Team Beach Body Beginner Help Please
Hi. My name is Amanda. I am not sure where a good place for me to begin so was hoping someone could help me figure it out?! I started off looking into Turbo Fire but cameacross starter programs, which Power 90 and Turbo Jam both caught my eye and now I question, is it better to start with a starter and which of the two has better results? They both have good ratings so can someone give me a personal opinion. Turbo Jam looks like it would be be more fun and will hold my attention but Power 90 seems like it would give better results..at the same time I am not sure if I should just go straight for Turbo Fire..ahh sorry, I am a dummy and so new at this. I want something that will keep me motivated and definitely not too overwhelming for a beginner that will make me feel like giving up. After having 3 kids I feel I will never be happy with my body and will do anything to get my prepregnancy body back before Summertime. Another issue, with Christmas around the corner and me being a single mother of 3, money is a little tight and with shakeology costing a pretty penny I may need to hold off until my money gets back right after Christmas so was wondering if I should still get pretty good results with a program until I can get some shakeology or if it will be better to just begin the program when I am able to get the shakeology? I am sorry for being a pain with all the questions, buutt if anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi Amanda
Well I wouldnt just start with ANY program...depending on if you have ever worked out before. You wouldnt want to start with Insanity or P90X or Turbofire. Depending on how much you want to lose , where are your problem areas, how old are you, have you worked out before , etc etc. What kind of exercise do you like...all cardio, dancing, some with weights or bands toning//I have done mostly all the programs. I will send you a buddy request and can get some better specifics and can better recommend a program to you
I went 4 months doing programs without drinking Shakeology. Theres some other things you can add to your diet for now. I have now had it for a month and wouldnt want to live without it.

hey amanda. well decisions, decisions.to answer this question better it would be better to know your goals but for now... when deciding, first pick who you want to be your trainer, chalene johnson, tony horton, shaun t, or whoever. so chalene johnson or tony horton? who do you think would motivate you more? now the difference between turbo jams and turbo fire with chalene johnson would be that jams has more dance moves and turbofire has some dance moves but mostly a lot of other stuff and cardio. either one of those will burn a lot of calories and give you results. turbofire is more difficult then turbo jams. and when it comes to power 90 and tony horton thats a great start up program because p90x is a great next step after. itll sculpt your body well. to answer this question better i would also need to know your goals.

and when it comes to shakeology. its great. if it wasnt for that i would have probably caved on this diet awhile ago and wouldnt have lost the 70 lbs ive lost so far. i love the taste. and it has tons and tons of benefits and good stuff in it. if your tight on money with the holidays coming up which i completely relate to you on. just start your program and order it when you can. its great and helps sooo much. but isnt needed for you to start reaching your goals.

hope this helps. i added you as a buddy. shoot me a ? whenever.

Hi Amanda.

I honestly don't think you can go wrong with either program. If you're new to fitness, I'd say Power 90 is an awesome way to get started with both weights and cardio, and will be a great gateway program for you. That said, if you think Turbo Jam would be more fun for you, go that route, because doing whatever you enjoy is more likely to keep you working out.

Also, there's no need to weight until you can afford shakeology. Shakeology is just a supplement, and is meant to fill in daily micronutrient gaps in an otherwise healthy diet. It's far, far more important to get your daily nutrients from whole foods than it is to take a supplement. Spend whatever money you have on whole veggies, lean meats, good fats (avocaod, olives & olive oil, coconut, nuts/seeds), fruits, dairy (if you're tolerant), tubers (potatoes & sweet potatoes), legumes, & whole grains.

Hope that helps.

Amanda, do the one that seems most interesting and fun to you. The biggest struggle for most beginners is maintaining the motivation to keep pushing play every day. A program you love will make that easy.

Don't wait until you can afford Shakeology to start. It's a great product but not required for your success.
