Been sick two weeks....should I start over??
Ok this will actually make week 3 of me being sick!! Doc said to take it easy this week. I havea norrible chest cold. I should be starting week 3. I am a runner as well...4-5 miles a few times a week. I am doing Turbo Fire to tone up my body. Should I start over at the beginning? I will start back up Nov 26. Just need some advice. I don't consider myself out of shape. I have been working out for a few years...running, Insanity, eating right and so on. I am 136 now and would like to get to 130....but it just isn't happening. lol For all you coaches out there, do you think I would benefit more from starting over or is it ok to keep going? Thanks!!!

I'm sorry to hear you've been sick. I just got over a cold and it took 2 weeks. Since you're a runner and have done other Beachbody programs I would say that you probably fine to just keep going, but since you just started the Turbo Fire program you may want to start over when you feel up to it just to get the program on the days you want.

These colds set us back a bit but since you have been keeping in shape you'll bounce back quickly once back "on your feet".

Feel better soon.

Donna

Hi!! Thank you SO much for you and your husband service. It so very appreciated.

I am a runner too and doing TF emoticon I think anything with a deep chest cold would make me want to rest. oxygen is key and any high intesne workouts can be stressful. I would listen to your doctor. it will be much better to get fully better so you can then push yourself.

How far are you into TF? Week 3? I think if you just started, starting over would be good. How long have you been plateaued? How is your nutrition? How is your sleeping?

Happy to help!
Cheers,
Christina

Hey!

Congrats on having 2 kids and finding time to work out! emoticon Very impressive! I noticed ya'll are in Japan? How do you like it? Thank you and your husband for supporting our country. My cousin and his wife are going to Africa in 2013 with the Air Force.

I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well. I agree--just take it easy until you feel better. If you are going stir crazy you could do Stretch 40 or Core 20 to help keep your mind off it. Since you are already fit and in the habit of healthy choices, I would just start where you left off. Remember, it isn't about doing everything PERFECT, it's about being consistent in your healthy habits! emoticon Is your main goal weight loss? You can always keep a healthy diet and that will help you maintain/increase your results. Do you know how many calories you should be eating? I use the TurboFire formula and myfitnesspal to keep up with mine. Are you on myfitnesspal? I'm brainybabe if you are emoticon

How do you like Insanity compared to TF so far? They are so different but both so intense!!

Feel better and I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!!

I totally prefer Turbo Fire!! I love the music emoticon But Insanity is something I an do with my husband. After TF I plan on doing a round of Insanity for sure. emoticon We like Japan....only problem is I am a licensed nurse and can not work here. They only accept Corpsman. So I will sit here for 3 years and not work. Lots of time to workout and take care of my babies emoticon

I went ahead and started week 3 yeaterday. emoticon It was rough but well worth it!!! I am sick but not dying emoticon I used to bea bigger person so I hate to skip a workout. I gain muscle super fast so as soon as I start working out I gain weight. I have been down for 2 weeks and lost 3 lbs from not working the muscle I had gained. My nutrition is good....it could be better emoticon My husband hates veggies so that makes cooking harder. I eat great while he is at work and then meat and potatoes kinda stuff at night. I have done shakeology and after a couple of months just chose to give it up. Too much moeny for no change really. Thanks for the advice emoticon

Cool! I did TF class EZ 55 this morning. emoticon Love it! Burned 468 caloried. Thats tough being away and not being able to work. I am a vet and my husband was looking into going overseas for his work. My license only works certain countries.

Keep me posted!

TurboFire's music makes it my favorite too--but I can definitely see how it isn't man-friendly. emoticon "PUMP IT!!!" It's nice that you can stay at home with your kids and that they get to experience Japan. What kind of nurse were you? I am a high school teacher, and I have a few students that are in A&P and I am so impressed/in over my head with it! lol!! Have you thought about doing an Insanity/TurboFire hybrid? I have one and it's SO tough but so much fun since it's somehting new each day

How TurboFire going this week? Are you feeling 100% now? A lot of the teachers and kids at school are sick right now--I'm washing my hands, taking my vitamins and praying I don't catch it! :p I hope you are feeling better!
