Nutrition advice!
Nutrition advice!

Hello all!
So i have just started p90x/insanity hybrid and i have a little problem with the nutrition part of it. I eat healthy everyday, but i reallly like chocolate. And i am trying to cut it out, because...well it's chocolate. And i have been thinking about possibly looking into bikini competitions, so i definitely need to eat very clean for that.
This may be silly to ask, but any advice on how to cut my want for chocolate all the time?!?! thanks emoticon

As a fellow chocoholic I know how you feel! How much chocolate are we talking about. Everything is good in moderation. Dark chocolate has good antioxidants. One way not to eat it is to not have it in the house! emoticon Is there a time of day or things that trigger you wanting chocolate? Figuring that out and then ways to distract you from it. If I really want chocolate I have it but in small amount. I also use shakeology so that helps, but you don't need to do that.

When is this competition?

Cheers,
Christina

Hey!

I just got on Team Bombshell and will start competing in the Bikini class in 2013...one good advice I can get you is that if you want to get the physique to be able to be competitive...you will need to cut chocolate. I don't wanna sounds harsh, but contest prep is really hard and tiring and everything starts in the kitchen. Of course, after a contest, you can have a little cheat, so if you want some chocolate, go for some dark pure chocolate!

well i do have dark chocolate sometimes, and i will only have one piece a day. but the problem is i am not the one who buys the junk food and chocolate and brings it in the house, my dad has the biggest sweet tooth so he brings it all in! my mom is also very bad for buying chocolate haha. so its always here tempting me! then there is always chocolate at work tempting me as well. sometimes i have will power, sometimes not so much. and i dont have a date for a comp yet because i am still looking into the whole thing.

@juliefitnesspro.......yeah i have been told i need to give up chocolate completely for competitions! thats why i am trying to do so now. the nutrition part will definitely be the toughest part for me, seeing as how dont have an actual food plan i follow. i am trying to make one that i will stick too but it is tough.

I use cocoa powder a lot- I mix it into oatmeal, smoothies, peanut butter, Greek yogurt. It feels like I'm cheating, but I'm not blowing my diet at all. There's only 10 calories and 0g fat per tablespoon and is high in antioxidants.

I found that Shakeology helps too. I don't know if it's because, again, I feel like I'm cheating because it tastes so good, or if the shake is just so healthy it's killing my cravings, but I've noticed less cravings since I started drinking it.
