When do I start another program?
I'm on the final week of Insanity and wanted to ask everyone how much "time off" do you give yourself and why before you start your next program. I was thinking two weeks, the reason is to shock the system once I restart. Does this make sense?

That makes complete sense! I would say give your body at least a once week break from the intense cardio workouts of Insanity. Everyone need's a rest sometimes, and it is actually healthy to take a break every now and then.
I would say two weeks would be a good time to start again, because after that time, your body wont "remember" the intense workouts, and when you start over, or start a new program your body will be shocked from the break, and you will actually get more out of the workouts if you rest, rather than going straight into them (Even though, it would still be tremendously good for you)
I'd also say, don't wait too long either. You don't want to risk the chance of falling out of shape, as well as losing some motivation to get back into the workout.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "the reason is to shock the system...." but I think two weeks is a great interval. Get active rest during that two weeks but don't hammer out any hard workouts.

Good advice has been given so far, and I can do nothing but agree. I waited 2 weeks in between my first and second P90X round and at the start of round 2 the workouts were killing me again. I would recommend two weeks, you could even do light cardio like jogging, biking, or something like that if you wish to continue working out during the time in between programs.
