Women Doing Body Beast - Nutrition
Hello! I will be starting Body Beast in January 2013, or at least that is my plan so far. The nutrition I may modify a bit because I don't want to gain too much weight, however, I will adjust as I go I suppose.

All programs, at least the first round, is a learning process. I am exciting to start Body Beast because I LOVE LIFTING!! I am studying the nutrition carefully first of course to make sure I have it down good.

Oh, I also want to pay attention to what eat just before (which so far I have been doing correctly) and after.. It will be fun!

I will post results here!

Good Luck! I am in the 3rd month. I have added in more cardio as I felt pretty "thick" (although no weight gain so to speak) during Bulk Phase. I was aware going in that this would happen. I have pretty well figured out the eating part of it, and I love eating 2,200 calories per day.
I do the scheduled Beast Pahse workout one day, but the next I will do cardio. That may be Beast cardio, a Turbo Jam DVD, or a Chalean Extreme cardio DVD. The Tempo DVDs and Beast Total Body also get my HR up.
I know you didn't ask for advice, but I just wanted to sharewhat I've learned doing this prgram so far. I LOVE Body Beast and hopefully you will, too!

Hello, maggieshaw!!

Oh, no, I do welcome the advise!! I thank you so much!

I was also planning on doing an extra day of cardio because I do jogging every week and I don't want to neglect it.

So far, I have heard nothing but good things about Body Beast. This is my kind of workout too so when I saw it, I was so happy! Its only too bad that they didn't include women in the video. It would take some guessing away. On weight lifting I know, but the nutrition its the one I would have loved for them to be detailed about.

Thank you again for you comments and advice!

Hi - I am in my 5th week of Body Beast. I love the program so far. The time goes by very quickly and I just love strength training. However, I also feel that I need to do more cardio and from here on out, I will probably do one or two Beast days followed by a cardio day. I am terrible at following meal plans but I do try to eat "Clean" most of the time and portion control the rest of the time. I typically eat 2000 calories per day. I hope you enjoy the program.

Glad you made mention of this, as I'm starting Boduy Beast soon myself. I was working on tailoring the nutrition as what they published wasn't exactly what I wanted to do as I'm not a DUDE! Will keep in mind adding more cardio during "Bulk Phase". Thanks for posting the tip!

I'm also in my 5th week of the Beast. My goal is to get stronger rather than "huge," so I'm doing the Lean program. I've also modified the nutrition a little, and I'm not taking the supplements other than Suma Root. The stretching doesn't do much for me, so I typically do Yoga X on my off days. I'm in a challenge group that is doing Body Beast followed by Les Mills Combat, so I figure if I gain too much, I'll shred it with Combat. I highly recommend using the MyFitnessPal app to track your nutrition - it's helped me stay within the guidelines for protein/carbs/fat and it makes it easy for me to see where I need to make adjustments throughout each week. Good luck to you - it's a fun program!

I am glad you are all writing your comments. I may do a challenge group too when I start in January.

I also ordered Les Mills combat. It looks so much fun and I love kickboxing style workouts.

Once I start and I will post progress and results here!

Thanks!

This will be week 3 for me. Personally I am loving all of it, and am following the lean plan. 2200 calories is working too. (I had just finished insanity, and guess I didn't eat enough as I only lost 5 lbs - so far 2 down, in 2 weeks - and 5 inches! emoticon)
However, am wanting other recipes. Anyone know where I can find them that have the protein/fat/veggie/etc ratio already broken down?

Starting Body Beast on Monday. Having trouble coming up with a 2000 calories meal plan for Bulk and Build. P90X made it simple with sample meal plans. Any suggestions or sample meal plans you have used? I Will be taking Suma, Ultimate Protein and Shakeology.
