Shakeology Cleanse
Shakeology Cleanse
12/4/12 1:14 AM
So day two of the Shakeology cleanse. I am still in this!!!! Just one more day to go and then I can go back to planning a regular, low calorie, high protein diet. I really needed a kick start...
Aside from being pretty hungry here and there, I feel good. Obviously, I am doing minimal working out (just a squat challenge) until the cleanse is over. Then I am restarting Insanity.
Have any of you done the cleanse? What results did you have?

I did it!!!!!! I made it through the three day cleanse and my weight dropped 6 pounds! Even better, my hunger has lessened and I am satisfied with a lot less food. I am hoping this will seriously kick off my weight loss now. I am restarting Insanity tonight!!! Can't wait!! It took me a lot to go through with the cleanse - mostly finding a group of people who went through it with me! I have joined a few challenge groups that have helped me continue to make progress!

It actually wasn't as bad as I feared. I am trying to get used to not eating as much during the day at work. I had my shake in the morning with fruit in it. Then I had an apple for a snack, a salad with chicken for lunch (lowfat dressing - 45 cals). I had another salad after work around 5ish and then a final shake at night. That's a bit different than recommended - three shakes, one veggie/chicken combo and fruit. At any rate - it's not a lot, but it wasn't awful! And I like that I am much more careful with my food now that I am done. I also feel like I am eating a ton less to feel full - I had an omelet for breakfast and felt like I had eaten Thanksgiving dinner lol!
All in all - not easy, but worth it!!!! And I am REALLY pleased with the results - I've been struggling for ages to drop some weight!
Let me know if you do it and how it goes for you. I want to do it in a few months again.

The cleanse has had lasting effects for me! Since I got used to not eating most of the day at work, I am still only having an apple during the day at work (sometimes two). I also don't seem to need an afternoon snack as much. I think the cleanse just takes you out of the zone of eating because "it's time" or you just feel like it... I deifnitely plan to do this again in a month or so to keep myself eating well (and less).

Just wanted to chime in and say you don't have to starve yourself into sexy.

I can't even count the number of times I went full on binge from feeling so deprived and hungry. If your like me and find being on a diet more hell then heaven....remember to fill each meal with plenty of protein and green leafy vegetables.

Broccoli is my secret weapon. I put it with EVERYTHING! Eggs, chicken, steak, rice, potatoes, .......the more protein and green leafy vegetables in your nutrition, the more sated you will feel.

And remember, calories in green leafy vegetables don't count! Your body burns more calories digesting these food sources then what's actually in them.

Great points!!!!
One of the tips I have gone by lately is to ADD to your diet instead of focusing on taking away. My problem area is adding fruit - so I have been focusing on eating an apple and berries each day.
I love broccoli! Will have to make it be featured in more of my meals emoticon
I like the cleanse because I need to remind myself at times how much my body really needs in order to be satisfied - I think our society's eating patterns cause us to learn habits of overeating.

Going for a second round of cleanse. I want to rein my eating back in again and get my body used to less food. I have also planned great meals for the few days before and after the cleanse.
