best shoes

i was wondering what shoes people are wearing when doing the Insanity workouts. My arches caused my more grief the first time i tried the program - i was wearing adidas running shoes. my arches also bothered me while running. i switched to asics gels and they are so lightweight that i can run longer. however, my arches are still cramping or at least are in pain whole doing the workouts. half of the time that i stop during the workouts is because my arches are hurting so badly - not because i am out of breath or my musculus hurt.

does anyone have any suggestions?

I was having the same problem. By time the workout was over, my arches hurt so bad I almost didn't want to continue. I was wearing shoes made for running at that time. I ended up getting new balance cross trainers. I forget which ones exactly and that part has since rubbed off. But since they are cross trainers they have a but more arch support, and a lot more support for lateral moves. The first time I wore them for a workout, no more foot pain.

I would definitely look for a cross trainer. My husband wears New Balance Minimus. It is a running shoe, but also says that it is a cross trainer. I have talked to someone else that loves this specific shoe for Insanity. She says it is fantastic if you have a narrow foot.

Hope this helps and good luck. You may just need to go to a shoe store and try on a lot of different shoes. When you find one that will work, you can probably get a better price online. Make sure you jump around in them. Don't worry about looking silly, your feet will thank you in the long run!
