It doesn't matter which program, just jump on here and let's help each other out.

I plan on going to Arby's and getting that Jamocha shake....

Kidding of course (well, maybe not kidding.... I REALLY WANT one)

On a serious note, think I have hit that wondrous plateau! Think I'm gonna up the cals for a while (like we talked about earlier) and then get back to Insanity (was doing great then mom came in town for surgery etc) Kinda derailed it. But in the end I think it's a good thing. I want to reset my metabolism and while I am at it mix in some P90. I have been talking about doing that for 6 months! I just LOVE Insanity so much that I hate to stop it. So, the master plan is to break up the P90 and do a segment after each Insanity workout. I really don't want to stop the cardio but would like the extra edge that P90 would offer.

I have maintained the progress I made with my first full round of Insanity and the workouts that I have managed since I finished. Husband says I am still loosing and I have no reason to doubt him. I just think it's more maintaining than loosing. If I am loosing any it has slowed WAY down (as to be expected) Ready to break the plateau and shed these last ten pounds or so.

Here's to ending the year STRONG!!!!

Be blessed guys!

Hi Ashley... glad you stopped by. I may not be in PA, but we can all find some motivation from each other here, facebook, chats, etc... How far did you get in P90X last time? Do you want to complete that program, now? What do you compete in.

I really hope you stick with it. When a group gets together like this toward a common goal, it makes it MUCH easier to keep going!

First off....before you start, set some goals, take your measurements, and take some pictures. Then set a daily schedule of the workout you want to complete.

HeyBabe - Glad to see you want to bust through that barrier that you are at! One other thing you might try, lifting heaver weights. I know you mentioned Insanity and the HIIT cardio will torch the weight, but remember that muscle burns more calories than anything else. The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn. Lift heavy things and put them down for a few weeks and see if that doesnt kick start it too! Add some more weight to P90

To subscribe, you have to post first. I hope you can get that figured out! ;)

Accountability Day 2 - P90X/Chest and Back and Plyo Cardio
Today's post is for both days. I have had to change up my schedule and workout after the kids are in bed. chest and Back was as expected. I have started doing reverse pull-ups in an effort to increase my strength on the pull ups. Even assisted, I can smoke myself doing them reverse. I will swap it up every week. PlyoX would have been a little long for me tonight, so I subbed with HIIT from Insanity. Some good Plyo Cardio Circuit will do the trick!

I have changed up my recovery. I want to grow some size (muscle only) so I am incorporating more protein.

Here was today's intake:

Coffee with truvia and almond milk

Greenberry Shakeology with banana, ice, 6 oz water, 6 oz almond milk..blended

Wheat crackers, chicken salad, grapes, and baby carrots

Pineapple, grapes, cantaloupe - snack

Sesame Chicken and veggies for dinner with glass of red wine

almonds for snack

Recover was choc shakeology with 2 scoops whey, 6 oz almond milk, 6 oz water, and ice...

Jevon - you are such an inspiration! A full year of proving that setting goals and working hard REALLY pay off. Have you submitted your info for the Challenge? You have a great story!

HeyBabe - So happy to see you over here. I have been keeping up with you on FB, but good to have us all back here, too.

Speaking of GOALS, let's talk about that for a minute:

GOALS
Why are you doing this? Is it to loss 5 to 10 pounds, is it to impress someone, or is it to change your life? This is a life changing program and it is totally worth it and everything worthwhile is worth working for. To make sure that you get these life changes you should read through the Fitness and Nutrition guides from your respective programs to help you understand the steps necessary. Whatever your goals are now, I urge you to consider this a lifetime change, not just a 60 or 90 day challenge. Make fitness part of your life and you will forever be thankful and you will be a better partner, parent, person and be around for the ones you love.

Let me know what your goals are...we can find a way to get you on the path to reaching them. The people on this board are proof!!

Hi everyone, Chad invited me into joining this group when I attempted to start my own group for my second round of P90X. I'll just say a bit about myself as a sort of introduction. My name is Matt, I'm 17 years old and a senior in high school. I live in Maine, and I work at a local restaraunt in addition to going to school. I have completed one round of P90X already, and used it mostly to build muscle. I'm pretty skinny, 5'7 and currently 130 pounds, I started my first round at 122 and have lost body fat in addition to the muscle gains I made last round. This round I have a few different goals: 1. Gain another 7-10 pounds of muscle. 2. Maintain current body fat (I do not know exactly what it is, but I assume it's less than 10%) 3. A more specific goal is to increase the size of my shoulders. 4. To have better cardio by the end of this round as well.

As of now I have done 2 days of my second round, and did well both days (although my plyo day became more of a custom Cardio X day today) and I can't wait to keep this going. Another thing I will say about me with P90X, I do follow the diet plan as close as I can, but I'm just not willing to count calories. I feel like it is restricting for me personally and I prefer to maintain a good diet of all around healthy food. Well that's my introduction, I'll keep posting every day that I work out. I'm glad to be a part of a group again, I can't wait to really get goign on P90X again!

Day 85 (265) Chest & Back + Ab ripper X - Done

Usually one of my favorite workouts but I was exhausted today and while I matched all of my numbers from the previous workout I was quite exhausted after. Think Im just about over my cold which is good. This is the last week of this 3rd round of P90X - its supposed to be a recovery phase but I need to push a little more.

Chad - Not a year yet! 3/4 of a year. After this next round Ill have a year. Ill need some help to stay inspired! Thats why Im here. Nope, I haven't submitted any info into a challenge - not really sure how I guess.

Matt - Good to see you here. My oldest son is 17 and close to your size - a little taller and maybe a few pounds heavier. I tried to get him into P90X but he wouldn't commit to it. He plays a lot of hockey and it would really benefit him if he would. My 13 year old son is a workout machine and it has really helped him in hockey and put on some muscle. He is the only 13 year old I know with a 6-pack. Its great that you are now on your second round!! FYI, I noticed the most gains and biggest changes in the mirror during my second round - keep pushing hard and you will really be happy after this second round. For me, the third round has seemed like I hit a wall - not a lot of improvements, just maintaining. It will be interesting to see if there are any noticeable differences in my before/after pictures. Anyway, good to see you here!

Am I the Elder of the group at 40 now?

Hi All -

I've been silent from the boards for a few days, but still working out. Just having a rough week.

HeyBabe - glad to see you back! I am also hitting a plateau, in weight loss and in motivation to work out. I think I am getting burnt out on Insanity and P90X, need to try something new.Maybe Turbo Fire. I am maintaining my weight, but would also like to lose a few more pounds. My eating has not been good lately! This time of year there a so many temptations!

I will get caught up later.

Matt - Great that you stopped by! Man, at 17, if I would have done something like P90X....ah.....oh well. I will just have to make do with what I have now! I dont really count my calories anymore either. But I would suggest doing it for a couple of days just to see where you are. Once I got a good baseline of my 400+ a meal average, it really helped me lose weight. I know you arent trying to lose, but you should still look to see that you are getting enough protein and calories to build that muscle. Tracking it for a few days wouldnt hurt to give you a glimpse in to where you are and want to be.

Jevon - elder statesman! I am right there with you on the age. Go checkout beachbodychallenge.com and just submit your story, pics, etc... $500 drawings, monthly, annual, and big ones, too!

Brooke - Bad weeks come and go. I feel for you. I know this sounds hollow from some guy you converse with on a message board, and that 'Likes' posts of yours on FB, but if there is anything I could ever help with, let me know.

Tonight will be Shoulders and Arms. Easily my fav.

When does everyone workout? I know we have discussed this before, but probably in a different thread. I can really tell a difference in my energy and rep count between morning and night workouts. I want to get to that place where I can work from home (Jevon...cough) and pick my ultimate energy time to do it. I think it would be right around lunch, for me. If I wait too late at night, I exhaust quicker (physically) but get wired from the workout and the pre-workout supplement. So then I have to fight to get to sleep. too early in the morning and I dont have the time for the pre-workout supplement and my reps are lower because I feel rushed to get the day started. With my schedule now, those are my only two options.

How about everyone else?

Chad

Hey all... talking about calories and, in turn, nutrition...

Nutrition
If you want great results, then consider nutrition at least half of the battle. Nutrition plays a major role in how we reach our goals. Read the nutrition guide for your program and follow the plan. You can prepare week by week or whole month at a time.

• Shakeology is a great way to get your nutrition started. As a meal or snack, all natural, chock full of vitamins and minerals, it can replace your multi-vitamin and get you started on the right path to eating right.

I have been drinking Shakeology DAILY since the end of February. It really has made a difference for me. Breakfast was my smallest/worst meal of the day. I just didnt have the time (so I thought). I now have two shakes a day. One in the morning and then one with my protein powder at night.

I havent been down and out sick (allergies is about it) my stomach is better, food digestion is better, natural energy is better. I used to be a 3-4 cup of coffee a day guy to stay moving. Not anymore. I have one in the morning and that is it.

I have some sample packs coming, so if anyone is interested, let me know. Give it a try for yourself.

Great thread you have going here. I'm using my Turbo workouts until Combat! I have to agree with your opinion of Shakeology. Amazing stuff in a cup! I have more energy and less cravings when I drink it.

Keep pushing play and paying it forward, coach!

Pop in & post daily for motivation and support. You will have questions along the way and there is no better place than here. As the group grows, you will build relationships with others. You will care about their success and them about yours. It really can be powerful.
