Last minute diet tweak...about to start! Expert help!
Hi all,

I'm about to start Body Beast, and let me tell you when I saw this program I knew it was just for me. Now, I need your advice, please.

Here are my stats...

step 1 - 100 - 21% / 100 X 244 = 192.76 lean body mass
step 2 - 192.76 * 10 = 1927.6 resting metabolic rate
step 3 - 1927.6 * .3 = 578.28 caolirc modification for recovery
step 4 - 1927.6 + 578.23 = 2505.88 resting metabolic rate modified for recovery
step 5 - 2505.88 + 600 = 3105.88 calorie intake to maintain weight

3105.88 - 20 % = 2485 (calories in take per day)

As per the guide I'm supposed to eat...

STARCHES 7
LEGUME OR PROTEIN LIQUIDS 3
VEGETABLES OR BALANCES LIQUIDS 6
FRUITS OR CARB LIQUIDS 6
PROTEINS 12
FAT 6
HARDCORE BASE SHAKE 1 SCOOP
FUEL SHOT 2 SCOOP

Here is the diet I put together but I have 3152 calories and need to reduce it to 2485. But, if I do so I won't achieve the number of portions I'm supposed to eat per day. I've attached a copy of my diet.

What would be your recommendations? Your advice is so appreciated. Can't wait to start!!!!

You may want to check the accuracy of the food diary you are using. I didn't go through the whole thing, but I can tell you right now that your bagel does not have 37 grams of fiber in it. Sometimes the info is wrong. Make sure you double check all those entries for accuracy or it will mess your results up.

Why did you substract 20% to you needed calorie intake? Is it because you wanna lean out instead of bulking? If this is the case i wouldn't follow the body beast recommend marco of 50%C/25%P/25F as these are for bulking. Instead i would put 50%P/30%C/20%F.

I substracted 20% because the book says to do so, if you have over 20% body fat for the beast phase. But, I actually want to lean...so I guess I should be doing the build/bulk phase and not substract the 20% and instead add 10% to get me to around 3,350 calories.

Wow. That's alot. That means even more calories, and if I want to lean, not sure if it will help. Maybe I should try your advice with the 50%P/30%C/20%F and remove some carbs and substitue for protein.

But, I'm thinking their guide should work...so why not follow it? Humm.
