What Next After P90X? P90X Plus or P90X2?
What Next After P90X? P90X Plus or P90X2?

As I enter month three of P90X this weekend, I'm already thinking of what Beachbody program I want to do next. Should do another round of P90X with P90X Plus or go straight to P90X2? I would love thoughts from those who have done one or another or both!

Thanks!

Hi, depends on your goals. If you want to lose weight I would recommend Insanity it is a great workout but 99% Cardio. After I completed my first Round, I extended it another 6 weeks rotating every two weeks vice three. Now I have been doing a P90X/Insanity Hybrid. Insanity is a great workout but after the first few weeks and eating like crazy I was still losing weight and muscle mass, so I decided to do a hybrid to keep the resistance training. Doing the hybrid until the new year then going to start X2. X2 is very different from P90X, and required more equipment, which also may be a consideration. I never tried P90X Plus.

Good luck.

Thanks Mark. I really don't want to lose more weight, I'm interested in continuing to build muscle, and having some cardio to burn fat and balance the weight training. I may try an Insanity/P90X hybrid to start to see how it goes. Thanks again!

Hi, like it was already said, it depends on your goals. I finished 1 round of P90X and like you, thought, now what? So tomorrow I'm doing another round of P90X. It worked great for me to gain muscle, and it could for you too. Whatever your goals are, work towards them! X2 is very different though, from what I hear it is much more core based than the original P90X, and it sounds much harder. I may try it one day, but just keep it up and do try something new if you get the chance.
