Hey everyone! I'm on my 7th day of Insanity and I think I hurt my knee somehow. My knees usually click and snap all the time and stuff but I figured I was healthy enough for Insanity, and so far I love it. I do my squats right, but yesterday during the Plyometric Circuit I think I hurt my knee. Any pressure on it (standing/sitting/walking) causes pain. I don't know whats wrong. Has this happened to anyone else? I wanna continue Insanity, I just don't want knee problems emoticon Trying to figure out if I should just not do squats or power jumps? Thanks!

sorry to hear about your knee problems. I needed to stop doing Plyo (P90X) because it was too much on my knees. I substituted Cardio X instead. I also use a knee brace and it helps a lot. Have you tried one?

I would let it rest before doing another intense workout. I cant say what's wrong and wont give advance on it, but would say to rest it, and if you doesnt get better consult your doctor. I will say that many times people have problems with knees because the muscles holding the knee cap in place are too weak to hold it. A knee brace helps and as your muscles get stronger it improves.

My question to you is did you hurt it while working out or did it start bothering you later on or the next day? A lot of the time knee pain can be caused from patellar tendonitis. This can be caused from your IT band. If you have a foam roller....do some corrective stretching by rolling your quads, IT Band, hips. See if this helps If you still get pain after corrective stretching, you could have ligament damage.

Try icing after your workouts. Also, make sure you are doing squats correctly by putting weight through your heels ( lift toes if you need to ). Make sure knees are in line right over your toes, head up.
