better what I am eating.

I will test this with my new phase, thanks a lot.

You are welcome. Those recipes are there as examples and for inspiration. They're not meant to be limiting.
