Just Re-started but need support!
[/size]Ok So I got off track for a few weeks.. :/ I had only been doing TurboFire for about 2wks when something came up and I was not able to do it one night(I also drink shakeology for breakfast). After that, Every single night(The only times I can workout is at night. I work about 50-60hrs a week and am a single mom of a wonderful son that will be 3 in January) I fight with myself about getting back to doing it, then I end up just sitting there and relaxing because "My back hurts" or "I'm just SO Tired!"... and then I just take a shower and go to bed.. :/
Every Time I'm not able to do it one night, I Always get off track for a while. I gained back everything I lost(which wasn't a Lot but enough to make my work pants so loose that in about another week/week and a half I would've had to get more. Now they're back to being tight again :'( ). The last 3wks I've been sick. I'm still sick but I re-started TurboFire over last night. Just the prep schedule, and then I'll move on to the regular schedule. The reason I'm starting with the prep schedule is because I am 190lbs, 5'5, and hurt my knee once before by exercising.
My Biggest weaknesses are my diet and staying on track when I am just unable to workout one night. I have been overweight since I was about 8yrs old. The biggest I ever was was 220lbs. That was when I was about 17. I Hate the way I feel! For some reason, I just don't know why I can't start something and stay on it continueously!
My goal is to get down to 135lbs.. I Need this! And I Love TurboFire! So it's not like I need a different program to help motivate me or anything because I've Never found Any type of exercise Anything that I love so much!
If anybody has any advice for me, I'd Greatly appreciate it!

Hello Kristina,

What you are going through is very common. This is why gyms are full in January and empty by March. What you need to do is define a reason "why" Why is losing weight important to you? Not just that you want to drop 30 lbs, but why? Find a reason that brings up and emotional response....if this has been a problem since you were a child, there is a reason why it started....If you will find out the reason that make you cry and out it in front of you everyday, you will never miss a workout again! Both my wife and I are Certified Personal Trainers and Beachbody Coaches. We would love to help encourage you and motivate you daily. We have a facebook group that is on fire with people just like you looking for help and accountability! I'll send you a buddy request.

Hi Kristina! I'm Christina as well! emoticon

Happy almost 3rd Birthday to your son! I can understand how it hard to get back into it after a break. Habits take time for form and 2 weeks in not enough time for something to become a habit. There is theories on it, but it has been said that it takes 21 days to form a habit. This is not to say that after this time, sticking with is easy. We all do what you do so that is normal. What has helped me and others is to write down our goals where you can see them everyday. Post THEM!! Also having the scheudle posted posted where you can check it off. Have you thought about WHY you keep making excuses? There is unsually an underlying reason.

I work out in the morning but when i have to workout out at night I am less motivated. I lay out my clothes ahead of time both the night before or the day of- the day I working out night. As soon as I coem home I change into my workout clothes before my brain can catch up or I can make an excuse.

Every Time I'm not able to do it one night, I Always get off track for a while. I gained back everything I lost(which wasn't a Lot but enough to make my work pants so loose that in about another week/week and a half I would've had to get more. Are you tracking your food? Exercise? Follwing the nutrition plan? When you are sick be careful of over taxing yourself. Listen to your body. How are you feeling? I agree that starting with the prep schedule is a good idea.

My Biggest weaknesses are my diet and staying on track when I am just unable to workout one night. I have been overweight since I was about 8yrs old. The biggest I ever was was 220lbs. Tracking is so helpful! As is having accountability. I love TF too! Such an addict. I did HILT 25 and HILT 15 this morning. Having a supportive group is really helpful. I just started a new support/motivation thread- I would love for you to join us! Support & Motivation Thread

I KNOW you have it within you to DO this & Succeed! Start Today & Post that you did your workout!

Happy to help with any questions!

Hi Jeff,
Thank you So Much for responding!
The main reasons I want to get down to around 135lbs is because I'm sick of being Fat. Or overweight. Or Thick. Or Whatever anybody wants to call it.. I'm sick of being it! I want to look and feel good and healthy. I don't want to wonder if people are judging me because of my weight(which I have always felt). But every time I'm doing really good and sticking to my exercise routine and diet, I end up falling back. Usually just by missing one day. Or saying "This is going to be my One cheat day". Yeah... That does Not work! I guess when it comes down to it, I have to sacrifice some things that I might really like or love in order to get the results I want. My biggest problem is eating emotionally.
When I am stressed, I tend to binge a little.. What I am ultimately afraid of is gaining a whole lot of weight and getting huge and then feeling like I am Too big and it's too late. I know that is never the case but there are times that I get discouraged like that now. I Hate when I look at a picture somebody took of me and I look absolutely huge!
I need a change! A Complete Change. I need this for myself. For my OverAll health. Plus, I do Not want my son to pick up on my bad habits! I was made fun of and bullied a Lot in school. It would just tear me apart if he went through what I did most of the time I was in school!!

I just did the same thing. I hurt my back so I "took a week or two off". I got back on the wagon tonight. You can do it. You want to set a good example for your son and keep yourself healthy so he can have his awesome mommy for a long time! GOOD LUCK!!! You can do it.

Hi Christina!! emoticon

Thank you so much for responding! As far as your question to me thinking about why I may be making excuses, I really, honestly do not know! I Want to do it and lose the weight and in turn end up dwelling on it daily and tell myself every day that I am going to get back on it, and then end up doing the same things every night. Right now, because of a situation I went through, I am back living with my parents after about 3yrs of living in another state with my son's father. So my son and I currently share a room and it's impossible to set my alarm and wake up before he does to exercise in the morning. And like I stated above, I work 50-60hrs a week. So alot of nights I don't get home until after 8:30 at night. At that time, I'm usually hungry(which I know it is horrible to eat that late) and then I end up sitting back down then laying down on a really comfy couch "for just a few minutes" because my back hurts(but I do know that the more I exercise, the stronger my back gets, and the less it hurts) and then I end up starting to doze off and then end up just getting up, taking a shower, and going to bed.
I like your ideas and think for now on I may just try to eat something very light when I come home and change into my workout clothes immediately and get right on to exercising. I think that would help a lot.
I didn't know that it is said it takes 21 days to form a habit. That may help give me motivation just knowing that! And no I do not track my food. I am Horrible at craving something and just going straight into the kitchen to get what I am craving(if it is in the house). If I had my own place, it would be Easy to eliminate that problem by only buying healthy foods. But living with my parents, there is Always junk food and fattening foods. It is So Easy to get tempted!
But when I am on track, I can stop myself from eating the fattening foods and sticking with a certain diet and routine. But like I said, it only takes One time for me to mess up for me to go right back to my old habits. :/ I Hate It!

Lauren,

I know Exactly how you feel! It's not that I Don't want to do it.. I Really Do! I Want to get healthy and actually Change myself for Good and Not for a short period of times like I always have. I want it to be Permanent! An Actual Change!
Maybe we can help support each other. Since we're kind of going through the same situation..
