WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO WORK OUT<3/NUTRITION TIPS FOR COLLEGE GIRL
HEY emoticon I am starting P90X today. I weigh 140 my goal is 110lbs by the end of February (Is this a realistic goal? I don't know)I have tried this program in the past and failed due to lack of commitment and no motivation to work out! I am in university and stressed a lot of the time which leads to eating terribly! I love my sugar and carbs. Can you guys share what motivates you to wake up in the morning and work out/ some healthy snacks and meals that are tasty and good alternatives to junkfood!! Or just some words of encouragement would be nice. COOL thanks emoticon

Hi Kayla,

The main thing is you need to decide to commit to your workouts every day and follow the nutrition plan. We have a P90X Challenge group online and a team on facebook that will help you. You'll receive motivation, accountability, encouragement, tips, etc.. Both my wife and I are Personal Trainers and have helped many people over the last 10+ years.

You'll need to cut out sugars and carbs is you want to lose weight. There are a lot of alternative snacks that you can have that taste good and are healthy.

Those that get results have something big that motivates them. To lose 20-30 lbs is great, but you need to ask yourself why. Why is losing this wight important to you? Dig deep tell you find that emotional response and use that to motivate you every day.

Hi Kayla!

I too am a college student, so I know where you're coming from! It can be hard navigating the dining halls and controlling the stress from school, but it can be done. It just takes commitment. You need to put your health first and, while it may involve some sacrifices, it will be worth it!

I'm naturally a morning person, so it's easy for me to wake up early and workout. But if you're not, think about how much energy your workout will give you for the day. Think about the great feeling you get once you're done. I like to workout in the morning because then it's "out of the way" and I can focus on schoolwork and still make time for social events.

As for nutrition, I stick to lean proteins, healthy fats, fruits, veggies, and whole grains. Some good snacks that I like are hummus and veggies, banana or apple with nut butter, avocado on Ezekial toast, 1/2 grapefruit and cottage cheese, or tuna and whole-wheat crackers. I also LOVE Shakeology, which makes for a quick, healthy snack.

I'm currently studying nutrition in school, so if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them! emoticon

I think I am going to try to work out in the morning because I know if I leave it until evening I might get tied up with other activities and skip working out. Also if i wake up early to work out I can make sure I eat a healthy breakfast. And thanks for the healthy snack suggestions I need to make a trip to the grocery store and stalk up on fruits and veggies!
