Thanks again Charlie. I'm definately going to get my head straight this weekend and get going with Burn again on Monday. I was so pleased with the results for the last round even though I did 2 months of push because the lean disc didn't work. BB have shipped a replacement so hopefully I'll do the full programme this time around and no more excuses!

I'm hiking and horseback riding this weekend so a few days clearing my head will help and then back to Burn 1 come Monday, although I might throw an early Burn or Push in this weekend as well as I do really enjoy it when I can get motivated to push play. I think I need to listen to the motivation CD again.

Looking forward to seeing who else joins us for this 3 months.

Hello,

I got my DVDs yesterday and will be starting today! I'm going shopping for weights in two hours and I can't wait for the first workout to begin!

I am new to this website so I am not sure what the coach that you are referring to is supposed to do, since this is an at home workout?

In any case, I would love to have a place where I can ask questions and share my success with other people who are also doing Chalean!

Hi Mary

You normally have a coach assigned to you when you join the site I believe, they provide help, assistance and motivation online. I changed over to Charlie who has started this thread and he has been a huge help. I've done one round of CLX and got great results even though the last month was a repeat of month two. I honestly don't think I'd have completed it without the help and support of Charlie and the other guys on the old thread.

Welcome to this group, and I hope you enjoy the programme. It really has been my favourite and I love using the weights. Ask away with any questions and someone will be able to help.

Welcome to the group! I requested you as a Buddy on here so check your buddy requests! I will then send you some additional information in your inbox to help you out once you accept! Happy to have you! Yes, this is a at home workout. Some people do indeed do them in the gym as long as you can remember all the moved :-) I look forward to helping you in anyway I can!

Hi Charlie! I started out as a part of the last CX challenge but dropped out unfortuntely emoticon. My head was really in a bad place back then. I have since gained some weight back that I lost and really want to get started with Chalean Extreme again. I hope you can forgive me for falling apart last time and allow me to be a part of this new challenge. I would love to be a part of it!

thanks for the explanation!

I've added you as my buddy Charlie, but I'm still not quite sure what that means and in which ways will you provide help...

I took my measurements, wrote down my weight and took pictures, plenty of them.

I'm doing Burn 3 today, so far I haven't skipped anything and I don't plan to, ever. I do not find the workouts that difficult - I have some pain in my triceps, shoulders and my inner thighs, but I was hoping for some more (glutes, legs...). I believe that the bigger group muscles should be working more, since they burn more calories, but since I don't feel any pain in my legs since I started, I'm considering doing some extra squats and lunges when the workouts are done.

I don't have a lot of weight to lose, just a couple of pounds, I have to tone my body and reduce my body fat which is around 26% right now emoticon

I started this morning, 12/10 - but didn't see this post prior!

A funny story for ya all on OVER-planning....yesterday, since I haven't watched a DVD in forever, I figured out how to hook up my idle dvd player, dragged my weights up from the basement and laid out my workout clothes. I get up at 4:00am, so need EVERYTHING to be ready! Sooooooooooooo, I was sittin' there feeling a little UNmotivated last night and decided to WATCH part of Burn 1 just to see what I was in for and make sure I had enough "space" cleared. Watched MOST of Burn 1, then clicked over to Burn 2, mainly to see if I needed to bring my exercise ball up for that one. Nope. Good to go. Got everything set to just turn on the TV and GO in the morning!

So I start out this morning, doing fine until I turned to write down my dumb bell weight and reps on the first one. I didn't have my glasses on, but assumed it went in the first box, duh! About the 3rd exercise in I could make out "Push Up", and I hadn't just done push ups! Quickly ducked away to get my glasses, and realized that NONE of the descriptions were what I had just done! After a few minutes of cussing about how could they make the sheets not match the workout sequence..........I realized I never set the dvd back to Burn ONE, and was doing Burn TWO! *smacks forehead*

With no time to switch - I did Burn 2, and plan to do Burn 1 one Wednesday....and sleep with my glasses on!!!!

Hopefully that won't screw things up too miserably - LOL!

(I promise to never talk this much again! But no one else in my life would understand the above!)

Can I still join? *snort*

This year I've lost 30 lbs thru diet and C25K, and the pics look like what I thought I looked like BEFORE, not now!

Oh well - gotta have a starting reference I guess - onward and upward!

Those pictures will be motivational for you to continue pushing - go find a pic of what you want your body to look like as a goal to strive for - Keep them together! It will help for motivation! :-)

I'll join in! I just started my first day of CLX yesterday and completed Burn 1. It was super fun and totally do-able. I would have pushed myself a little harder but I need to get a more complete set of weights. I think I will have to try using the Bands next time because I asked for an adjustable weight set for Xmas. Hopefully Santa thinks I'm a good girl this year emoticon

I'm not super sore today but rather I feel a tight/achey feeling in my muscles, which I hope is a good thing. Looking forward to this program! I've done TF twice before but never fully completed it. I had trouble sticking with the 6 day a week, 45-60 minute workouts. I am really looking forward to seeing the changes in my body with a strenghtening program. I never really got all of the results I had been looking for with cardio programs. This will be a welcome change. I have been tracking my calories with Lose It app for about 9 months now (admittedly not always consistantly) and I have been working out here and there. So far I lost 10lbs doing that alone. My goal is to loose another 10lbs

Even though today is a rest day, I have some time later so I plan to hit up the gym for some cardio tonight!
