Not Loosing Weight
Not Loosing Weight

I started P90X about 3 weeks ago. Im on week 4 right now. I lost 5 pounds in week 1. Week 2 i lost 1 pound. Week 3 and even today i gained a pound. Ive ate very clean and followed the 2400 calorie format in the diet guide. Is this normal? Anything i can do to help? Im doing the classic. Thanks

Hi! I'm doing the Lean Phase, I am on week 3, my weight goes up occasionally, its normal for me. it could be that you have added some muscle. Just stick with it and keep doing what you are doing, nutrition is the key, make sure to keep a check on what you are eating each day and keep pushing play!

Coach is right sometimes you will have a gain rather than a loss and there are several reasons why that can happen. The important thing is that the trend is downward when it comes to weight. One question I have for you is if you have been a little more sore this week than you have been on other weeks. Seems like an odd question but trust me it can shed some light.

Ya week 3 i wasnt sore at all until friday after legs. I was way sore after legs on friday and kenpo on saturday. It was odd because the week before i killed legs and kenpo where in week 3 i was sore from legs and worn down from kenpo. Sunday i was still sore. Monday doing yoga i felt good but then later on yesterday i felt really sore again in my legs. Thought that was odd after yoga. Today i dont fell to bad though. Maybe a little sore.

The soreness may be an indication that you need to shift your protien/carb/fat ratio, for phase one it should be around 40/40/20. Plus with the soreness comes slowed weight loss and even weight gain check out this article by Chalene Johnson, it lines right up with where you are in the program.

These are the two places I would start. Just keep doing what you are doing and you should be fine. When I was losing my weight I would have times where I would stall or go up a little in a week and it was hard to see but I just stuck with it.

Cool thanks. Im eating about 200 grams of protein, 180ish carbs and 50ish fats give or take a few on any given day. Figured thats where i should be. Most of the time im just a bit below the 2400 calorie mark. Ill just stick to it and quit worrying about it.
