That's actually how I got started with Beachbody! I won a FREE challenge pack at a bridal show which is where I met my coach! Now I am a coach myself because of my results! I couldn't be happier!

I have lost 25+ lbs committing to a healthier lifestyle using Shakeology AND I did the TurboFire program.

Ladies getting married... I am here for support and motivation if you would like it! I know the feeling of wanting to FEEL and LOOK good for your wedding!!!! I worked my butt off to look good in my dress and it was the happiest day of my life! I've continued to lose even more since then... it's an AWESOME feeling!

Anyone else out there getting married and committed to Beachbody for that reason? I'd love to help you!!!! emoticon

BEST OF LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY!!!! You can do it!!!!!!

I have been working with beachbody for awhile since 2009 I believe. My biggest issues has been keeping up with it. I started with p90x did it and completed it and quit, next I did insanity completed it and quit. So this is my third go around I am doing turbo fire, but adding in some extra work outs from insanity and p90x. Hoping to still with it this time since I have less than two years to my wedding and have approximately 20 lbs to lose by them. My biggest issue is how I eat, I can make myself do the workouts, but hard to make myself stick with a healthy diet.

I am, I got married in November 2011 and am having a blessing of some sort this year because my family couldn't come to my wedding. I am not at all happy with how I looked in my wedding photos and have actually gained 15lbs since then. So my goal weight loss this year is 35lbs.

I'm new to this site, do you have a group or something I can join?

I know I need to get back into it and complete it because I would like to lose about 50 pounds. When did you start seeing results? And what kind of diet did you follow? HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Hi! I am getting married in September of this year and my fiance and I started Power90 on Monday. So far, so good. The workout is tough but effective. I've already lost 4 pounds! I don't expect that to keep up at that pace, but it's a good motivator for me. We're adhering strictly to the Beachbody food plan that came with the DVD this week. Next week, we're branching out to a customized plan from Team Beachbody. It's been super beneficial to have someone with me every step of the way. I really love reading about the success others have had because it motivates me even more.
I'm a little curious about the coaching thing, though. How does that work? I was randomly assigned someone but I've never heard from them and when I checked their profile, there'd been no posting since July of 2012. I have not yet contacted her because I'm unsure of the procedure (and I'm notoriously impatient!).

Good luck to everyone!
Jennifer

Oh Jen! You and I are in the same boat! I actually started my Power 90 on 03/04/2013.

I'm getting in shape for my wedding too--but yours is much closer than mine. My fiance and I have decided to probably place it around October 19, 2014. It's WAY out there, but for good reason. We would like to get married in Disney World...but need time to save up for the wedding. It's not an INSANELY priced wedding...but it's still pretty insane for the little amount of people you can have. emoticon Still, saving is a good thing.

Another upside to setting it out so long is getting in shape. It's good to hear there's another bride out there that doesn't wait three months before her wedding (or worse--one month!) and then decides "Oh crap! I gotta get in shape!" Getting in shape for a lot of people is a very long-term goal and it takes time...especially if your goal is to "look" a certain way. With my wedding over a year and a half out, my goal is to complete Power 90 and several other Beachbody programs BEFORE the wedding. Power 90 first...the Power 90 Masters series, and then maybe a Brazil Butt Lift before attempting P90X.

Have you ever done Power 90 before, or is this your first time trying it out? I've done Power 90 on and off for years, but have never completed a full 90 days. emoticon I've gotten to about day 65 in the past (into Phase 2), but then something inevitably happens where my routine gets interrupted, and I don't finish or start up again. And sometimes it's like a year in between "starting up" again. emoticon One of my New Year's resolutions was to finish a full 90 days...and my wedding is definitely a motivator. Especially when you consider all the programs I'd like to complete prior to the wedding.

I'll stick with you on this one. We technically are on the same time frame to get it done. You'll finish a few days before me. In the past, I've found these message boards are REALLY good for keeping you motivated when you know you've got other people with you in the same boat.

Thanks for the help, everyone! I'll try to check in here once a day to let you know that I've done my workout! It helps to keep me accountable! emoticon

Getting married next year!!!! Probably on Halloween although I'm not sure about that yet. Anyways I would love to look fabulous on that day and for the rest of my life. However, I have issues with motivation and eating right. I've cut out soda and fast food but I still seem to have plenty of options for junk food. I am a sugar junkie too which doesn't help. I've been doing P90x but haven't been as consistent with it as I should be. Help with keeping my motivation up would be AWESOME!!!! I don't have a huge ways to go but I would like to establish healthier habits.

Stick in here then, fitpheonix! I may be the only one though... It feels like everyone just dropped off. If you're committed to coming in here and reporting your workouts, then great! emoticon

With regards to nutrition...have you tried like a food diary? I need to start keeping one myself. It does help with making you more conscious of what you're eating...so it's helpful in that regard. Ultimately, it's up to you. A REALLY extreme option is going vegan. There are plenty of vegan treats out there that have tons of sugar...but I've found that being vegan makes it really hard to eat all the nummy stuff that is bad for you. I went vegan for about a month and lost a lot of weight simply because being vegan cuts out A LOT of what you can eat. It's hard though. I need to go back to it...but am not quite mentally ready for that change again.

Anyway--I'll try to help in motivation as much as I can. Pushing play is all you though. If it would help for you to come in here though and see that at least someone is in the same boat, then let's do this together! emoticon

My day 5 of Power 90 is done! emoticon

Hi everyone! Day 6 completed! Today was Sculpt 1-2 and a session of Debbie Seiber's "Thin Thighs!" Keep at it, everyone! No matter what you look like...you FEEL the results. And I'm SUPER happy about that. SUPER happy.

As an example for people who may be frustrated...I have seen my weight go up. That said, I've done this program several times (and failed...so I keep starting back up emoticon ). I know this is the way things naturally go when I start exercising. I don't lose weight anymore...I actually gain weight. It's when I'm NOT exercising that I actually lose weight. I have determined that this is most likely due to the fact that I'm drinking more water and adding muscle--which can apparently happen, even in a week's time. I FEEL great though, and I can already see small changes happening. So...it's motivating me to keep going! emoticon

Also...I said this in another thread I posted in--but I'm going to start something different this time around as I attempt Power 90. Even though we're supposed to have a "rest day"--and I am going to have a rest day--I'm still going to do something very light tomorrow. Even if it's just a walk around the block. I am a creature of habit...and I think the best way for me to stay in the habit of exercising is to make myself exercise each and every day. Power 90 6 days a week...and then a VERY light exercise of some kind (even if it's maybe like a session of Power 90 abs) on my rest day will hopefully keep me going.

Good luck everyone! Rest day tomorrow!

Well, I guess this will be a forum unto myself! LOL! Day 7 of Power 90 done! Sweat 1-2, Phase 1 completed. Tomorrow, it'll be back to Sculpt.

Things I learned today:

1. I'm stronger than I think I am. Me and the fiance went over to Costco tonight and didn't get home until almost 8 PM. Starting a workout that late is not fun for me, and I generally talk myself out of it. Thanks to the support from my fiance though, and me pushing myself and thinking about everyone on the forums that are holding me accountable--I got my butt into the workout. And I'm GLAD I did, because the workout was easier today! I'm able to keep up better, AND I am actually balancing better on the kicks. Leg strength of yore is slowly returning...and it's a great feeling. The only thing I've noticed that I still need work on is the cross hops in Phase 1-2. My legs aren't quite strong enough to do them yet, and my ankles KILL (even when I'm trying to have the "soft landing"). I am going to just try to do more every workout. Eventually, I'll get there. Regardless, I KEEP moving. emoticon

2. As I've mentioned before, this is not my first P90 experience. I've done this in the past and have failed miserably (i.e., stopped at like Day 65). Even though it's been over two years, I think, since I last did this--it's just like riding a bike in terms of how familiar the routines are. Therefore, I've identified already that boredom is a real potential (especially since Phase 3-4 is pretty identical to Phase 1-2, just with one more "rep" of the routines). So--an awesome feature of P90 is that they allow you to turn the music off. I have a lot of music on my laptop, so I have decided that a great way to "mix it up" is to try out a new workout soundtrack every time I workout. That way, hopefully, it'll give me just enough diversity to not get bored. It certainly worked today. "Super Massive Black Hole" by Muse and "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins are GREAT workout songs. ;) I know I'm a dork. I think I need to add some Lady Gaga into the mix, and start buying those techno aerobic music CDs...mix it up.

Keep pushing play, everyone! emoticon We'll get through this!
