Should I switch to P90X Energy Booster diet?
Hi everyone

Yesterday was my 30th day of P90X, and I can say I am done with Phase I. I posted my results here My results pics

I am 31, 5'10". Before starting P90X my weight was 183lbs and at 30days it is currently 176lbs. My primary goal is to lose the extra weight and build muscle. I've been consuming aout 1850 to 1900 cals per day and I pretty much followed the P90X diet fat shredder plan pretty closely. So my question is should I switch to the Energy booster diet now, should I also increase my calorie intake?a What do you guys think?

Hi oels!

Great results so far! I checked out your post. Just based on your numbers, your calories seem a little low. What does the nutrition guide give you as a calorie range? Are you tracking? Been following the ratios for the fat shredder? Switching depends on your goals and how you feel during workouts. How do you feel? You should not stay in fat shredder more than 6 weeks ideally.

Happy to help!

Cheers,

Hey thanks for your response!
I actually feel good after my work outs, maybe a little beat after plyometrics but other than that not too bad. My goal is to lose the extra fat I still have and build muscle. So you're suggesting switching to the energy booster diet and increase my calorie intake? So far, as I said I've been very closely following the fat shredder plan with 50/30/20 ratio and about 1900 calories.

Great progress man! You can switch it up for sure and see how you like it. Maybe go up to 2200 at 40/40/20 on workout days. And do 1700 on rest or yoga days at 50/30/20

That'll keep you lean as you get more muscular and ripped and give you some extra boost in your workouts. Maybe you can add in a pre workout with some caffeine to help metabolize more fat stores. Ever train fasted before too? That also helps. (I love it!)

E&E is a good pre workout from Beachbody, or C4 from your local supp shop or amazon.

Could you please share your fat shredder diet of about 1850 calories? I'm on the same diet as you at the same calorie target and I'm having trouble hitting my macros. Thanks

Definitely switch now. If you feel like your weight is where you want it to be now then you can increase the calories.
