Wrist Fracture Issues With Insanity
I fractured my scaphoid bone in my wrist a few years ago and have limited range of motion. I can only do pushups either with closed fists on my knuckles, or using push up bars. I was able to do all of the P90X workouts thanks to my dumbbells which I used as push up bars. After watching the Insanity Infomercial, I got worried that I wouldn't be able to use my push bars for some of the moves the same way I did during P90X. Will I be able to get by with my push up bars like I did in P90X? Or is Insanity not for me? In which workouts and what moves will be a problem for my wrist and how can I modify those moves?

Without knowing what kind of pain if any, you have in your wrist, it's hard to say.

The 2 biggest differences between the Insanity pushups and P90X are:

1 There are LESS in Insanity, however they are sometimes in burpees which may be an issue.

2 They are usually in a combo move, so there's less of a 'pushup' more of a 'plank' type move with something else going on.

You CAN modify all of these though so I'd say try it and see. Just don't go full out until you know what your wrist can handle.

And yes, for a lot of them you could use the pushup stands if you wanted. It will slow you down a bit, but once you know the routine and where you need them you'll be fine. It's better to be safe then keep up anyway
