Make sure you take a rest day, either when it's scheduled or when you feel your body telling you it's needed! As for the eating, what is "that well," can you share with us what that's like? Don't forget, while Insanity is a phenomenal program, a majority of the results are seen from nutrition!

Don't get too fixated on weight gain or punishing yourself for enjoying the Thanksgiving Holiday. You will gain some weight especially in the begining with Insanity. You are building mucle which weighs more then fat. Follow the meal plan (I don't like the word diet too much, sounds too temporary), plan your week and you will find that you have changed your life style. That's more perminate and healther.

That doens't mean you can't eat "comfort food," it just means not everyday and everymeal. That why I said earlier, don't punish yourself for Thanksgiving or Christmass for that mater. Stick to the workout, take your rest days and keep talking to your team mates and coach.

Erik

Hi Sophiaa13! Are you just starting Insanity? Most people do see some weight gain in the first couple of weeks. This is mostly due to the muscle mass that they gain in the beginning. But it starts to slow down as the fat starts to come off. You will lose weight as you keep going with this program.
And as the others said, your nutrition is a very important part of this program. If you splurged over the holiday, don't sweat it. It happens to everyone sometimes. Just get back to following the nutrition plan that came with the program, or as close to it as you can, and you will see results.
And it is also very important to take those rest days when you need them. It gives your muscles time to heal, and will allow them to let go of some of the water they tend to hold onto when they are hurting. So don't skip the rest days.

Let us know if you need more help.
